I have a TC33D with a 72" MMM side discharge. With the side chute attached the grass will windrow. Without the chute it spreads the grass out evenly.

Does it have a loader and if so does it work normally? If it's a used tractor and you don't know the maintenance history, I'd change all fluids and filters, and clean and screens on general principal. If it does have a loader I'd jiggle the loader valves to ensure they're centered. On most tractors the 3ph won't lift when a loader valve is active. If a loader valve is 'feathered' you may not notice that the loader is creeping at low rpm. My used tractor did that a time or two until I changed the hydraulic oil and filter.

After this easy stuff there are some specific things to check if it's still not working.

I abused my 2185 too much dragging trees from an area I'm clearing and ripped some of the bolts from the the rearend housing. Is there such a thing as a Cub Cadet junkyard from which I could find a replacement?

I moved up to the 4115 from the 2210. I have used if for moving snow, (54" front blade), blow snow, (Two stage snow blower), moving 1" stone & topsoil (53" loader), grading topsoil (5' rear blade), mowing heavy grass (60" MMM & 4' rotary cuter). It has 22 hours on it now and has worked great for all of this. I agree with the HP though be nice to have maybe 3 to 5 more, I think it has 1 hp more then the 2210, but so far has more then met my needs. I have also noticed very little if any talk about poblems with the 4115 on any of the tractor sites. Don't know if there are not that many out there compared with other models or problems are not posted or it is that good of a tractor. I guess time will tell.

Also ensure that there isn't excessive clutch petal free play. I think these are TX driven PTO's. come to a full stop and if the engine has been at high rpm, wait a bit before engaging the pto to give the TX input shaft a chance to spin down.

Thes aren't sophisticated gears and they will clash a bit or simply not engage. A little tap from the clutch or moving the tractor can change the gear positions so it'll engage easier.

The newer three point sickle bar mowers have an option for a hydraulic lift which allows you to make adjustments for height for varing contours other then lifting the three point. They come in bar lengths down to 5'. Another option if youwish to keep it short might be the Husquvarna hover trimmer. But that would also be as timely as the the string trimmers or close it just gives a better look.

I bought the cheaper Northern Tool wagaon about three years ago. Yes, it is cheaper but the quality reflect the lower price. The tie rod linkage is rather sloppy so backing up the wagaon is more difficult as it tends to wander too much. The tires are smaller on the Northern wagon and even though they rate it at 2200# I doubt it would carry it. I probably put half of that in some dry pine firewood and bent the tie rod when I made a turn.

If you are looking for a real inexpensive unit to be used more as a lawn cart I think they work fine. But if your goal is some heavy duty use the Kory wagon is much superior in my opinion

Does anyone know the gas mileage of the 3/4 ton with 5.7 hemi and high gearing? I'd love to go for the diesel but the five grand option is a little steep for me.

I got to bring the JD 5205 home today YIPPEE!!! It's been a long couple of weeks waiting. The old 790 was great but after riding around on the 5205 some today it really made the 790 feel like a small riding mower.(not cuttin the 790 down any)I'm just proud to have a real tractor now. I'm going to have to add some new pics now, (probley tommarow)

I've given up on the well rower idea (at least for now :)) as it appears to be impractical for what I was wanting to do.

However, I'm having a hard time finding info on exactly how a well, well pump, pressure pump, storage tank, and bladder tank ahould be preoperly pumbed and wired.

Next time I go up there, I want to take all the materials I need with me to rip out all the PVC, and redo it properly in copper, with ball valves instead of gaste valves, and everything properly wired so that it all works properly and provides consistent pressure (at least long enough to get through a shower without it ending in noithing but air coming out of the nozzel ! ). There must be some diagrams/flow charts out there on the web somewhere descriubing some ideal setups.

I'm tired of trying to deal with all the hodge podge of band aids/emergency fixes, temporary upgrades/add ons, and leaking PVC joints that my dad had let the system turn into.

I can't believe he was satisfied with the way it is now.

Can anyone point me in the right direction to set things up so that I can redo the thing right once and for all and put this issue behind me?

I do have some pictures of how it is now if that becomes important to the discussion.

I'm fairly new to this site, I bought a JD 4310 w/e-reverser transmition about 4 months ago and now have 90 hrs on it. <br>
My question is, it seems like it has gotten harder to shift over the last couple weeks. When I shift (1-4 not A-C) some times i have a heck of a time getting the gear to go in. Is there a way to adjust the clutch to dis-engage it more? I see a Electronic switch that is engaged when the clutch is pushed in but i don't see a "cable" like im use to. OR shiuld i just call the dealer and wait till he is in the area (dealer is about 100 mi. away and when he gets a couple people in the area he comes down for service.). Also is this common? I know on a traditional cluth cable its common to streach.<br>
