I had bought a 15 gal. pull behing sprayer with boom last month. After talking to alot of you and others the concenses is that 15 gal. probably would be pretty small for what I need. I have not opened the box yet and can take it back. Now that I have had it paid for, for over a month I can afford anouther (larger) sprayer.LOL. Anyway, I am thinking of going to a 3 pt sprayer for the tractor with boom. Any suggestions for this impliment? Any precautions that need to be took when spraying round up (like getting it on the tractor with over spray?)<br>
Would anyone here NOT recomend a 3 pt sprayer? over a pull behind?

jk, if your measured leak down is excessive, you could have a scored spool or bad load check on your valve. As some leak down is normal, excessive leak down can be signs of a problem. If you aren't seeing any leaks, your leakdown is most likely inside the valve body.

Mike, go to the Kubotaengine website. They have all the performance curves on the site. Check your manual for the engine model and you can find the curve. I have always lived by the torque curve. I try to run at peak torque for most tasks except when mowing or operating pto equipment that requires higher rpm's to run properly. Operating in the peak torque range is best for the engine, especially when grading and other heavy haul work.

Yes I caught myself twice without my belt on. I was just driving the field and the driveway blading, but I still should of had it on. I caught myself and am trying to make a mental note to myself to get in the habit of putting it on ALL the time. Also, can you believe it! I came within 1 foot of taking out my garage header already!!! I had stopped just before entering the door to make sure all was lined up and realized the ROPS were still up. I am putting a hangin sign up next weekend inside the door. Just like I figured it would happen, it looked like a storm may come in and was rushing to get things put away. I was shocked!!! But alls well that ends well I guess, maybe it will be a wake up call for me.

Hydraulic fittings are available with two types of pipe fitting threads, NPT, and NPTF. The NPTF threads are supposed to be able to be sealed without teflon tape. The NPT fittings require tape.

In my barn, they both get tape.

This discussion has been started before. Although the gearing at the deck would influence the torque, the output torque at the shaft of the rear pto has 5 times the torque as the mid shaft, (540rpm vs. 2200 or 2400rpm ). Does the blade know the difference? Would net torque at the blade, and load on the engine, be the same for both situations?

Believe it or not, just before I got into 'uproot' mode I had washed the tractor up pretty good so I could lube it. I've been taking advantage of a really dry spring to do some jobs I would normally attempt after mid-June. There's still a lot to finish, so water and maybe some HondaBrite left over from the motorcycle will be all the cosmetic cleaning I will do until Fall. I do try to keep the mud off the axel and front wheel seals. Actually the paint on the bucket has held up remarkably well. (Wish I had some pics of today's mud run...)

It's a gear type, and the AG tires that's on it is ok. They also put on a ROPS and seatbelt which it didn't have before.<br>

I'm sure it's a humid hot (high enthalpy value), but I think the tractor only cares about dry-bulb hot. In that regard Phoenix has you beat. The day I moved from Phoenix it was 122 degrees F.

A second dealer (about 8 miles further away from me than the first guy) quoted me $23100 for the B7800 setup and $28300 for the L3130 setup. He was also much more informative about the options and considerations based on my needs. The first dealer failed to tell me (after specifically asking about it) that the BL4690 backhoe was not a true sub-frame mounted backhoe. The second dealer said he usually puts woods 7500 hoes on the B7800 because it is a true subframe mounted hoe (with an installed kit). Any opinions on the BL4690 vs. Woods 7500?

I had a friend with a 7.3l have the same problem 96 f250 with 18k on truck bought new, and used as plow truck in winter ,his rusted out and dripped ,but what we believe caused it was lack of paint on most of the pan.

For a factory loader for the tractor it is 300 pounds and not worth a lot as you have to add a lot of rear ballast!

What type of grass do you have and how often do you feed it? How often can you mow. Different make mowers do a better job on different types of grass. You need to find one that works with your situation.

OK, in case you haven't figured out your own price yet here is what I come up with. An exceptional price for a 4710, 4WD, eHydro, dual SCV, and R4 tires (with no extra rear hydraulics) would be around $20.8K. That's about 25% off and you'd be real hard pressed to do better than that. Add a couple hundred for power beyond if it has that, and add maybe $1300 if it has two more rear SCVs and the electric diverter. I'd say the price you have is REAL GOOD. A more typical price might be around $23k.
