I went to Kelley Blue Book on-line (kbb.com) and made some guesses on the equipment package and got the following "private party price":

I had two of the V-6's in question. One (a 93 4x4 pick-up)suffered a head gasket related cylinder failure that Toyota refused to cover under the extended warranty despite a recall on the head-gaskets. The other (a 94 Winnebago motorhome) ran like a top and worked like a mule.

I distinctly remember the sales guy pulling off the side panel to reenable the fuel shut-off valve so I could test drive the tractor. Maybe I'm confused on the model but I could have sworn it was a 3430.

I here ya on walkin some bad streets. Funny though how one shepard brought into a situation changes the attitude of a fella that was going to KICK 3-4 of our butts a minuit earlier.
I am petrified of anything that sworms and has a stinger. I can handle snakes (I see you can too)!
I will be on the tractor next weekend (shivering with fear) I have to cut anouther field and get it turned over.
I busted into a ground hornets nest last year while rototiling but was in a air conditioned cab of a skid steer
They were quite mad, and I would hate to see what would of happened if I was on the New Holland open to the elements.

I dont remember where, but Ive heard talk of extension booms for backhoes,so as to increase the reach.Ive started on my ditch project, and find the backhoe coming up a couple feet short all the time. The tractor is a NH tc35d, with the NH backhoe.

Of all the silly things I have spent time on this one (in hind sight) ranks right up there! I just spent around 10 min. writing down numbers and thinking. 39yrs old and 64cyl. I even stooped down to including the sewage pumps
and weed wacker. Makes you think? How the heck did we exist 20 years ago with only a 12 pack a V65 and a

The Kubota would exceed all but the 930 for brute power but would be very equal for pull.. The Kubota would be far easier to learn and is an excellent tractor.

Most all loaders have a float position in the down position. In that case it is used for purposes like back grading with the bucket.

Yes, it's a sealed one piece cap that vents through a tube. My JD dealer supplied it, not sure if NH has something similar. The best solution IMHO is a sealed AGM (optima type) battery, but I have found none that will fit on my machine. Not sure about the NH battery sizes.

The attachment compatibility list on JD's website shows that either the pull-type or semi-mount mx8 will work on the 4710.

Never heard of a Hudson but my parents had a mower with a cast aluminim deck in the mid 50's that looked remarkably like yours called a "Cooper Cyclo Mower". I still have their Simplicity walk behind garden tractor complete with sickle mower and a pull behind cultivator. I've allways said someday I'm going to get it cleaned up, painted and all that good stuff them it will probably sit in a shed till the kids have the auction. Lot of memories with that cussed old thing. Frank.

Last year I bought a Cub Cadet 2185, I think it's about a 1994 model, with a 48' deck. Nowhere can I find a bagger for this tractor with this size deck. Has anyone ever modified another bagger to fit this tractor and deck? I don't know what the difference that other baggers won't fit it. Thanks in advance for any responses.

palusjoshua; I got the canpopies early this spring so never had them in them snow. I really like them for sun protection and occasionly rain protection. I got them from Deere, the noise level did increase over a non canopy tractor so it was a simple matter to put a sheet of one inch cab foam on the under side to solve that problem. Frank.

Do any of you Blue fans want to offer comments on the TC29 vs the TC30, assuming both have FEL and hydro? Also any comments on the new TC29s vs last years models and FELs?<br>

I'm shopping for a first tractor and I've now test driven a TC30 (manual) and a TC29D (hydro). The TC30 is available with hydro but none were on the lot to test out. I've also looked at Kubota B7800 and JD-4210, and found at least one local dealer that I like for each brand. <br>

My use is for a horse property with 4 acres of often hilly pasture and 2-3 more acres that could be cleared later. I also have to maintain 1/2 mile of gravel road and driveway, install fence posts etc. Additional acreage is wetlands and buffer zones.<br>

Last year I rented a Cub Cadet (25-30 hp model, don't remember which) to plow and seed the pastures with some help from a Cat D3B dozer, so I have some experience with tractors on my particular property. Some of the steep slopes are really steep and we have some odd corners, so I care about stability and maneuvering. Bad knees dictate hydro over a clutch, and being 5'5" makes cockpit layout important. <br>

My opinion so far is JD is the most expensive and has the largest turning radius, as well as cool features due to the e-Hydro that I may or may not really need. Ergonomically I like the TC30 seat but the TC-29 has an adjustable steering wheel. My dealer offered to swap the TC30 seat into a TC29 for me, and that might be the best solution but I have not actually tried it yet. The Kubota cockpit seemed to fit me the best and the frame is lower to the ground so I presume it is more stable on slopes. <br>

The B7800 and TC30 prices are very close, the TC29 was a bit more, the JD a bit more. <br>

My NH dealer also has some slightly used TC30s (50-100 hours) that are 20-30% less expensive than a new one, but alas none with hydro.<br>
