The only knock I've heard about the BX kubotas is that they don't have tachometers. There are add-on tachs you can install but this is a shortcoming. How can you set the proper pto speed without a speed indication?

This is the kind of info I want. I had used that extension cord while building the garage and it just keeps coming out everytime I need it. So far I only used it for small compressor (nail gun and buzz saw work) I dont plan on using it for the burial since that wire is not uf and also I did not think it was large enough for what I need it for over the next 5 years.
I am looking for the cheapest way to get power out to the garage to run a table saw (sporadically while building my newer house portion) but mostly for lighting in the garage and maybe a buzz saw.? I am NOT planning on keeping this set up. after I build I will run a main line with 220 to a panel. I just dont want to jump the gun and run power to a spot that I may need to move in the future. Also I dont know exactly where other utilitys will be so I may have to dig up the electric source later. That is why I dont want to do it right (the first time) SO
What would you run for a 200 foot run for what I described if you wanted it to be expendable in a few years?

Why would it have a 17 la loader on it if it was not super steer? Something dont sound right? I think anyway.

I have the BX23 same tractor as the BX2330 and I've moved about 75 yards of top soil with mine with NO problem. I've moved all kinds of things with it so far. get a rear blade for it they work well, I also have the 60" inch belly mower with it and it cuts the lawn great, best mower I've ever used it does a far better job then my Bolen does, but then again my Bolens 27 years old...needed to up grade. Good luck.. I love mine... It's better then a wife...

You may have a small metal plug on the side of the machine, a quarter size oil window, or a dip stick in the rear of the tractor or near you left heel. I am not sure of your tractor model but look for something in the half way mark of your transmission or rear axle. Good luck

I spoke to the owner of the 360 DTC - he started a landscape business but has now decided, for whatever reason, to give up on the business and to go back to shift work. The tractor is stored inside. The finish mower is a Rhino. The dealer sold him a Great Bend loader because this dealer does not like the Long loaders.

I drove to a Long dealership today. They were closed, but a 360 DTC was parked outside. I, too, am not impressed by the Long loader. The absolute finest loader that I have found on a CUT is the Czech made loader on the Zetor/Centurys. In general it is much more heavily built than Long's loader and every pivot point has an easily replacable sleeve bearing.

I have an appointment later this week to go to the garage and see the Long 360 DTC.

What troubles me a bit is on the advertisement they have on ebay for their tc40 gear mfd. They say in the description that it has ALL the features of a deluxe model. That is not true if you relate a deluxe with hydro because you can NOT get the tractor from the dealer with the rubber mats and its related parts behund your legs, I believe a cup holder too. I tried to get it and was told they only put it on the deluxe hydro models. So all in all I guess it dont have ALL the features.

I've got a fellow trying to sell me an 1806. He wants a $1000 for it. Has I believe a 42" mower deck. Seems to work OK. Can anyone tell me the years it was produced and thoughts on this tractor? Thanks.

Jim - never used a rotary harrow sorry for the lack of knowledge there. My tr3 rake is a 5' footer. Yes it's heavy but its in the high 900 lbs range. The scarifier's on it are razer sharp & heavy duty. I have loosened some of the hardest clay soil up in no time. There are mowing parts - Pipe. there are these leveling bars that move up & down to allow the grader blade to scrape the high spots & fill in the low spots. I have a rule of thumb I have always used when purchasing anything....You get what you pay for!! That goes for everything. You hire a cheap contractor to do work for you & you get cheap work. When I saw the price tag on it when I first researched it, I new it had to do everything they said it would, & it did! It has saved me major time installing new lawns & I install almost 75 Lawns a year. Most of which have poor soil provided by the builder (GC)which is usually clay. It also pulls up the vegitaion well that has grown while they build the houses.

As for the horsepower debate there is no question in my book. My bx1500 15hp. diesel has more power than any of my previous gas garden tractors. This includes brands like Honda,Kholer,Briggs, and Kawasaki wich were used in my part-time lawn care business. I just wish I would have switched sooner.

Is BX1500 the right choice

I just purchased a bx1500 a couple of weeks ago, and boy am I happy with it. Mind you I have a little over 7 acres about 2 grass and 5+ wooded and so far this thing has done everything and more than I expected. As for digging I've dug out several small banks with no problem.And mowing, no problem cutting through the foot plus high grass near the woods.

Not so far, and I have beat it up pretty good. I am concerned about the same thing, a little crude at the scarifiers, but it is holding up well. I probably have about 50 hrs of grading use so far with it, mostly with the scarifiers down in the first position.

It is definitely beafy enough for grading my road, driveway, and some land clearing I have been doing.

I have the same tractor and use it with a bush hog (Rotary Mower). I know what you are going through.
The first problem you have to overcome is the fact that the B7500 does not have position control on it's 3PT hitch. I solved that with a Mower Deck Stabilizer from Zerco. This kit is basically a set of chains to limit the drop of the front of the deck. I purchased it from a local Kubota dealer, but dealers in your area should be able to find a similar kit. You would need to get a long top pin from Tractor Supply or someone else to pin the tractor end of the top link since there will need to be a metal plate on each side of it. On each bottom pin there is another plate with a chain attach. After connecting the bottom pins raise the deck and attach the chains. NOW you have a limit on the drop.
Once you have the front height set you can adjust the rear wheel. Remember, the front needs to be a little lower that the rear. About 1".
