I bought a used Agril (Made in Spain) 50" tiller for $450 and it works fine. It was used commercially and looks pretty rough. Thinking about going through it later this summer to replace gaskets etc. Going rate used around Missouri is $400 to 600.
I just found out Missouri Conservations rents them at the county AG offices. Maybe for wildlife food plot commitment only.

One of the deciding factors for me was the weight issue. My yard is very wet all year long it seems, and the lighter Kubota 7500 (1397 lbs) for more HP made sense to me.

Did I say anything about their online parts catalogs? No...
Its a terribly time consuming process to do that and I hope its working out for them.

I simply pointed out that they sell at Kubota's suggest pricing. Which they do, its not any cheaper than any other Kubota dealer thats not putting additional markup on their parts. Why bothter paying shipping?

Anyone know approx. value of a M602, in use, with 7' box blade, pull behind bush hog. All very rusty and beat up, but can pull tree roots out of ground if not careful.<br>

Tires should have a full foot print when static with load. You are about right with what you have done but could improve your ride by lowering your front pressure.

Just want to point out a few important points:

Weight of a JD 4410 Approx 2850lbs
Weight of a BX 2230 Approx 1300lbs

Using a 3-point trailer attachment moves the tongue weight about 18" behind the drawbar, and above the axles depending on how high you set the three point. Both offsets cause an overturning moment about center of the rear axle, and are additive. Net rear axle torque is again added to the overturning moment from the hitch, all reducing control of the load at the front of the tractor. Moving the tongue load back will increase traction at the rear axle.

I also have a home fabricated 3-point trailer attachment for my 7800 and love it, but also notice a significant difference in the handling of the tractor when I use it. For heavy towed loads, I use the drawbar. When using the 3-point attachment, I attempt to keep it as low as possible. I'm confident you will find that Kubota recommends towing only from the drawbar. They probably have a reason for this.

Moving heavy loads with a properly ballasted FEL sounds like a solution derived from experience, especially if done with the trailer in front of the tractor. This would give good control of the load.

The solution to your particular situation will be best derived by considering all the comments you can collect, and carefully planning your approach. Every situation is a little different. Safety first, makes enjoying possible.

Oneace the hook-ups and subframe are the same. It is the exact hoe except for decals. Hopefully this weekend I will get some pictures up. The only other differance is the cylinders are painted black instead of blue.

Both decent machines,and both hold their value better than
the rest(IMO).
I think the drive pedal is awkward for a reason(safety)
there is no confusing your intensions. Same as the brake
on the same side,foot OFF the drive when braking. I think
it has a lot to do with the companies interputation of
liability.
I like the loader control,I feel more "part of the bucket"
when trying to adjust it.

HOWEVER..there IS a caveat..a new countertop. She wins. The countertop that the little woman wants is $2K MORE than the scooter. Now I've got to get 2 bikes to break even.

Thanks everyone for your input! Looks like I will probably go with the New Holland. I will just have to haggle on getting the TC40 over the TC35. I'm sure that the added cylinder will definately be smoother with more torque.

I've got $6000 in a 3000 Yanmar (W/less than 500 hrs) with a tiller, bush hog and 9" hole auger. A loader for it is $2400 installed so add it up...$8500

That sounds like a pretty good deal to me! With those low hours the tractor is barely broken in. You are for the most part buying a nearly new tractor. You may want to make an offer before it is gone. Here is a link to a 955 pricing post.
