You have to buy that at the dealer. I had to replace mine a few years back, which I attempted in vane to find a manufacturer that made a similar replacement. None are available. The spline diameter & mounting are standard, but the spline length and support bearing race on the shaft is special to Case. So be prepared to dig deep.

I just did an Intenet search for Exmark -- the nearest dealer is about 40 minutes away. As a firm believer in dealer support, I would lean toward buying a different brand from a dealer that is closer by. Anyone else have thoughts on the Husqvarnas? Other local dealers carry Scag, Toro, Simplicity, Troy Built, Snapper, John Deere -- I'm sure there are others but I haven't looked to extensively yet. Thanks!

Congrats on the new machine, but remember in the tractor world, we don't use the word gas can with a diesel CUT, it now becomes fuel can. I'm taking it you got a diesel can (yellow). You must be very clear on that especially if your wife will use the machine. I would hate to see someone fill it up with gas instead of diesel.
I have the 7800 as well and it is a great machine and has surprised me more than once with its abilities.

How does a 7510 do with a 5' brush hog? I keep going back and forth between buying a 7800 and a 7510. I will have horses on roughly 5 acres and want to be able to brush hog fencelines, the occasional paddock, and a steep but small hill (maybe 1/2 acre total). Everything has been cut once or twice a year for the past 10 years, so it is mostly grass and small stuff. Any feedback would be appreciated.

I have been looking for a small used compact tractor. My first choice has been a Kubota B7100 HST. Yesterday, while at my local NH dealer getting parts for my 16 year old Ford lawn tractor, I took the opportunity to test drive the TZ24DA. This one was equipped with a 60" MMM and priced at $10.5K. This seems to be a better investment than $4K-$6K for a 12 year old B7100. My main use will be mowing 5 acres, some grading and snow removal, I plan to add a rear mounted tiller. Does anyone have any experience with this tractor, or its sister the TZ18DA? I realize this is the first year for this model. Thanks

Oneace once you get the hang of putting the hoe on and off it is easy. I can take it off in under 5 min and put it on in about 8 min.

4x6 size is fine. If too big or too hi-res, it can be shrunk. Can't go the other way. Thanks.

It's the rings. Yanmar makes a 1/4 mm and 1/2 mm overize
pistons. Expect them to be 67-88/ea, incl rings. I am
doing my 3rd 3TN84 rebuild now.

Thanks for the reply Oneace. I didn't realize the 84" MMM was a rear discharge. In my experience all of the rear discharge decks I've used leave a lot of clumps compared to the side discharge decks. Have you had the same experience? TIA, Stan Wilhite, Decatur AL.

I was not trying to be rude. But I have seen it happen before. Some home owner was turned in for cutting neighors lawns and lost everything. I was just letting him know what could happen. We don't like what we know as scabs taking our work. It happening around here way to much. But thats business. I don't turn people in. I rather buy them out. Its easyer. I have helped other kids to start their business. From how to get on the books to equipment, as long as they promise not to touch any of my accounts. My business is fully insured and all the books done right. (one customer of mine is an accountant he set them up for me 4 years ago, and double checks them for me) I am going to be a member of the local chamber of commerce shortly.

Yes I am young. I am only 18. 19 in 14 days. I don't do any the table work. Never did. I went and got it all started right at the begining. Had heard to many horria stories. I have bought a large amount of equipment from guys who ran under the table and when bottoms up.

As for the light bars. No takers, so I hadn't built any. But they were going to be part of the Equipment repair/welding divison of my business I have. I do maintance on equipment, welding, metal work, sandblasting, etc. I also subcontract a lot of my work to other companies. I do a lot of things. I am a workaholic. .

My dealer told me when I bought the tractor that he does not sell many vacumn units and did not always keep them in stock, he did not say anything about how hard they are to put on. He said they take a long time for his mechanic to put all of the pieces together and mount on the tractor the 1st time. He definetly was not pushing me to buy one, (That was all my idea)It was the only part of the deal he did not want to cut the price from list. He did say they work very well especially for leaves.
This is not as bad as my old setup on my Ford but it looked complicated with 4 bolts to line up while holding the weight at the same time. It never had a stand and it had it's own motor that you had to get off and start again each time you dumped the leaves. The Kuboto with PTO is so much better plus more power and much easier to put on and off.

If you are cutting more than 1/3 of the grass height you are cutting to much and letting grow too tall before cutting. Best not to cut more than 1/4 of the grass height. I get the same thing with my F525 if I let the grass go to long before cutting. Trying cutting it more often and cutting the top 25% off the top and see how your results are.

The 7800 has been a hit since it's introduction. It has hurt the 2910 sales to some degree. I wouldn't be holding my breath for the introduction of a replacement for the B-2910 but when they do introduce it, it will probably be as innovative as there past new models have been. Normally models run for five or so years before replacement in tractor land. Some will change in two or three when there are problems with the model run.

It has been a long time, and I don't even remember the brand name of the "rake", however somthing is sticking in my mind that it was not designed for sand, but cleaning up tall cut grass off of a field.

I assume you got a manual and want some easy to understand instructions.
Well here I go:
Drop the outriggers lightly, lay out the boom and put the bucket down on the ground lightly, pull the 2 pins at the rear of the subframe, pull forward about 10 inches, now bump the boom down to lower the front of the subframe several inches (to clear the hitch as you pull out), pop the hyd. lines and drive away. Should take about a minute to do.
You will learn others little personal tricks such as releiving pressure to ease reconnecting quicks etc. etc.

Yeah I know what you mean about quality Frank, you have to remeber LandPride is owned by Great Plains and they really made a name for them selves in the ag industry with their drills. I have know farmers who were very loyal to their color of equipment but when it came to drills those red tractor pulled green (Graet Plains green that is) drills.
