I STORE ALL MY CHAINS AND TIRE CHAINS IN MY BALLAST BOX AND WELDED 4 SWIVLE 300 LB CASTORS ON THE BOTTOM. DROP THE BOX ON THE GARRAGE FLOOR AND ROLL IT INTO THE CORNER.
WENT TO THE LOCAL SCALES AND THE BOX WEIGHED IN AT 782LBS ENOUGH FOR ANYTHING I HAVE DONE TO DATE.

I have a Kubota L2350DT and want to purchase a tiller to use in my garden. The tractor has 20.5 PTO HP. Which size tiller would be best for this tractor?

48 or 60 inch tiller

Looking for advice. Both seem to have similar specifications. Prices in Northern Virginia for each are running in the vicinity of $950 with slip clutch option. Gearbox on the Bush Hog has higher rating (65hp vs. 50hp). I would be running the cutter on a Kubota B 2910. Your thoughts and advice are most welcome.

I would also love to have a cab but, since I have to work close to a lot of trees, presume a branch would break a window the first day. I have seen it happen to someone (a big John Deere). So, unless Kubota has glass the strength of steel, I guess I'll have to do without. Any other opinions on this?

I see there is a 20" dia. blade that is 3.5mm thick. That would be an upgrade from the 18" dia. blade that is 3 mil. thick. Huge price difference though. $232 bucks more. When you say stoney ground? do you mean ground that has not been picked yet. How about if I had the field for the most part picked down to around 2" dia stones. You know you can never get all of those smaller rocks it seems like! Maybe that rake I bought will help me out with the smaller stones also.
Anyway do you think it would be worth the money to get a blade that is basically .020 thicker and 2" dia. larger?

I will shortly buy a B 2910 to replace my B 2400, which has been excellent (and which I will be selling - only 320 hrs). I have 84 acres in northern Virginia and I will get a 60" light-duty rotary mower, probably Woods or Bush Hog, for the long-grass/moderate-weed fields that I mow less often. I have an M 5030 with a serious Bush Hog for the really heavy stuff (saplings and stout brush), but want the convenience and safety of HSD for those less often mowed but still not too challenging areas. In other words, it is the desire to have that 5 foot light duty cutter that has pushed me to the B 2910.<br>

For where I need to have the grass looking good, the 10 or so acres around the house, I use the 60" mmm on the B 2400.<br>
It lets me get into the tight places, around trees, etc. But the B2910 is about 7 inches wider than the B 2400, and I was wondering if the wheels will get in the way of accomplishing with it what I can now do with the B 2400. In which case, it might make more sense to go with the 72" mmm since the 72" mmm would reach out well enough beyond the wheels -- although I would give up some maneuverability in terms of overall width. (The 72" would run about $600 more as well -- not an insignificant consideration.) <br>

Hey green, not to get in the middle of this thread, but before you spend the $'s on the position control parts ( I priced them ), I built a position indicator for my 7800 that reads out the elevation of the 3-point in front of you. It has helped a lot. If interested to find out about it, let me know.

Back on subject, look seriously at the position control on the 3-point.

Thanks for your help. Before I bought the truck I checked the VIN to find that it is geared 3.73. Sound like we both own the same truck now. Mileage so far seems consistent with exactly what you are getting. Thanks again, Rick

Well my situation is that I get 3.9% rate through my credit card promotion and I could only get 0% financing for 36 months which would make my payments higher.

My question is in regards to the selling price of the used tractor vs purchasing new. My financing rates do not enter the equation here as I can get good rates on my own.

This tractor seems in excellent condition with 6 months remaining on the 2 year warranty and one year left on the 3 year portion.

I looked at new Kioti 1914 model but really like the features of the 2410HST.

I just hope it's a good decision. I will be living with it for a while.

You may want to consider a rear mower instead of the MMM. Mine does a nice job and mowing around obstacles is good but removal is a hassle (non-Deere). Without the MMM you wouldn't need the dealer installed MM PTO. You should also consider a rear blade or boxscraper with the deal. I'm into big tires when available (Deere also offers 27x8.5-15 front R4 and 43x16-20 rear R-4). If you plan on getting a BH get the folding ROPS. A frontier 1084 rear blade is about $525.00.
I priced one last month, sounds like you're getting a good deal.

You guys, have been a big help,,will check on the zetor 8011 for manuals,, i knew how to move the wheels out and in on massey,, but so far I have not even seen this Long, I just bought,, so was not sure what I might need when i go after it,, thanks again,, any information you can share about keeping this tractor running and in good shape could be very helpful,,,was told that on the long tractors you need to keep a close check on the hydraulic ,, because it had such a small reservoir,, and could run low and mess up pump.

Hello all, I have been reading through the site for a while now and have not come accross any post about the 790 and a 1�bottom plow... Anybody know if the 790 can easily handle a 1 or 2 bottom plow will R4 tires and cut up a new spot thats all sod right now???<br>

If you asked your local Cadet dealer, I'm sure he will be able to give you current pricing.

I bought my 1862 (base tractor with 46" deck) about 4 years ago for $2,100.00 when it had about 150 hours on it. I once bought a used metal cab for about $300.00 but that was years ago as well. I've also bought used snow blowers for $100.00 to $150.00 each. Sorry, but all of these are old prices.

The FEL on my L2250 seems to be quite jerky. Even with the slightest movement of the "joystick" it will raise or lower an inch or two. Is this normal? Thanks albe
