Vince, I gotta do that. I am intending to chronicle the installation of the rental upgrade kit, and I'll take some backhoe pics at the same time. Just waiting for a dry day now so I can work outside comfortably - the garage is too jam packed to work in there!

No Mitsubishi have been no help (so far at least) - there are no mitsubishi dealers here - I guess If I learned to speak Japanese a call to japaqn may help.

I have no doubt the parts exist in storage somewhere but before I trudge around half the country i'll try my best to get a model number. (best parts suppliers are several thousand miles north (in Queensland).

First off, what I'm after is a list of mini-excavators they produced in 1982.

Yes, I am after as agressive a disk as I can get since the weight will only be around 43# per cutting blade. I believe it has 20 and it is 860#. So you think I should be looking at the disk that has all 20 blades that are notched? Thanks

Well Well, I got my tractor back tonight. My dealer is an idiot.He says nothing is wrong with it. I dont hear the noise but my FEL doesn't work correctly.It will go up and down, but it will not pick up the front end of the tractor. After you raise the bucket up and down a few times it will pick up the front end..The fluid is full. I was using the loader when I heard the noise the first time and it came from the side with the pump on it.

Just remember to compare apples to apples when looking at rakes. I compared hp ratings to the different rakes and not the name (light duty med. duty etc.) When comparing rakes looking at the price and hp ratings along with quality construction the name manufacturers seem to build a pretty comparable product although the price difference is what seperates some from the running.

from my expert point of view:

go to a dealer and look at one, then look at the other

at that point you'll see any differences in size

drive 'em around, operate the buckets, put 'em up on curbs, drive across the street for a beer

I run a 2002 F350 single wheel with a service body. It is not loaded real heavy and I can get 14 mpg on the highway. Around town is 9 - 10 mpg. It is extremely smooth running and plenty of power. I think I have the 3.73 gears. No engine problems to date.

Just put all new belts on, adjusted clutch to factory setting..seems underpowered now...push the clutch in and the idle gets higher...Ran fine until I did this...now it is sluggish, doesn't want to run..also just rebuilt the carb...had the motor out to replace the starter...Can anyone help ???

From this thread and a few others, it appears that a good, heavy landscape rake can do much the same thing as a rear blade, but leaves a better finish for gravel, sand... Am I on the right track?

I was thinking about getting one for clearing sticks and branches out of pasture grass and small rocks (6-10"), out of what will eventually become a yard. Presently just weeds, vines and a little grass. Basically anything to prevent errosion for now.

I don't really want to tear up the pasture a lot, just clean up the branches... before shreading the smaller ones with the bush hog.

I don't really want to tear up the future yard too much either because it started having some errosion problems after it was first cleared. Eventually we will regrade and replant, but the more rocks I remove now the less to deal with later. When the septic went in, they found a lot of rocks that are now half burried all over the place.

Is this the correct impliment or should I be thinking about something else for spring cleanup?

Weasel all you should have to do to move the wheels in is loosen the one wheel you want to move in and turn the steering wheel to the right, if you are doing the right wheel and the left if you are doing the left, and drive forward. tighten that one and repeat the process over for the other one reverse the process if you are moving them out... good luck

At the end of my second enlistment in USAF (1976) a recruiter for Rhodesia, a country in Africa just above South Africa, spoke at the base NCO Club about the sale of farm land to foreigners. The deal seemed too good to be true; government financing, low interest rates on equipment purchases, large tracks of superb growing land for different types of farming, and plenty of blonde women eager to start a family. I was sorely tempted, but backed out when I was told that I'd have to serve in the Rhodesian army reserves and go through "basic" all over again. I turned down 1500 acres of wheat farm land.

Fast forward to 3 years ago: a friend of mine who took the offer has lost his farm to the "veterans" who fought for black rule. His farm, over 2000 acres, and all of his finances were given by the (now) black ruled government of Zimbabwe to blacks who knew nothing about farming. He was given the opportunity to work for the new "owners" or leave, so he left behind several dead family members who were killed while farming and returned to America. He works as a photoprocessing technician and for all intents, is a broken man.

The point? Some countries offer great deals to would be farmers. They truly are, too good to be true.

Tmeek, you may want to use the build and price feature on the Deere homepage, print out the data, and then visit your dealer. You'll know what features you want and what the current Deere msrp is. I'm not sure if the steel industry price increases have impacted the Deere product line, you may be surprised at the savings on an existing unit as compared to a new order.

ok this is what you need to do , as I have been doing this for 30 years now so I guess I should know. your house panel /service should be change to 200 amp first. once that is done than you will run 1.5"sk.80 pvc from house panel to garage,make it 2 feet deep in the ground, when you cover with dirt add 1 foot of dirt over pipe, then roll out caution tape over fill so you do not dig it up latter.than fill in trench the rest of way. you will need to pull in 3/ # 2 copper wires and 1/# 4 ground wire to feed 100 amp panel . 100 amps is more than you will need because how many machines can you use at once. I over sized the wire because off voltage drop you will have at 200 feet away.nice new 200 amp service at house ,and 100 amp at garage.also add 3/4# pvc in trench for phone a must. the reason why your meter wire lossen up is because it was probably alum. and not copper .alum must retighten at least once several days latter as it is soft ,so that is why I recomend using copper only better job .I hope this will help ,ps do not pay $17 a month for 2nd service use it to pay for complete up grade once kurt
