It seems reasonable to me. The only other cab in the CUT that I know of is the Kioti. From the description the Kubota unit seems like a very good, but have only seen the Kioti's. I might take a peak at the Kioti if you have a dealer close.

I went in to the dealer last week and tested the 4710. Sent my info off before the end of the month. Fine print reads, while supply lasts, with my luck!!!!!

My 1710 reads full hot when the ignition switch is off. One time I started it, gave it a short warm up, looked down and the gauge read full hot--I freaked.

I gave it a controlled shut down. Waited a bit and then turned it on. The gauge read cold and the tractor warmed up normally. With a bit of checking later in the day I figured out that the wiring was intermittent. Cleaning the sender and the fuse holder contacts fixed it up (I don't know which was the problem) and it hasn't reoccurred in five years. The thermostat did start sticking partially open between then and now and I noticed it wasn't coming up into the normal range except under heavy work. Sender units are pretty reliable but an ohm reading can be taken when the tractor is cold and again when it's hot to see if it changes.

The answer is depends? What applications you are going to use the tractor for.
Concerning maintenance the hydro requires you to change the oil and filters like any transmission and requires more oil. The shuttle or standard will require a clutch over time.

This is sort of a generic procedure since I don't know the BX wiring. First I'd ensure that the proper size bulbs are in the flashers and nothing is connected to the circuit.

Then I'd disconnect the wiring from the switch to the flashers (it's underneath the fenders on my Ford). I'd then turn on the ignition switch and flashers to see if the fuse blows. If it doesn't blow, I'd remove the bulbs and test for continuity between the wire to each flasher and ground. There shouldn't be continuity and it sort of identifies the problem if there is.

If the fuse continues to blow with the flashers disconnected then the problem is ahead of where the wires were disconnected. With the ignition and flasher switches off, There shouldn't be continuity between either wire feeding the flashers and ground. If there is that identifies the problem but the wiring would have to be traced back to the flasher switch.

If those ideas don't find it there are other possibilities such as the flasher switch or the fuse holder.

I forgot to mention safety. Cutters should have guards installed to minimize the problem of debris flying out and hitting people or property. IMHO the best guards are chain segments that hang between the cutter and the ground. These keep the medium to large stuff from flying around and last nearly forever. Rubber guards also help contain the smaller stuff but they get torn up and need replacement.

No matter what type you use it is best to keep bystanders and animals away from the cutter in operation. It is not unusual for the operator to get hit with debris from time to time so it wouldn't be a bad idea to wear some protective equipment.

Thanks Beagle. I live in Aus. and I think that there are similiar kits available here but I will persevere with fabricating it myself. The support bracket for the trencher will interfere with any stock kit. The trencher is easy enough to take off, but the re-enforcement bracket is a different matter.

i have unstalled humdreds of 12la loaders and have never seen a 48" bucket that would not cover your tire tracks which in most cases is not ideal is you saw a 48" on one it would have had to of been a special purpose bucket

I can't speak to other brands, but my MX5 continues to impress the heck out of me. I mow down 2" saplings and there is almost no visible debris left behind. Built like a tank. It's a spendy but very high quality cutter.

If your iMatch is attached like mine you just need to remove three big cotter pins, pull the three pins out that attach the iMatch to the three links and it just falls off. Watch your toes!

If you want some practice with a wrench, you may want to consider the Chinese tractors; the JinmaFarmproNortracFarmcat, etc. gets mixed reviews. Some like them, some don't. They cetainly are cheaper in most every way. Browse the board on this site. Like the other boards, it has some good information about the chinese tractors on it.

I converted my fireplace to propane, when the wife wants a fire I just sit in my chair push the button on the remote an instant fire. Warm, clean and no hassle I wish I had done this years ago. needless to say no more wood piles to deal with.

Your JD790 should pull a single bottom plow with R-4's without a problem. I have a little trouble with mine equipped turf tires when plowing quite deep. My combined gardens are about an acre or so.

A moldboard plow is lots cheaper than a tiller and is kinda old technology. Its intent was to turn the soil such that the debris on top would be turned down under to decay and turn into natural fertilizer. It is faster than a tiller in wide open spaces but doesn't provide a smooth top surface with fine soil particles.

A tiller can also break up new soil but breaks everything into very fine particles.

You can go either way. I have both items.

I like to plow under my corn stalks, rotten tomatoes and pumpkins in the fall. It makes good fertilizer. In the spring, I like the tiller to make fine soil particles getting ready for planting. If the plots are small, I may use my walk behind tiller for spring planting.

Depending upon the plot size, I may go either way to break up sod for a new plot.

I prefer the tiller for redoing my lawn by not setting it very deep and just mulching/ grinding the sod and soil together.

I have a B6100E and if I remember correctly it requires about 3-1/2 qts. On a fuel filter change, turn the fuel valve off, clean it out, reinstall and bleed at the filter. There are two bleed screws on the filter body. You should not need to do any further bleeding. If you run out of fuel it will need more bleeding but I have never had to bleed the injectors.I have not needed to change my filter in the last year so my memory may be a little off. If you need more info, I would have to pull my manuals.

I get the same thing from people in canoes who have spent days paddling into the bush to reach the same I lake as we get to in about 10 minutes.

Their trying to say they think we're # 1 not hello.

Tex, I've never had any my 'Bota's in Texas, but we have had some of our fleet in southern Georgia in the summer.

If they can keep their cool in 90+ degrees and humidity levels about the same I don't think you'll have much problem.

Bear in mind these sytems are designed to keep up with summer in south Asia, a comparitvely dry area like Texas should be no problem.

The glass is solar tinted too, I'm sure that helps a LOT.

I went a step further. I have a connection to the US patent database, so I took a look at the patent on the website that you linked to. The patent is for a torturous flow path mixing sytem. It does not have anything to do with water softening.
