Actually Mark brings up a good point, splitting power being a function of the pressure applied to the cylinder, maximum force is at a stated pressure.

In this case Northern says it is 2500 psi, if your machine makes only 2100 psi, or 84% of that, then it will only develop 84% of the stated splitting force also. That would reduce the 15.7 tons to about 13.2 tons.

I don't think it will be a problem regardles.

You shouldn't have to move the tractor to engage the rear PTO but you might have to slowly let the clutch out just partially while holding slight pressure on the PTO lever to get the gears aligned and then she'll slide right in. My.02 worth.

$275 is not bad for a new 9" bucket. As far as 410 loader cost, no idea what MSRP is but here's a site that sells them for $2240 which is probably less than retail.

Yep the 4210 I used had R4 7-12's. The 4310 has 7-14's which are way better. 7-14 R1's should keep you out of trouble whether Oregon clay or West Virginia ?? whatever you have there.

If the 4200 is the same as a 4210 (I suspect it is but am NOT sure) that is the only rockshaft lift adjustment available. Rockshaft position sensing is done by a second spool internal to the rockshaft control valve assembly. It may be time to call the dealer.

Machinerylinks prices do seem high, but I think they are dealer asking prices and not actual sale prices. Actual sale prices may be 5-10% lower than what they show. In addition to Billy's insights another factor is the brand of loader and backhoe (are they both JD?).

I suspect there are some types of brush that would over-tax the horsepower available with the 1914 and a 5 foot brush cutter. <br>

Most tractors in this HP range are recommended to use a 4 foot brush cutter.

Make sure you drive a 790 with a loader installed before you commit.

It has a very compact operator area. Too small for me.

I have a 36" rototiller for my 712H AC (from 1977). The tractor manual has 3 pages with tiller photos showing the belt, although they are not that great. If he doesn't have it going yet, I can copy and mail the pages. It's easy enough to install when you know how it works.

Here is the info you need on the Prairie Dog buckets:
Pin diameter: 0.995", pin spacing: 7", dipper stick end width: 4.25". Weight is 58 lb for the 8" bucket. It can be UPSed, with bucket teeth romoved. It is also available without the brackets welded on. It is a nicely-made bucket,
lacking only a drain hole.

I can have it drop-shipped to you for the $275 + shipping if you have not already found a source.

In early May '04 I made an offer on a B7100, 60"MMM, HST, 4x4, with 1150 hours. It was a 1992, which is the first year Kubota re-introducted the B7100. I would have paid $4500 but he decided not to sell. I found a '93 with 800 hours I could have gotten for about $4200, but after talking to the previous owner (tractor was at a NH dealer) I didn't buy it. Found another one with 700 hours for $5700, but didn't check it out. The price range of B7100's went from a low of $3500 to a high of $6500. All had HST, 4x4, 60"MMM.
I found the prices all over the place, all of these where located in Kentucky. I ended up springing for a new NH TZ24DA at $10,500. Hopes this helps.

Had the same problem, clutch would not engage. Tried jumping it directly to the battery. It made a funny noise on the first try, and then seemed to work perfectly. Now I have a $260 clutch I ordered and nowhere for it to go.

I just got my TC33 over a week ago now and I'm feeling better and better about the decision. I looked at the Kubota's and the JD's. My thought was the B7800 platform was smaller than the NH but the move up to the L3130 was too much tractor for the HP range ie the HP to size/weight ratio would have been too much. The JD's were just too pricey for the what they were offering IMHO.

So after those considerations I decided on the TC33 for the extra HP. I purposefully didn't want the SS option because the dealer said that you could get into trouble if you were doing alot of FEL work with it. Meaning the sharper turn radius with a heavy and elevated load could flip the tractor. I'm also going to be doing bush-hogging and not mowing so the sharper turning radius didn't factor in as greatly. Not sure how accurate that is but I didn't feel that SS was buying me much. I think the turn radius on the HST is pretty darn good by itself. So you can save some $$ by leaving SS off. Maybe that will make the TC33 more affordable.

Now that it's done and the decision making stress is over I can enjoy it and I feel that for me it was the correct decision. Good luck...

The new numbers (once all the Twenty series compacts are out) will make more sense - especially in the context of the whole Deere tractor line.

2x20 series - small compacts
3x20 series - medium compacts
4x20 series - large compacts
5x20 series - small ag utility
6x20 series - medium ag utilty...

etc.,.

Frank, I agre with your comments, but, the info. I have says my PTO is all gear driven.

If so there must be a clutch somewhere in there.
