I cut grass for a living. Check out a eXmark metro. They are great machines. 48" belt drives go for $2600. I have a 32" model. Never had a problem with it. It get 1 to 5 hours a week worth of used, 35 weeks a year for 6 years now. I wouldn't get the snapper or husqvarna mowers. Just not the same quality of a eXmark, scag, bobcat,etc.

I just bought a sd2243 has no lift under load. no load lifts slow . can someone give me some input?

My dealer told me when I bought the tractor that he does not sell many vacumn units and did not always keep them in stock, he did not say anything about how hard they are to put on. He said they take a long time for his mechanic to put all of the pieces together and mount on the tractor the 1st time. He definetly was not pushing me to buy one, (That was all my idea)It was the only part of the deal he did not want to cut the price from list. He did say they work very well especially for leaves.
This is not as bad as my old setup on my Ford but it looked complicated with 4 bolts to line up while holding the weight at the same time. It never had a stand and it had it's own motor that you had to get off and start again each time you dumped the leaves. The Kuboto with PTO is so much better plus more power and much easier to put on and off.

If you are cutting more than 1/3 of the grass height you are cutting to much and letting grow too tall before cutting. Best not to cut more than 1/4 of the grass height. I get the same thing with my F525 if I let the grass go to long before cutting. Trying cutting it more often and cutting the top 25% off the top and see how your results are.

The 7800 has been a hit since it's introduction. It has hurt the 2910 sales to some degree. I wouldn't be holding my breath for the introduction of a replacement for the B-2910 but when they do introduce it, it will probably be as innovative as there past new models have been. Normally models run for five or so years before replacement in tractor land. Some will change in two or three when there are problems with the model run.

Hi ElGordo,
It has been a long time, and I don't even remember the brand name of the "rake", however somthing is sticking in my mind that it was not designed for sand, but cleaning up tall cut grass off of a field.

MIFARMIN.

IS that the 12 inch bucket or the 18. I should sell my 18 inch bucket, I got it brand new and I know I will never use it, about the time I sell it I will have a need for it and have to go out and buy another and end up paying double. I think I will keep a little while longer. Any hydro line leaking fittings? I think they got that problem fixed with all the complaining I did.

I assume you got a manual and want some easy to understand instructions.
Well here I go:
Drop the outriggers lightly, lay out the boom and put the bucket down on the ground lightly, pull the 2 pins at the rear of the subframe, pull forward about 10 inches, now bump the boom down to lower the front of the subframe several inches (to clear the hitch as you pull out), pop the hyd. lines and drive away. Should take about a minute to do.
You will learn others little personal tricks such as releiving pressure to ease reconnecting quicks etc. etc.

Yeah I know what you mean about quality Frank, you have to remeber LandPride is owned by Great Plains and they really made a name for them selves in the ag industry with their drills. I have know farmers who were very loyal to their color of equipment but when it came to drills those red tractor pulled green (Graet Plains green that is) drills.

Limpin, look at Antonio Carraro, the more you look and read the more you will be amazed and like. Articulated, hydraulic diff lock front and rear,reversable cockpit in a few seconds, big horse Detroit diesels,large wheels front and rear, so stable they will slide sideways before they will roll. Why did you buy from a dealer with no mechanic? That is a problem waiting to happen.

Was the dealer so naive as to think he would never have to fix anything. You should have forced him to fix yours instead of accepting one with a lower quality loader anyway. What did he do with the other tractors?

Or you sure he didn't make a quick profit and then decide not to honor his committments?

The new style Will grow on you. And the have the best vantage point on the seat than any tractor on the market now. The head lights are also the brightest. Just think how people of the 40s,50s, and so on would think of the cars of today. The New Holland tractors may look radical now but in a few years they will be the norm.

The New Holland TC35,40,and 45 all take the 84" mmm. IF you are doing "only" light mowing then the TC35 would do. But if you are cutting more than 3" off the grass then I would say the TC40 is the way to go. I do not know If Deere or Kubota Offer an 84" mmm on any of there tractors. Also New Hollands 84" mmm is rear discharge so no need to worry about a deflector getting in the way.

We have sold quite a few (more than 20) tz24 and tz 18 with mmm and fel with no problems. We actually sold the first 3 in the country. I don't know what might of happened but that dealer needs to properly train there drivers on the equipment it sells.

As far as hoes go Kubota is In my opinion the easiest to take on and off and are pretty sturdy. New Holland hoes are very tricky to get on but they are a good solid hoe and there are 4 sizes available 756,757,758,759 all dig as deep as there respective last digit. I am not familiar with JD so I will let the others explain those.
