My JD 755 when up to temperature is blowing a small amount of white smoke down a pipe that leads from the top of the engine casing and opens just at the end of the side panel covering the engine. It also seems to lose a little oil through it. I'm more qualified to operate on animals than engines. Does it need surgery????? If so how soon and what - any help appreciated as ever.

I recently talked with a guy that has a 2910 kubota that was told that the TPH top link bracket would not take the torque and shock from larger and heavier than 60 inch and 650# rototiller. I don't remember ever hearing of this I thought if the horsepower width/weight were in limits you were good to go. So how do you match them up?

Well I live just west of campus, about 5 or 6 miles. Do your remember where the Verhage Cider Farm is? I am right across the street from them. In the woods. Bewteen Stadium and Main, between 4th and 6th streets.

Def beautiful country out here. Away from everything, but within 10 minutes of where I would like to go.

If you haven't seen WMU lately, it has grown unreal in the last 5 or 6 years!

i am having the same problem.. i have a 2140 cub cadet and both inline fuses have blown and i replaced them both but the blades do not engage when i try to turn on..

Not an answer, but some comments. We have 15 acres of woods and I think for our needs a BX23 would be too small. It wouldn't have enough power to drive a large enough chipper for one thing, and I question it's ability to skid. On the other hand the smaller size would be more maneuverable in the woods and backhoe would sure come in handy for stumping. A lot of it depends on what sort of woods maintenance you need to do. For landscaping work it would probably be fine.

As Mark mentioned with the cost of fuel rising daily; don't be surprised if the cost is $1.50 per loaded mile or more. May not be such a good deal after you figure in shipping costs.

If you are absolutely certain you have good continuity on both ends of the system; I think Harvey and Tom are on the right track. It would surely have to be either a starter switch, relay, or a the starter/solenoid.

A REMOTE possibility is that the starter drive could be jammed on the flywheel and cannot turn which would exhibit the same symptoms as the zero voltage short you are now seeing but this would be a highly unlikely scenario. Try removing the starter and bench test it to confirm proper function.

This is NOT a plug for my dealer but call them and ask for Eddie or Jimmy in the service section. Their phone # is 1-800-726-7172. They are VERY good techs. and will help you out. (they have answered MANY questions for me) If it turns out that you need a part, at least consider buying the part from them and ask for Ricky in parts. He will give you the best price on parts you can get......at least that has been my experience. (I have purchased MANY from them) Tell them Randy sent you.

If anyone can help you out, I am sure these guys can. I am assuming that your local John Deere dealer has been of no help with the above offer.

Maybe some of the pros will chime in. From my experience dealing with the public, they usually want and need somebody to tell them what is right. Maybe you are just starting out with your business, but you still have a better idea of the correct way to approach it than the customer does. People appreciate straight answers.
It looks like it will be dry enough here today to finally disc and plant my garden, maybe today is dry enough for you, too. (If you don't mind working on Sunday).

While waiting for some feedback on a previous request (What would be a fair price on a g2160 with a 60"mmm?) I was wondering is it possible to get this unit with either ag or some sort of bar tire. The literature I have on it doesn't list that option.How 'bout it Mr Art White are these type of tires available and how would it affect the the total cost.<br>

It's a heated garage and slab on grade I guess. If the frost doesn't get too deep in your area and the soil perc rate is high then small diameter drain pipe to below frost might do the trick--the top would have to be sealed and the opening screened. The trouble would be that a small diameter pipe in low perc soil won't hold much before the drainage is up into the frost area and would then freeze. Of course in your area maybe it wouldn't freeze under a heated slab on grade. I'm not sure I'd drill if the slab has rebar and overall a squeegee sounds easier.

I notice the other day my throttel linkage was rubbing the engine side panels on my Yanmar1401D and there were sparks coming off it, so the other day I went out to try start my tractor and sparks jumped from my frame and now it will not turn start I took the ignition out and it fell apart in my have hands I had an other switch and hook it up but it do not have G1 and G 2 terminauls, so as you can see I have gone from bad to worest, today I`m going to replace my fuse and hope the I can found thr ight ignition switch and replace them, BUT! there still remains the problem WHY am I getting sparks, could it be a bad ground? I checked the harness and it all looks good with no bad spots??

Depends on the soil, drainage and traffic it'll carry. I'd check with neighbours to get an idea of what works. Could be as simple as removing the topsoil and bringing the grade up to surface plus crown with pit run.

Pit run with crowns plus mild ditching is what works around here for private drives except where the drainage is poor or grades steep enough to cause erosion. Two years ago I re-graded the slope to get more of the yard to drain down the drive to the highway and added another tandem load of pit run. I finally got my tractor work in gear after a wet spring and noticed that the drive is nicely compacted without dips and bumps. I don't think I'll touch it this year except some ditching cleaning. The drive does carry single axle truck traffic for oil delivery and the weight doesn't dint the compacted surface.

I could use some help getting on track to diagnosing a situation with the 18 h.p. Kohler engine on my model 1806. It seems to be temperamental and I have to run it with a little choke. Power is down somewhat. I am guessing that it is not getting enough fuel if I have to choke it. Any suggestions?

I'm on US62, which parallels the WK. Coming from the west, you're best off using WK exit 13 at Princeton. One mile south on KY293, then a left turn on E. Young St takes you two blocks to US62. I'm 8 miles east on 62.

If you're coming from the east, use exit 24 at Dawson Springs. Two miles south on KY109 then right on US62. I'm four miles west on 62. From whichever direction you arrive, the house number is 16507.
