Really. Well that makes more sense to me. But I'm concerned because the dealer that sold it to me said that he has gotten a lot of the GST's back after 200 hrs., because the user was on the clutch. He said that the system was not designed to handle the clutch and that you should let the hydraulic shifter do it for you. I wonder if I can contact anyone at Kubota? Does anyone else have any similar expereince?<br>John

Thank you for all the info. I am more concerned about size. I wont a tractor that is not to big or to small with power. I will be doing a lot of mowing and need to get in tight places around the house and trees on the property. It looks like the Boomers dimensions are the same between the TC21-TC33 so I would definitely go with the TC33 HST. Thanks again.

I agree that you won't have any problem with either the John Deere (which is made by arps) or Woods Backhoe. The Power King is something I would watch out for. I think that most if not all dealers on this board would agree that a three point mounting is not ideal for a John deere 1070. Both the Woods and Deere units have had subframe mountings enfgineered to fit your tractor. They are sturdy and easily removed/attached. Only other advice is that if you need a commercial grade to look into Bradco. If you are in the Northeastern U.S. you may want to email me. One note on Kelley Backhoes, their subframes are the most retarded, awkward contraptions that I have ever seen. The Backhoes work fine but look as if they were made in someone's basement. The buckets they make, sorry to say, are also pathetic. Wouldn't be bad if they were priced 1500-2000 below the competition

I have some experience with diesel engines. Adding additional mufflers or any restriction to the exhaust will cause additional back pressure. This in turn will cause more heat build up in the engine compartment. Watching the temp guage will give some indication of a potential problem but may not tell the whole story. Personally, I would not recommend adding the extra muffler. I would consult a dealer and take his advice.

JD Dealer in Columbia, NJ (Warren County Service Center, 220 Rt 94 Columbia, NJ 07832 Tel# 908-362-6916) assembles 25+ 4x2 Gators for one day use in the Macy's Thanksgiving Day Parade. They are returned to him after parade where they are sold at reduced prices as new. You may want to give him a call or maybe have your local dealer handle it.

The only problem I see with the TC18 is the price. That is an awfully high price for such a small tractor. I priced some new tractors back in the spring and all the tractors priced were 4wd, shuttle shift models, with front loaders. You can adjust for a belly mower. <br>JD790 $14,182<br>JD4200 $15,277<br>JD4300 $17,007<br>Cub Cadet 7300 $15,090 with R4's 30hp<br>MF 1250 $17,100 32hp<br>Like I said these are without the belly mower and all prices are before tax. I would shop around some. You already have a tractor so you can afford to wait and find a better deal.

One more thing, expansion of the oil should not matter. The fittings should seal themselves when they are disconnected, regardless of pressure. Once again, just replace it.

Make sure there is plenty of oil in the transmission! Then try either jacking up the rear of the tractor or,even better, backing up a steep hill. The pump should prime itself. If it is still not picking up the oil, don't keep running the tractor or the pump will sieze up.

I understand your reasoning, but the grey's DO offer a profound value due to lower pricing. I can sell you a 27hp 4wd Yanmar in good to very good condition for $5995...a machine larger than a 750, and a little under an 850...you won't find that in used JD. Hundreds of Yanmar dealers nationwide too who can get you parts. I'm just saying be careful..as one should in any transaction when you are not personally familiar with the equipment. If your green is JD, it is Yanmar.

I have a new TC33D and it doesn't smoke at all. While comparison shopping I tested a variety of Boomer models and don't recall any noticable smoke except possible briefly when starting. I really like this machine, but a new one should not smoke and a responsible dealer should correct this.

I have a 420 loader with a bucket indicator and has worked properly since I recieved it without having to cut anything off. It sounds like you have the wrong level indicator!
