cutting brush with a finish mower is a real drag. It is hard on the mower, plus the brush cutter will cost alot less. Good luck!

Stump.. I'd try aux lights on the ROPS. It'll give you more light at a better angle than the stock lights . John

I'v had my L35 for 2yrs what it lacks in weight and torque it makes up for in agility and versatility. its got a little dog complex. wont swipe trees & stumps like a dozer but some diggin & pryin it'll do the job. for me any smaller machine would frustrate. It's narrow and 4x4 nimble It'll go where bigguns wont. brushhog works great....now I need a b scraper w top/tilt kit for grading...thumb for the bucket...sucks I need to bring it to town to make some $$....

I am a parts manager at a Cub dealership (We are also Gehl euipment and have been there # 1 world wide dealer a couple years ago). Anyway, we sell quite a few of the CC compacts and have very low maintenance problems with them. I personally own a 7360ss and it is one tough unit. It will pull 3-14 3-pt plow in 4 wheel drive. My main gripe with it is that the headlights are located in the grill and with a loader on, they get blocked. We advice overhead halogens.

My neighbor got back to me about his mechanic friend. The dealer wants about $1200 plus parts for the job. My neighbor's friend will do it for $600 plus parts. I think thats the route Im going to go but not until fall when things slow down some. Im still going to do the JBWeld thing to get me through the season. Ive got some other stuff made by Loctite called Metal Magic Steel that I got from work. Its more of a putty that you work with your fingers. Ive got the oil drained, the pan all scraped, wire brushed, sanded and cleaned. I got a couple of test areas of the JBWeld and that Metal Magic curing on a scrap piece of metal to see how they setup and work. If I just had a little hole to fill, I think the JBWeld would definately be the way to go but after cleaning the pan off, I can see that the metal is pretty thin along the whole back edge of it. Im thinking the putty may work better to cover the larger area. I was going to use a fiberglass cloth sandwiched between layers of JBWeld covering the bottom of the pan but that now seems like a mess in the making.

I only have the S/N and a tag that says it will fit B7300, B1700, B2100, B2400, B7400, B7500, B2410. Are these similiar in size to my B7100? I am a new owner. Thanks

you realy dont have any clue. and like an airplain has anything to do with cuts. and i am a certifed nh tech. you expect the world to hand you every thing. but when you bad mouth the company that i take a lot of pride in and 99% of the purchasers do to. It pisses me off when some spoiled person gets mad cause we wont cover some thing 3 years out of warrnenty. to have you know that we do bend the rules a little if say it is 6mo to year. but 3 years is entirely too long.<br>

and i was comparing the b-hoe breaking from abuse which are supposed to be very strong compared to a cut.

Have you checked compression? Unlikely that you'd lose compression in all cylinders, though. Would still start on 2 or 3 cylinders.
Ignition timing? Could be sparking at the wrong time. Remove #1 spark plug and turn engine until #1 piston is at about TDC. Remove distributor cap; rotor should be pointing about at #1 terminal .
Have you had the valve cover off to check that the valves are opening and closing? If a pushrod falls out of place, that cylinder will be dead. Still would start on the others, though. Timing chain, maybe? Don't know if the Fords used a chain.
Low battery / bad coil? Sometimes a marginal battery will have all of its juice soaked up when cranking, and the coil won't fire properly. Have you tried towing it to start it? I've seen tractors that just wouldn't start on their own fire right up when pulled. Be careful that the engine is turning freely, towing is a good way to cause major damage in a stuck engine, or if a cylinder is full of water, etc.
Could be something more simple, such as restricted gas flow; might be getting some gas but not enough. Gas cap vent OK? Gas lines not clogged up by rust (common in older tractors).

I have a Jinma 284 with a FEL. When I use the loader it steers hard is this normal? I just received the tractor.

from what you have mentioned you would be more suited for the tc24 remember these things hold there value very well. in the future if you need to go bigger you will not lose much money on the smaller tractor as a trade or even less if you sell it your self.

Well I worked on the tractor today I found that the injection pump was about 4 OZ low on oil. I ran it hard and it did not act up any more. I am hoping that that was the problem.

Anyone here have access to measuring their bucket on a tc40 or35. I am looking for the dimension from the front lip of the blade to the back of the lip. I made a ball hitch for the front bucket and forgot to get the dimension. (my tractor is 300 miles away from me right now)<br>
If I did not make myself clear enough sorry. I saw a picture of this that clamps on the bucket to move around trailers. It looks like the front lip goes under a piece of round stock and there is a piece of flat stock welded that would lock this tool in place. The distance from the round to the flat is what I am unsure of. I believe it would be just a tad longer than the front (wear plate dont know the proper term) on the bucket. For the 16LA <br>

Thanks for all of the feedback. I did see the information regarding 4 drain plugs and realized that 11+ gallons needed to be dealt with. Also took the advice of revisiting the dealer when buying the hydraulic fluid to get question re: bleeding, front axle draining etc. Results are the the fluid should be good to go for another 400 hours. Thanks for your reinforcement.

Well, here was the process I followed. Sanded off paint from the block in the area that the threaded adapter would attach to the block, drained all coolant into a clean bucket, tapped the plug out of the block, screwed on the threaded adapter, screwed in the actual block heater and then refilled the system. Since I could find no reason to use the "required" governor cover, returned it to the dealer (they couldn't find any reason to use it either). All in all it was pretty simple and straightforward, not wishing for winter to return, but can't wait to test it out!
