Dan, WHY? do you need to do that. I'm not saying your not supposed to drop it on the ground but tilt the bucket down. evan scraping to clean up you don't need to lift the front tires off the ground. The job should be done with the front end on the ground so you have better control over how much you are digging down. If the bucket catches and the relief valve trips you stand a chance to ride over the bucket and bend the dump cylinders. art

Does anyone manufacture a three point trencher, similiar to the units that are installed on Ditch Witch machines, for a tractor? I know you may improvise with a middle buster or a few other implements, but nothing works as well. (except a backhoe)

Thanks for checking Larry,<br>I will be installing my new set of turfs, swapped out from R4s. I also noticed the charts in the manual and felt it must have something to do with mowing. I changed this spacing on the R4s and was hoping it could be done on the Turfs as well.

I have always had Fords which have a large aftermarket selection through mail order catalogs. Are there mail order catalogs that deal in kubota parts and implements?

Loftness used to make them. I think they are in Minnesota, however they quit making them. What they did was join two 90 deg. PTO gearboxes with plates bolted on either side holding the assembly together and run a driveshaft to the 3 pt. blower mounted up front. It was a good setup, but very time-consuming to build them right. Just wasn't any money in it. I got this info from someone that works there. They may still have a few gearboxes left and some advice on how to do it yourself, provided you had the tools and time to do it. I hope this helps.

With the electronic tray (white plastic gauge holder) flat on your work bench, (black foam down) you will be soldering a jumper conductor connecting # 5 post, which is the 25 series temperature indicator circuit and jump it to the #15 post, which is the 30 series temperaure sending circuit. Notice that the wire harness plugs into the pin bundle socket, which is at the back side of the instrument panel. The jumping will occur on the rear of the pin bundle. Again, you will solder the jumper at the back side of the harness plug. The foam side down. Notice that the back of the harness plug has small post exposed through the circuit card. Think of the layout as rows and columns, notice 4 rows and 6 columns. Working left to right, the top row is 21, 17, 13, 9, 5 & 1. Pin 1 is at the upper right hand corner, the right hand column (or column #6) is as follows: 1, 2, 3, & 4. Column #5 is 5, 6, 7 & 8. Column #4 is 9, 10, 11, & 12. Column 3 is 13, 14, 15 & 16. Solder a jumper between #1 and #15. The process is complete. I used a dab of silicone over the jumper to protect it from all the likely vibrations. As you reassemble the instrument panel use a small bead of silicone to re-establish the gasket bond as needed. Once the panel is installed it will take the tractor at least 15 minutes before the gauge will show signs of movement. The thermostat must open before the gauge detects an increase in temperature. Please advise me as to your end results and/or do not hesitate to post any questions. <br>NEW PROJECT- are you ready to install an oil pressure gauge, please advise. Anyone doing future post please let me know what is your home state.

Ted,<br>Overall, I agree with you on the quality of the 950. The parts we replaced seemed to be well machined and more than heavy duty. The mechanic who did the rebuild felt that the machine had been run out of oil at one time and this was the root cause of the failure. Not knowing the history is a risk of buying used from a dealer, especially one who loses your phone number when the machine breaks down shortly after delivery. I also agree with you on weather. There's just something about operating machinery on a -30F morning. BTW. Now that the engine has been rebuilt, it goes about its hogging and plowing duties with a purr. If you are competent with a welder you can build a ROPS. It is not rocket science. If you want guidlines on roll over protection for reference just see your local auto racing sanctioning body (SCCA, USAC, etc). A race car roll cage/bar is a tough structure and is overkill for a compact tractor. I would not recommend copying what is often mounted in the bed of trucks as a lot of these are just for show and are thin wall tubing. Make sure you mount it to sturdy structure and use good grade fasteners. I will be building one for my little excavator soon as I'm tired of being bashed by tree parts while

Clarke, should know if 2 or four wheel, but 2wheel drive good price is allied 180 at $3000.00 great bend offers nothing for that size. other loader manufacturers seem to be close to the 4000.00 mark. Del,<br>I would recommend you visit a few tire Manu'f websites, for a better explanation of highs & Lows of the two type tires. Each tire is designed to excel in certain areas. And something very important to remember, as traction increases, available life/wear usually decreases. Naturally the opposite holds true as well. R1s are designed to dig into soft stuff(dirt,mud,ect..)and they wear ok because they operate in a lower friction environment than say....concrete. R4s on the other hand are a kind of compremise for having longer wear for things like turning/operating on paved surfaces with somewhat similiar digging style traction charactoristics as a dirt tire. As far as working in mud, take a look at a back-hoe sitting at a contruction site and decide for yourself. I will admit to hearing that R4s aren't very impressive in snow/ice. But if you normally use chains anyway, this wouldn't be an issue for you:)
