I plan on getting a box scraper anyway. Do you think box scraper could hold enough ballast (dirt) to counter the loaded FEL?

Flexpoint does not carry bushings. They can be purchased at John Deere as stated.

Forget the Krapbota...I visited a place that had a brand new John Deere 4310 for 12,500....this is cheaper than the B2910 I purchased and a whole hell of a lot more tractor...you should look at the John Deere it is so much easier to drive..the loader itself is worth it...would make using your tractor an enjoyment not a chore...good luck...no I am not a dealer just an unhappy kubota purchaser.

I prefer the Squealer but that is only rated for the same 1" stock. I doubt that if you clear it to begin with that you will have any trouble with other then the deck maybe getting bent which can easily be straightened or patched. The heavier mowers do use bigger gear boxes and do weigh more then your chosen model but don't worry about it.

The 2210, with it's smaller wheels is closer to the ground and therefore more stable. if you land isn't too lumpy,you could get along ok with smaller wheels.

The issue is not so much how steep the slope is but how can you work the slope without driving across it. With a bit of common sense it can be safe to work slopes but you may have to back up (go up in reverse) the slope and do the work coming back down.

When I use a box scraper on my steep driveway, I have to do all the heavy work going downhill. Not a big deal, just adds time to the job.

I have watched D-9 and larger Cats building roads in Alaska where the terrain was so steep that the Cats had to use a winch to pull up the slope in reverse so they could work coming back down.

In Central Indiana, a 2210, 62" mower deck, and 210 loader sells between 12.7-13K. A tiller would add $1400-$1700.

As a posted, I have the economy 2910, which is the 7800. What I didn't say is that I have spent a considerable amout of $s adding 2910 features to my 7800. The seat, body panels, 3-point, ..and soon the headlights will be 2910 parts. There are a few features that would require major surgery, position control and cruise, that would't be at all practical. Get the 2910, it makes more sense.

But the way, I really enjoy my "7810". It's a great machine.

I didn't check the numbers but on the left fender there is a range selector (high,neutral.low), on the left of the steering column is the forward, neutral. reverse lever you spoke of and on the right of the steering column is the gear selector (1, 2, 3, 4) so it must be the "GST".
And did you say this can be shifted without the clutch? This would be good because one of my concerns was that I was shifting forward/reverse with no clutch the same as I would with my Case 350 crawler which has a what Case calls a Power Shuttle transmission.
Thought I might have busted something.

Thanks. Now I can see your message. I only put less than a quart in it to top off the tank. Looking back at the level it says to maintain (5or 6 inches below the neck) would be a quart at most. Appears there is maybe 4 qts in there? so it was just dilluted a little. Metal pumps - great! Am I right to assume that hoses and seals made for oil are still fine against gas? (petrolium based material) Also I wasn't towing or plowing. Pretty much running at one speed. Didn't notice any metal flakes but ... Knowing it was mixed in with oil probably sounds a lot better than filling it all with gas though.....<br>

For fun I looked up some mid 80s 855s that were listed for sale. Some were advertised as 19hp, some were 24hp, and one was 28hp. Probably the only way to tell for sure is to get the engine model and serial numbers and email JD and/or Yanmar to see what they say. You could also ask the dealer for documentation to show the hp rating of the tractor. Machinerylink is far from 100% accurate.

As far as your needs, how much of your 26 acres do you have to mow, is it finish or brush mowing, and how big are these rocks you want to dig up?

When Kubota added a backhoe to the BX they also added 220 pounds of reinforced steel framework to the tractor to keep the backhoe from tearing the machine apart.

The BX 23 is a different machine than the BX 2230 and you cannot add the backhoe to the BX2230.

There-in lies the problem. If you are starting with a clean sheet you can design the extra strength into the machine without compromising other components such as a mid mount mower or the FEL.

When you add the necessary sub-frame for an aftermarket hoe to an existing design it gets in the way of all sorts of other functions.

That said.. there is still a place to contact: The link below is to Kwik Way. They don't list the 2210 on their web site but you can call and see what they might be working on.

I'm not familiar with that tiller. You mention it is about half way up the chain case. That sounds like a filler plug or oil overflow. If it had a square head on it, it was a pipe plug usually a 3/8 or 1/2 pipe. Your dealer should have them or your local hardware. If the head was round and had two posts coming out for hand tightening with a nylon washer underneath your JD dealer should have been able to find something as well The kind that is brass with a hex head are also quite common. If you go to your local hardware that sells lawn equipment, they should be able to cross something over. Best would be to take the tiller with you.
