I too used the bucket method to catch mice one winter in a cabin I locked up for the winter. I used antifreeze instead of water. When I returned in the spring I had around 20 well preserved dead mice. Tom F.

I just looked at the web site. The way I understand it you have to finance it for 36 months it has to be at least $1k, to get 48 months it has to be $5k, ect. This is typical so they are not financing small amounts for a long term.

I guess I am confused as to the distance problem. With the weight you are wanting to bear you need to span only a small distance I would think 6-8 foot on the 2x12. You would need to double deck the 3/4" plywood. Any load bearing structural floor I have seen has 1.5 - 3 inch solid decking.

I find it hard to believe that you need to remove the engine to replace the pan. I realize I need to on the MF65 but the pan is part of the frame. The Ford? Let me check the Cummins? I did it not that long ago on a boy's 350 GMC not easy to get in and out but it can be done.

I have no doubt we can design a more economical and healthful system, but I'd bet the farm that in this political and legal climate there is no way it will be properly implemented. Look at what government has done with the tax system! If private companies are creating a bureaucracy that is out of control I can't see government doing it more efficiently. They would probably take over existing insurers and add their own layer on top of them.

does anybody have a m5700 with hydraulic shuttle,I am looking in buying one, and do you think the hydraulic is worth money,and do you like the tractor. I know the hydraulic shuttle was new last year , any problems with it or the wet clutch thanks

just buy a massey 135 diesel (their really loud stock) then put on a cherry bomb muffer. then add a radio to drown out the noise.

You do need a brush hog for your new toy. I got a near mint 42" landpride that will fit right on it. It came off a Bx2200. I am also in maryland. See classifieds for more info. thanks.

NO, that's not common at all . sounds like he's has an injector problem. the Durmax has had injectors issues. I regularly get 17 city and 19 to 20 highway running the juice edge. All them extra ponies seem to make the right foot a little heavy. Would probley get a mile or two better with a lighter foot.

The rear mowers can be off set but it does not help much unless you have lots of clearance from limbs. I usually try to turn away from the tree at the last sec so the mower swings under the tree with out hitting it.

I usually use my lawn tractor to trim or the string trimmer. I also have a old scikle bar mower for trimming under my pines and along the road banks and ditches a couple of times a year.

If you have lots of trees ie: a christmas tree farm or orchard you might want to consider a orchard mower that is build with a 3' or so offset

I use mine (I think it is a 1572 with out looking) the land scape rake is really for doing finish work, removing larger stones etc. The rocks you have to hand pick. I would compare its use with a hard garden rake not a leaf rake.

I do use mine for raking up brush and probably lots of other stuff. I hate getting off to clean the debrie out of the teeth.

The problem with using it for driveways is its tendancy to want to seperate the stone from the fines. You end up with all the course rock on top and the fines on the bottom.

The really best way to use it is with guadge wheels. Alought I've used mine more than 12 years with out them and have did ok.

I would not consider a flip down scraper blade for it. I would buy a scraper blade as first choice. The scraper blade is more versitle. The york is more specialized.

Further to the lever thing Patrick: my current JM254 did the same thing for a while. My guess was that the thick Chinese motor oil that comes from the factory deposited a load of metal shavings on that lever's pivot point.<br>

Once the rocking trick confirmed that the lever would actually shift, I drained the transmission/transfer case - and gave it a GOOD flushing with kerosene. Drained and refilled with a 75W90 non-foaming gear oil, and the 2wd/4wd shift lever has worked fine ever since. <br>

I don't know if warranty policies are the same in Canada and the U.S. but maybe a new engine doesn't restart the warranty--seems like it should though.

I'm interested in seeing how the problem unfolds. Since I'm a Ford owner also in Canada, I have an interest in how NH supports its abandoned product lines. I'm also interested in how the explanation of inadequately torqued rod nuts was determined.

I'm starting to recall the stories now. The people who said they received very detailed info about their JD's may have said they got it through a dealer. Seems like a decent bet that dealers have access to info that customers don't.

If that's true, at least NH CS said to contact my dealer when I asked them a tech question that I figured a dealer would have without checking with their tech rep. About a month later I got a call from CS asking if I was satisfied with my dealer's response--I was. Maybe the question asked of a dealer would get a better answer.

I met him last summer here in my home town general store.
He was standing outside eating a piece of pizza. They were in Maine filming a movie and he was renting a place here in
the lakes. "Cool Hand Luke " at 79, it was great!
