CraigC; About the only piece of rear mount 3pt. Compact tractor equipment that I have that isn't Land pride is a JD MX5 rotary mower which is a top notch machine, but I've allways been impressed with the rugged reliability of Land pride and their excellent dealer network. They seem a bit pricey compared to Tractor Supply type machines, but like the energizer bunny they just run and run and run. Frank.

I agree in theroy it looks easy to install, I have gotten to the point I mow 2 or 3 times a week so I do not have to install the bagger.
The main problem is the Top pin and it needs 3 hands or a lot of luck.
As for the PTO I have found if I wait until everything else is finished ( including raising the supports) then I lay on my back under the bags and hook up the PTO it works very easy, I also tighen the "chains" that keep the lower arms from swinging at the same time from underneath. When I take it off, this is my 1st step to lay under it and remove PTO and lossen "Chains" Then I lower supports. If the system didn't work so well once it is on, I can't wait to try it on leaves this fall

Limpin, look at Antonio Carraro, the more you look and read the more you will be amazed and like. Articulated, hydraulic diff lock front and rear,reversable cockpit in a few seconds, big horse Detroit diesels,large wheels front and rear, so stable they will slide sideways before they will roll. What is your price range? Kubota makes a nice diesel TG series lawn mower. I think it is about $4,000. Art would be able to tell you more. They also make excellent zero turns. The most popular with us is the zd21 with a 60" deck. What size deck are you looking for. How much grass do you have to mow. The ZD mowers are pretty expensive.

I would have to say yes. All of the tractors that we sell in that rage that get a brush cutter get a 72". The trick is to manage your travel speed and listen to your engine and adjust your speed to it.

Why did you buy from a dealer with no mechanic? That is a problem waiting to happen.

Was the dealer so naive as to think he would never have to fix anything. You should have forced him to fix yours instead of accepting one with a lower quality loader anyway. What did he do with the other tractors?

Or you sure he didn't make a quick profit and then decide not to honor his committments?

The new style Will grow on you. And the have the best vantage point on the seat than any tractor on the market now. The head lights are also the brightest. Just think how people of the 40s,50s, and so on would think of the cars of today. The New Holland tractors may look radical now but in a few years they will be the norm.

The New Holland TC35,40,and 45 all take the 84" mmm. IF you are doing "only" light mowing then the TC35 would do. But if you are cutting more than 3" off the grass then I would say the TC40 is the way to go. I do not know If Deere or Kubota Offer an 84" mmm on any of there tractors. Also New Hollands 84" mmm is rear discharge so no need to worry about a deflector getting in the way.

We have sold quite a few (more than 20) tz24 and tz 18 with mmm and fel with no problems. We actually sold the first 3 in the country. I don't know what might of happened but that dealer needs to properly train there drivers on the equipment it sells.

As far as hoes go Kubota is In my opinion the easiest to take on and off and are pretty sturdy. New Holland hoes are very tricky to get on but they are a good solid hoe and there are 4 sizes available 756,757,758,759 all dig as deep as there respective last digit. I am not familiar with JD so I will let the others explain those.

If you are just going to be mowing with it you might want to consider going with a Kubota ZD28 with a 72" deck. But if you have other plans I would definitely go with some thing bigger. I would literally take days to mow 22 acres with a 60" deck. More details are needed about land use etc.

I contacted ATI regarding their Tatch-All coupler for attaching skidsteer implements to tractor loaders. They don't make a coupler for the JD410 loader because the additional weight would cut down too much on the loader performance. They suggested having a JD dealer weld JD410 attachment brackets to a tree digger/shovel to make it compatible with the JD410 loader. The shovels are available from several manufacturers such as SkidSteer Solutions, Bobcat, and DirtWorks to name a few. I'm checking with my JD dealer now. If anyone has welded JD410 loader-compatible brackets on skidsteer implements, I'd like to hear from you how it worked.

Arcenic is no longer used in pressure treated wood. Or at least it is not supposed to be. Lowe's and Home Depot both sell the product.

Chief, have the FS110R myself. California requires such due to emission standards. You would like it. Lots of power at low rpm especially nice when feathering throttle for landscape trimming. Very quiet. Not heavy enough to bother me. Also have chain saw attachment for light tree trimming and hedge attachment. Both work well. Like all Stihl equipment bulletproof and "wants" to start right up and run all day.
