Just had to say how great it is to have my new BX2230<br>
was delivered last saturday! I've looked at all of them<br>
Massey,New Holland, Deere and just kept coming back to the <br>
Orange! After 6 months of looking my wife said....Just go and get it!!!!!!!! Now if it will just quit raining!!

Mike: A 1914 with FEL and 5ft mower (2002)with 180hrs sold at auction for $10,800.00. I have no idea whether thats high or not but some at the sale thought that it was. Also I agree with DRankin on the brush hog for all around good performance the 4ft is best. Kioti USA is now in a new facility at Wake N.C. and you can get parts from there by UPS etc. if you don't have a dealer.

Murf; thanks for the info on the frost hook. I looked the small bucket over today and looks like it would'nt be a real big job to fabricate a hook. Thanks. Frank.

The clutch is in front of propeller shaft and the pto shaft. When the clutch is not engaged, both shafts are isolated from the flywheel, so there is no power to either the hydro or the pto. Since there are two front shafts off the clutch, the pto is independent of the propeller shaft, and live off the clutch shaft.

Did you look at the Mahindra 2810? Besides not having HST, it seems comparable. However, I do see that the 2615 has higher lift (2205 vs 2075) and greater hydraulic flow (7.8 vs 5.88). I've not done any serious price comparing. Your comments please?<br>

I'm buying a new B7800 this week - delivery by Friday. The dealer stocks Bushhog implements and is suggesting an RZ-60 rear mower. I'll be using this on 4-6 acres of hilly horse pasture and some overgrown areas nearby. I've already cleared out the big rocks in the pastures but if I work into the adjacent overgrown areas I'll face shrubs, blackberries, and small trees (alder and fir). <br>

I don't expect to actually clear new pasture myself - we'd need really big equipment to pull stumps like we did for the first 4 acres. <br>

Is this a reasonable choice for a field mower? <br>

In answer to your question, yes, your Flexpoint is compatible with the John Deere I.Match.<br>
The only requirement is the installation of the John Deere<br>
IMatch Bushing Kit over the two lift arm pins of your Flexpoint. <br>

They are based in Brisbane, Australia. They are importing the EuroLeopard tractors. These guys are also providing warranty and parts backup.

The oil plug on my JD 450 has been lost. It's located on the leading edge of the chain case about halfway up. My dealer doesn't show this part at all, and I looked on the Deere parts web site - not shown there either. Does anyone know the part number for this plug or what I could use to replace it with?<br>

Thanks for the offer Dutch. I may not need your old info. A dealer sent me this today: "The main gear shift lever on the LK3054XS has been moved to the steering column so that it is by your left hand. The front axle is heavier built on the LK3054XS making the tractor great for loader work. The shuttle shift lever (by the seat to your left) makes it quick and easy to change between forward and reverse, which is handy for loader work. The shuttle shift lever is in the same position on both the LK3054XS and LK3054."

Seems the differences make it worth looking very hard at the XS. What comments do you have about your 3054? Have you heard or seen any comparrison with the Century 2028 or Mahindra 2810? Is the Rhino loader better than the Kioti? I read very good comments about the Century C50 loader.

I am very new to all his, but I have a Tc-45 (~40 HP) and I'm looking for a backhoe attachment. Im basically looking for all the information I can get on them. I saw a nice Kelly (no part #) one for $5,500 but I really wanted to look around more. Where is a good place to get advice on these things, and are there good online dealers or should I only look locally?<br>

The belt and ROPS did their jobs and I wasn't injured. The tractor wasn't even scratched, but the battery did have to be replaced because a cap came off and the acid leaked out of one cell. A tiltmeter wouldn't have helped because the soil collapsed suddenly under the left side which caused the rollover.

I like my 790 so far after right at 50 hrs on it. To mow I always remove the bucket only and leave the arms on the tractor. Only have to pull 2 hitch pins and tilt foward to remove the bucket. This gives me a much shorter turning radius. It also pulls a 6ft finish mower with no problem. Clutching using the loader is a little bit of a pain. My left knee will bother me after a while. (To much driving fork truck in early years) Don't hurt to get off and walk around a little anyway. You need to drive one and try First and Reverse in high range(They are directly across from each other so they work well together). This is what I use 95% of the time when using the loader, then if I have a ways to travel and it is smooth enough may shift on the fly into 2 gear (high range). Low range is to slow in reverse to do almost any loader work.I do most of my mowing in high range(5 th & 6 th gears) with 6 ft finish mower and 5 ft rotary mower. Field to rough to stay on the tractor above that. Go drive one, one of the local dealers had a sand pile to play with and that helps. be sure to let us know what you get. hope this helps.

I have 6-8 acre field that I recovered from an old runoff terrain with gulleys and washouts. It needs patching in the spring and fall to fill in spots that settle or erode. I move in dirt from the adjacent hillsides, then try to smooth and prep for grass planting. But nothing works the way I want it to.<br>
Tried a pulverizer, moldboard plow, 2 row cultivator, rigid drags, landscape rake, and flex harrow. All with mixed results. Biggest problem is that the soil is heavy clay or loam, and tends to compact if it's driven over into impermeable/dense hardpack that won't allow seed to take.<br>
I recently stumbled on a "rotary harrow" that looks to have potential, and have been thinking of trading in my rake. <br>
Cost is $600-800. 6ft diameter. Have you any experience with this type of implement ???<br>
What does the TR3 Rake cost? Does it come in different widths?<br>

Frank, I agree with Tim. Sometimes you might have to let the clutch out a little to get the gears to mesh. I have had to do the same thing to put it in gear sometimes.
