I have a rear mount 60" on my 7500. It handles it easily. I just don't like the cut. If it's wet the wheels trample down the grass before the mower can get to it. I really want to "upgrade" to a MMM, but I have a problem with the house banker. We just built a new house and have alot of gottas right now. The only advantage of a rear mount is getting it off quickly and you can carry stuff on the platform.
Having said that I have also had the wheels of my old Mitsubishi sink in a wet spot and had the mower hang up on the ground. That was a bitch and I swore off MMM since then. My new yard is a bit dryer so I'm willing to give it another try.

Well, after waiting three months on one welder to make modifications to my Jinma Chipper I found another guy who did it in a week.<br>

If anyone is interested, pic 17 is of a foot pedal that was added to lift the feed roller. The stock configuration requires that you pull the bar behind the feed chute UP to raise the feed roller. Since the feed roller spring is VERY strong it was a back-tweaking operation. The foot pedal makes that operation much easier.<br>

Pic 19 is of the mods done to make the hitch work with iMatch. Basically, a piece of square stock slides over the standard mount and is pinned in place and a drop-hitch style of top mount was welded on. This piece slides off for easy belt access. I also had the guy weld some additional bracing on top of the top link mount since somebody previously mentioned that there was a weakness in the top mount.<br>

I painted and lubed it up this weekend and was primed to use it when... I found my pto shaft was a few inches too short. Had to order one but by next weekend this puppy should be fully operational! I'll post further impressions and a review after I get a few hours on it.

I would not recommend welding on the teeth. That would create allot of extra work and expense to cut the welds off.

I'm saying $50 because around here any way all they would charge is consultation to sign there name, and proof read the letter. Now keep in mind that you only have a claim against the dealer and you will most likely not get 100% coverage. It is there responsibility to make sure the tractor is to spec before they resell it. I know that I remove any thing that is not suitable or approved for the equipment at time of trade, weather the sales men likes it or not. the only thing approved for the 7308 is the factory bucket you would have to go to the larger tractor tc35 and up to be able to use other loader implements.

I am looking at a Kioti CK20 to replace my JD655. I have looked at the JD 4110, but since my the engine on the 655 failed catastrophically after only 530 hours (apparently a design flaw with the injectors) I am not to happy with JD.<br>

The Kioti appears well built, actually very well built, and for the money seems a much better buy. My question is the transmission on the Kioti. Does their HST transmission have a clutch? My JD has a hydrostatic transmission with only forward and reverse pedals �. No clutch. I plan to ask the dealer when I get back next weekend, but thought I would ask.<br>

Any way I would say if you are splitting it 50/50 that is about fair if you are using the hay and not selling it. If you are selling it you may as well sell it to who ever is doing the work for you. What ever tractor you decide on you can always trade up later on where you acquire more land. Tractors especially any of the big three will hold there value and you will most like likely not lose any money on the trade. Just another thing to think about.

Craig, I think you said more than a mouthful and you didn't even know you had a chew.

I've read it time after time that they won't fix this and they won't fix that under warranty. I'm talking all makes of tractors here.

You're dealer can be your best friend or your worst enemy.

I'd say 95% of warranty issues are left up to the dealer's discretion. I really think that percent is a modest one.

No it's an L4310 HSTC, see my pic's # 11 & 12.

After your post I called my shop foreman and asked him how much 'extra' cable the is in the remote control cables for one of the units we just got in with a factory cab, most of our cabs are aftermarket. On a brand new Grand L4630HSTC there is (in his opinion) only about another 2" (maybe 3" if you REALLY tried) 'extra' length in the cables from the original mounting spot on the fender.

This would make VERY little difference in the door access but would likely put the joystick too high to be comfortably reached. It is in a reasonably ergonomic position now, at least for someone my size anyways.

New cables or controls are, of course, possible, cost may be prohibitive though.

Just purchased a BX23 at Messick's in Elizabethtown PA.<br>

I was happy with that quote. I have seen Messick's respond to other's messages here asking them to stop by for better prices then they talked about.<br>

The bad thing is that they said their shop was about a week behind for preparation. At least six BX23's sitting there.<br>

So I have to wait a week for delivery. The good thing is that the salesman gave me the manual on my request so that I have the chance to really read it before the machine arrives.<br>

Kids interest in a tree house is short-lived unless you have lots of children at varying ages that can take over as others lose interest. I would suggest one of those storage sheds on ground level with a window and put some landscaping shrubs around it. When they lose interest, you have a place to put you lawn tools, etc.
