BOB, hang in there i am sure you will get it done! on saturday i putt the 4110 hst to the test at 8 :00 am i has deliverd 20 yards of screened top soil.by 2 pm i had moved all 20yrds. up a substantial hill with the 53" fel and smoothed it all out with the 48" befco box scraper! what a machine for such a small tractor!!! its monday and i had 10 more yrds delivered so after work i will finish up the project phase 1. ps dennoace so far i have not experienced any surge in idle cold or hot so far! i have enjoyed this site very much !!!!!:)

OK--if you have a good working relationship with your dealer, would they consider letting you try another deck on your machine? Would at least eliminate the deck as the source of the problem, or prove it was the problem. You could go for same size and smaller deck just to compare.

Oops, bet it was great until the oh sh** moment. I've gotten in the mud up to the axles a time or two, the come along is now a permanent fixture in the ballast box so I don't have to walk back the garage and get it.

I need more weight to counter balance the 1500 pounds 500cm in front on the (light) tractor. Carrying the 1500# bale on the rear will then allow me to move bales with the loader spike with improved stability.

5030 with cab, Hydrostatic, loader, off brand auger ( a late surprise) and hay spike was 31,000. They discounted 400 for the quick snap loader and allowed me to buy a Woods B72 brush hog for 1000 (not in the above 31K).

So after I turn the soil with the plow should i use a disk harrow to cut it up better?? Or is the disk used for something different all together?

After I rough the level in I (like harvey) turn the blade around and it then does a nice job of smoothing for a finished look. With gravel, you might need to tie a little weight to the blade frame if it skims over too much.

Often people choose the tractor, then select the implements. I think this is backwards. The methodical approach to selecting equipment is to make a list of what you need to do with it. Then select the implements that you need to do that work. Then select the size tractor that will best handle the needed implements and fit in your garage :) When you purchase you can't go wrong with any of the big 3, and some of the others (Kioti, Branson) are good values and coming on strong. My advice when it comes to brands is shop the dealer FIRST, then shop the equipment. If you have a problem, especially as a new tractor owner, you need someone who will stand behind you. There is nothing more frustrating than spending big bucks on equipment and then fighting with the dealer to get parts, service and support.

Congrats on your purchase. I recently looked at the Deere models and felt the 4310 was a good model for doing the types of stuff you described. I think you will be happy with it.

I am feeding an RO machine with my soft water. It is not smart enough to pretend the calcium carbonate isn't there. Because it concentrates the mineral in the waste water it will scale up and stop running unless it get "real" soft water.

RO machines are so cheap now that I wonder why anybody would buy bottled water. If there is any concern about excess sodium in the diet, and for some reason you can't afford $200 for an RO, then simply fill the brine tank with potassium chloride.

Maybe too the question should be "which is the best for the operator?" If you aren't like some of the gear heads here who were practically born with a clutch under their foot and you don't frequently use one in your car or truck, then you may not be very happy with a clutch and shuttle shift transmission.

I can't speak for that model but can say that my Cub 7275 has been a good machine. The only problems in about 9 years has been the hydraulic lines have rubbed as well as the fuel lines. I had to change the hydraulic filter at about 400 hrs. It does have a slight problem with interlock switch when starting and I need to readjust it.

I found that when it doesn't start, you don't need to wiggle the neutral position of the hydr. Mine needs a readjustment at the rear PTO. I wiggle the rear PTO handle. (i.e. your PTO can't be engaged for start-up for obvious safety reasons). I haven't had the time to readjust it, but it can't be too difficult.

In the days before Celebrex I took Feldene aka pyroxicam. This worked EXTREMELY well for me but it is VERY hard on the stomach in some cases. If I took it with a meal, I rarely had any problems. When Celebrex came out, I switched to it. Works well although not as good a Feldene but MUCH easier on the stomach. As mentioned above, a program of good stretching and exercise also helps alot.

It sounds to me that the combined weight could be twice the recommended trailer towing capacity from the analysis of the previous posts. Sounds like you need to either: borrow a truck and trailer from a friend, get a truck or "Road" the tractor. The insurance comment is an interesting point. I'm sure your homeowners policy wouldn't cover a road accident. I have an umbrella policy which covers just about anything. It takes over after my other policies lapse but with certain limitations and can be purchased in increments. I have a $2,000,000.00 policy. That may be a consideration. Policy rates vary with the area and the amount of toys, etc.

New decal sets usually can be ordered from a dealer as well, although they might not be very useful once the signs are understood. There might be some difference in the controls and operation between Japanese and EC or NA models.

I don't know on the JD but there's the possibility of having two reliefs. One system relief that could be located in a manifold block and another in the loader valve itself. There's also the possibility that speced pressures are different for a system and loader valve valve.

A manual and pressure gauge likely is needed to test and make adjustments. My system relief pressure requires some disassembly of the block, and the pressure adjustment is made by shims behind a spring. A shim kit needs to be ordered. Guess I'm more issues and speculation than help here.

I would look at a rhino hoe. They make the OEM hoes for NH. I just bought one for my TC33 for over $2000.00 less than the nearest NH quote. From what I can see the only differance is the decals.
