Got my 3130HST with 723FEL last Friday. Fantastic. Last time felt like this was when got first bike for Christmas back in the '50s when getting a bike was a big deal for a poor kid.<br>

Does even more than I expected.<br>

Will share experiences later for any novices still wondering whether to take the plunge.<br>

One quick question. I don't have a place to lock it up yet and am a little nervous, although my place is well out of site up a wooded hillside from the road.<br>

What I wanted to do for the time being is park it between a couple of big trees (I have plenty) so no one could put it on a trailer or rollback without doing some serious chainsaw work first, but at first blush I haven't come up with a simple way to keep someone from starting and driving away.<br>

The old "take the distributor cap with your" won't work on this baby. Is there something similar on the diesel?

I have a garage that is 200' from my closest power source (my cabin) I use a 250' piece of 12ga house wire right now with plug ins on the ends when I need power out there. As you probably can imagine that is getting old, rolling it out every time I am there and back up again when I leave not to mention the hassek everytime I want to move equipment from garage to house or for field work.<br>
I am moving in less than 5 years to this place and plan to build a house attatched to the cabin along with anouther garage. When I do move and build I will be using this garage for 110 everyday while building the house. I also have never had electric strung out there in winter (ever) and that makes it a pain when cutting up deer or what ever! <br>
I have been around this block once before so I am not making the same mistakes twice! <br>

Would it be ok to run a uf wire underground from the house to the garage and (temporarily) only put it 12" under the ground? My thinking is to put in a post next to the cabin with an outdoor box on it that I could hook up a short extension cord to to provide power out to the garage. This way here I would only have the cost of the wire and box that I would eat in a few years. Untill then I would only be using the electric for small hand tools maybe a table saw or chop saw sporadically and a few flouresent lights.<br>
I plan on making part of this garage into a workshop and may add on to it so I really dont want to wire it up yet because my plans may change.<br>
How un-safe would it be to run the wire the way I said?<br>
We have NO zoning/inspections where I live so I would like to be half way safe yet dont want to spend too much and eat it later.<br>

Unless it is for the lightest of tasks, DO NOT use the 210 loader without correct ballast. I almost learned this the hard way -- carrying a full bucket of topsoil (with a York rake on the 3PH) and turning on a slightly downhill lie. Fortunately I was able to lower the bucket quickly enough to catch the tip -- otherwise I would have joined the upsidedown club... Now I use the weight bucket filled with concrete, and find it provides good counterballance to the loader load. I previously had a 755 that I never used the weight bucket with, but the 2210 is some 400 lbs lighter and distributed entirely differently. IMHO the attachments you are talking about are not enough counterballance.

I hope you made it.:-) I am always somewhat entertained by arguments based on "statistics", especially when a serious point is supposed to be supported by them. I think Ann would agree (She nearly said it.) that we often use statistics to account for the probability of an event whose cause is so complex or poorly understood that we can't predict the event with our knowledge of the cause.

Statistics are great when it comes to drawing conclusions from a data sample that contains no bias. Too often the known bias is ignored because it adversely affects somebody's agenda.

My gun is at the gunsmith getting a trigger job and my Dr doesn't work on holidays. I must be quite safe. :-)

I use my BX2200 to lift and spread 3/4 inch crushed stone all the time, 2 ton loads onto my driveway. No problems, very efficient and strong. Won't compete with a bobcat but you know that! You'll love what it can do.

My JD 300 will not free-wheel when the knob is opened. What would cause this and any thoughts on cost to repair? It seems to function fine otherwise. The fluid and filter have been replaced.

If your 10K is in cash, have you considered financing the rest? A tc33 should do you, the impliments you talk about can be a after thought and used. A back blade will do till you get the ching for better. Go price a tc33w/fel keep it simple and you may find that with a little financing you can swing the new tractor. Regaurdless of what you end up with make sure it is what you really want AND need or dont get it. Your new tractor should last you the rest of your life and will be a fine investment. (That is the line I used on my bride! it worked also)

If its in good condition, it sounds right in the ball park.
Try to get anouther 1k off and it will be a great price.
On a side note though, that is what I think for my area, I realize and you should 2 that different areas bring different prices to the table.

You can also overwrite an old picture with a new picture.

The blank J-Peg is useful when you want to erase and not re-write a particular frame.

It's been my experience that if machines are running fine and suddenly quit it's usually an electrical problem. First things first, see if you're getting spark at the plugs.

Have you had any problems with the scarifers and how they insert (IE: wearing out or elongating the slots?)
I am looking into a KK 6' model and had 2 concerns one being what I described and the other being how it hooks up to the 3 point (being a bit less beefy than other names)
All in all it looks the same as all the rest besides what I described.
