Bingo,!! I am pricing replacement scarifer/rippers today. After looking at pics I can make this impliment. I will compare price with what it costs retail and decide then wchich way to go.

Thanks for the input. I don't know what the digging is like. If it's clay (and there are veins of it on the property) I guess I'll hire an excavator. A box scraper might be a better idea. My thought is to scrape the soil off an inch or two at a time, not to dig in the true sense of the word. Because there will be an excavator on the property in a month or six weeks to put in a gravel driveway, I'm not concerned about making a big mess; it can be cleaned up later. Likewise, I can leave the soil in a pile next to the barn and "lose it" in the regrading of the property after the house is built.

If the goal is to reduce wear on the side plates I think it would be easier to add some angle iron to increase the surface area. Bolting lengths of angle on instead of welding would make changing them easier if they wear down. If you just want to add weight I don't think a couple of plates that small will make much difference in the greater scheme of things.

As Harvey mentioned, we use a hand-held weed sprayer full of vegetable oil on all the dump boxes, especially if they're going to be doing topsoil or parked for a while.

As for the colour scheme, I think you see a lot of white trucks with black bodies because it's a good looking combination that is easy to do and maintain.

Many years ago I worked for GMAC and altho the tractor is not titled,if it were me I would certainly contact JD Credit first. Either get their OK or you could give him two checks, one made payable to JD Credit for the amount he owes and the other one to him.

But I believe that as long as it pertains to the content of the area..it should be ok.
Now if several started posting of anything NOT even associated with tractors in any way..THAT should not be allowed here.
If I had dealt with you on a tractor and was pleased..trust me, I would be posting to others about your business and take the time to see it for themselves..

Seems like I recall hearing recently that some plastic water feed is failure prone and insurance companies weren't covering its use. I can't recall if it was due to chlorinating or not. Perhaps that was only one type and it has since been withdrawn from the market. It sure is easier than copper to work with though. A pressure tank and a backup generator for the pump etc. sure sounds easier than a water tower.

A thousand gallons storage sound like what is required for some commercial buildings that are outside of fire service areas around here so maybe that was the idea. I've thought about a 1,000 gray water storage tank for both fire protection and waste heat recovery myself.

Yep, that was not the best way to make a great impression on me. I was wondering if it could have caused more damage also. Today is the first day I'll get a chance to try out the mower since that happened. While I was waiting for someone to show me the proper way to re-install the piece I went ahead and mowed the yard with the old riding mower. I was afraid I wouldn't get it done otherwise.

The experience that I have had with my BX23 has been very favorable. It will do the tasks that you describe. While I have not yet moved the type of stone you mention, my FEL has moved soil and much larger stone very well. The backhoe, while small, will dig even in strong, heavy soil. I suggest that you try the BX23 for yourself by asking your dealer for some trial work at the dealership. Although it will likely be anything like the stone you wish to use for the drive, I am sure that you will be able to get a sense for what the BX23 can do. Remember that to scoop up a bucket of any material, the pile serves as the backing for your bucket load. The method you use will make a difference.

If you go with the BX23 with the MMM, I am sure that you will not be disappointed. Good luck. Please keep us informed on your deliberations.

That tractor dose not have a clutch. The reverse syncro went out.

Well that is the way it is they will not out right tell you they will not wok on it but they will blow you off. We however will work on other dealers sales but we do not do it with the urgency we do like our customers. I know Tarheel sponsors this site but I do not agree with there business practices. They sell there tractors on e-bay yeah that is fine but if you live 500 mi away who is going to service your unit do the campaign work. Call them and I know your going to get hammered with an outrageous bill for a road call. Nh will only pay $50 for travel time. Plus how would you even know about some of the work that is required or as needed that NH calls for. If your lucky you might get a letter stating what needs to be done but then what. What is a sale with out service after the sale? A HUGE HEADACHE!!! But hey maybe you might get lucky and get a unit that will never need any repairs LOL.

i have e222 also i was lucky mine had a nissan oil filter on it they cross reference it to a purolator L30042 they also told me it had komatsu motor in it not sure on motor but that is the filter im useing now it is a good fit just a little bit longer

Just remembered, I think the tiller was in the $1500 to $1600 area which puts the tractor loader somewhere around $18,000 to $18,500 I think.
But like I said, I will try to remember to ask because my figures could be off a little.
He did mow my yard for me yesterday with it because my tractor has been tied up digging utility lines for a new house and I couldn't get to the mowing.

YEs it was left outside,and there is small tear in the shifter boot cover from horses!

SO i suppose this is my problem, it would also explain the weak loader performance. How do I know when it is full enough though?

If you would consider a premium trailer, check out Bri-Mar. Every edge is welded, and the whole trailer powdercoated. I picked mine up at the plant and was given a tour while I was there. I was in the Fab buisness for 30 years, and Im hard to impress, but these guys did it.They also built it with out a wheel stop, as I wanted to build my own design incorporating a winch,bucket rest, tool box , and fuel tank.I also added aluminum step plates all around the deck.I bought the 14000lb hydraulic,it was $5200.

As soon as my building permit is approved I will be adding a 12x32 runout shelter to an existing barn. I was told to dig down 12"-18" and put stone, gravel, and stonedust, in that order. I know an excavator can do the work in a matter of hours. I have a Kubota 7510 and LA 302 loader. Any thoughts on whether or not I can do this myself? I don't mind taking longer to save money, but if it's going to take days rather than hours it might not be worth it. Any thoughts? Suggestions?
