HELP!A rat chewed my wiring harness and I need to remove the steering wheel to repair it How do you get it off? I see no holes for a steering wheel puller.

The 110 is pretty powerful, both loader and hoe. They did a good job designing it. It drives like a skid steer, very fast and agile. Alot of times I can turn it by sliding the front end sideways when going in reverse and then hit forward while in a turn. It sure does alot of work in a day. Put in 7 hrs today, looks like I'm working tomorrow too. I got rear foot controll hydraulics because I put on a thumb and might get a hammer $8500.00 ouch, quick release hoe bucket, and a skid steer quick disconect hd front bucket. Only thing I wish I got and recomend is front hydraulics run through the joy stick with a switch to run front or rear implements with the stick, say a angle on a blade or a sweeper on front. It all adds up though, near $50,000.00 just for what I got.

The more information you provide the more detailed the estimate. I believe that tractor you are asking about was made between 1985 and 1991. I guess $5500, plus or minus a 1000.

SEEMS LIKE POOR DESIGN. ON THE LEVEL IN HIGH RANGE ,THE TRACTOR SHOULD GO FROM NOTHING TO ITS FULL SPEED DEPENDING ON THE HYDRO PEDAL. WEIGHT AND POWER OF THE TRACTOR SHOULD BE CONSIDERED BY THE "ENGINEEERS". IF MY ONLY CHOICE IS FULL SPEED OR STALLING, ITS GOING TO BE DANGEROUS TRANSPORTING ON THE ROAD. are you sure the hydraulics work off the Transmission fluid, I have a long and mine works off the fluid in the rear axle

I am in the final stages of purchasing an L3130. I plan to use a 6' LandPride rear finish mower. I have a 4' LandPride RFM now that I have used for years. Keep the blades sharp and the quality of cut is excellent. That is one of the delays, the pricing on trading the current RFM. I expect to be able to mow close enough to the buildings and plantings that I can finish with a weedeater or the DR Trimmer/Mower. I am setting the L3130 up so I can do 90-95% of my work from the tractor seat. An L3130 with a FA723 loader with Quick Attach, pallet forks for the loader plus a grapple kit and tooth bar. I am convinced that it will do everything I plan on.

That's sort of what I was thinking. The fact that a chipper jam caused the tractor to stall indicates that the chipper won't tear itself apart so something else has to give. Maybe that something else would be expensive to fix. Which brings me back to my original question, how can I add a shear bolt to the pto driveline? I know you can buy add-on slip clutches but this situation shouldn't happen very often so a cheap fix is appealing.

Using Delvac 1300 Super 15-30 in the Dodge Cummins HO truck engine, one diesel car and wanted to know if it was suitable for use in the JD 2355 MFWD tractor and the Kubota B8200 diesel. Had been using straight 30 weight but it is a bit thick in winter last year. I was told this 15-40 oil was suitable for year round use, but would strip a good deal of material off the piston and various surfaces, but after an early oil change, it would be fine. There are only about 300 hours on the 2355 and about 600 hours on the Kubota B8200. Basically would like to use this oil for both diesel trucks, one diesel car and both tractors and get it in 55-gallon drums.

It seems a strange thing to be telling most customers--especially those who don't have repair manuals. I really don't think I'd try this without a manual. I'd also be aware that some drives may have parts that could come off the end of the shaft and drop into the cases.

If the tractor has HST the drive may be simpler than ones used with the gear TX's for which I have manuals. There is no procedure in my manuals for the removal and inspection of the output shaft separate from general overhaul procedures. However, it does look possible from my parts diagrams. Most PTO output shafts would have a snap ring immediately behind the oil seal as well as several other interior snap rings and retaining rings. Assuming the service manager knows a procedure, it almost certainly would require the removal of at least an outer snap ring. I can't tell from my parts diagrams if removal of interior snap rings would be necessary and if so whether they'd be accessible.

Let's assume that the service manager knows his tractors but maybe should have told you more detail or maybe not made the suggestion at all. He'd probably tell you if you need a new gasket.

If anyone is still reading this thread here is the follow up. $146.51 , 100 for pickup and rtn mileage. 35 for labor and 10 for some tranny fluid. Everything works. Hose actually looks new as does clamp. Thanks for all the input, it really does help.

I like the analogy -- my parents never had AC in their cars, so I didn't either until I got married -- and I cannot imagine not having it now! Every dollar I spend on a mower is a dollar less for a tractor and implements -- but I do feel the need to look at and for a mower with hydro.

And in terms of buying a mower that has been used commercially, I'm hoping to find one that was used by a reputable, local firm. It seems that if someone is making a living off his mower, he ought to be maintaining it on a regular basis. And buying from a dealer will make me feel better, as at least the dealer will have gone through the machine and is willing to stand by it for at least 30 days. Because I am not that mechanically inclined I am not too comfortable buying used equipment from a stranger. I've seen how some of my friends maintain things(or don't, as the case may be)...

Here is what happens to mine. The left rear arm for the 3 point controls the mower deck raising up and down. With your knob in the install position, lower your 3 pt. all the way down, from the right side of your tractor, raise it back up while pushing out on the left arm of your 3 pt. with your left leg (This is like twister). As it raises up you will see that the arm catches a mechanisim which is connected to an 18" long bar that is threaded on both ends (it is on the left side of your tractor just inside the rear wheel. That will allow the deck to go up. Now that it is all the way up, you will be able to set the height that you want on the knob. This is the only time that you can adjust the height. Attempting to do so while deck is not all the way up, will only lead to headaches, and a broken plastic knob. To avoid using this twister method, you can stick a bar across the lower arms and be done. Hope this helps

A lot of it depends on what you need the tractor for at your new house. If you're just mowing a small suburban lot then a dedicated mower may be better suited to your needs.

Don't forget the old orange versus the new orange. Sometime in the 90s Kubota changed the formula.
My old orange has faded so much since 1989 that there is
no way to match, unless I buffed and waxed the old paint.
It IS a tractor, so I am not gonna do that.....
