Kubota sells a backhoe with a modified three point hook-up.

It uses a rigid 1 inch thick slab of steel as a backbone in place of the top link on the 3 point hitch.

If the B/H you are looking at is a Kubota hoe or it uses the same design, you should be OK.

It just doesn't make sense that the tach. works but not the hour meter. They run off the same cable. Thanks for your input.

Frank, don't get me wrong, if I were to buy again I'd probably opt for the adjustable top hook. The point I was making is that if everything is compatible you never have to get off the tractor to change implements (except for the pto shaft on some equipment).<br>

Pat's easy change system has a quick-connect on each lower link arm that will connect to about anything. You still have to get off to hook up the top link.<br>

FWIW, I've had two incompatible implements and an adjustable top hook wouldn't have solved the problem on either one. I'm sure there are many implements where an adjustment would help though.

The 4110 with an HST would be easier to use especially with the loader and the blower, and in my case, certainly more comfortable to operate.

The 4115 is a closer match to the 790 in terms of power and weight. I believe that both 4110 and 4115 have better/stronger hydraulic systems.

I consider the King Cutter as being low end. We also mow in Northern Michigan with our 5' King Cutter. It's been mowing grass and light brush for 5 years now. Our property is located near East Tawas in the Tuttle Marsh. Many times the grass on the diked trails is a foot to two foot tall and partially under water, so we mow through water and anything else. We use a Yanmar with Rice patty tires. Got to say it has held up. It stays outside year round with a tarp cover. KC's aren't known for having a nice paint job. I consider the Land Pride as being several steps up as well as the Wood's.

There is no comparison when you match a diesel to gas in terms of raw torque. The 4100 will simply amaze you and leave your jaw on the ground what it can do compared to the 25hp gas.

For my 755 the JD parts catalog lists a "three point hitch" and a "heavy duty three point hitch with high lift capacity" can anyone tell me the difference? Also my stock anti sway chain turnbuckels "bottom out" (to long) just before I can snug them up, they can only be adjusted by disconnecting them. The HD3ph anti sway appears to be adjustable while connected, a much better system.

I was at my JD dealer last week. he claims to have a couple of customers with wallenstein backhoes on 2210's. he said they have been trouble free so far and that he believes that if JD were to design a backhoe for the 2210 it would mount something like the wallenstein. He also gave me the name and number of one of the guys and said call him and he will let you come take a look at it.

Any one out there who raises truffles? I have sandy land that I am starting to clear the juniper and yaupon off of. This land also grows oaks like mad so should be no problem raising inoculated oak trees. Looks good on paper with about 6-7 years until harvestable but looking for anyone with current experience.

It's a relatively minor quibble. Since I don't remove the backhoe often and since it only takes a couple of minutes to remove the seat I'm living with it so far. I'll probably check at the dealer first next time I'm there. If they come up with a free fix I'll be money ahead :)

i have no concerns about the jd 790 operating a 72" woods rm600. but i am wondering how much i should pay for a used woods rm600 finishing mower and on rolling terrian how well it will cut compared to my 50" riding lawn mower. how much faster can u cut with a rear mounted deck? thanks joe oh by the way the rm600 is being sold for $700.00

Well from what I have seen of the contract, Deere seems to of got a fair contract for both sides (company/hourly) I cant say the same for CAT. the heads are meeting again this week there and I can only hope the best for them. We are still in limbo with no talks going on as of yet just working with no agreement. We are having a tough time deciding if we should make reservations for the fam. vacation in Colorado this summer (have not gone on one for 5 years) Dont know if I will be working at this place or not (maybe will need to take on anouther job and not have vacation time) All this talk here has brought a nagging idea of mine (that I have had for awhile) My wife and I had a discussed it and I will be starting a class or two this fall and see how it goes. (dont laugh) Engineering! LOL. I am 38 and have seen the light! My trade has lost its appeal to me for a few reasons and one is job security no matter where you look for work no matter how hard or good you do your job, when the company slows down your gone and the jobs are not very plentiful in my area anymore
(gone over seas alot of them have). I am figuring to take a class or 2 every year and hopefully take off work in 3 years and go full time to finish up. Now I may have to take back all those bad thoughts I have had about all you engineers out there! LOL.
I will be on my tractor again next weekend, have a few field to get in soon, all this rain has kept me out and off the tractor for the last few weeks. Cant wait for the seat time and to start my half tan!
