My shop is about 150 ft from my meter, I wired my shop and run the appropriate size electrical cable from my breaker box to the meter, leaving about 8 ft of cable out of the ground to wire to the main meter. I had previously contacted the electrical co-op and explained to them what I was doing, They told me to leave the last few feet of trench uncovered so they could confirm I was burying the cable the correct depth, I installed the cable in conduict.when I was ready for them to connect me they came out and hooked everything up at no charge I recommend you wire your shop with a 200 amp box so you will have enough power to run all your "TOYS" Good Luck

No primer that I've heard of, although the archives here would make a pretty good one.

Everyone develops their own style, and grading is something of an art so maybe scraper use can't be described very well. Takes a bit of experience to develop an eye for slopes and contours.

The basics of operation the way I do it can be summed up as: 'The blade attack angle is almost everything and that angle is controlled by a hydraulic top-link.' I seldom touch the 3ph except for transport and for picking up or dumping a load. For grading work I give the 3ph plenty of float so the box will follow the ground and ride the hydraulic top-link valve to control the rate of cut. Shortening it increases the cut. Lengthening it comes to a neutral point where it doesn't cut but material can be dragged in the box. Lengthening it further will spread material in the box. Top-link adjustment for the rear cutter is opposite.

Fine grading work can require almost constant adjustment of the top-link. For example, if I'm cutting down a grade I start with a fairly heavy cut at the top and progressively lengthen the link to reduce the rate of cut. When the box is full, I stop the cut, drag material down the slope and start spreading it towards the bottom.

The art of it is getting the rate of cut, length of drag and rate of spreading right for the length of the slope. Once the skills are developed a slope can be changed to most any particular grade and there won't be any bumps or dips left over to cut or fill.

The tabs on the front are a great idea. I am going to do that. I was planing to use 4 bolts to hold down the assblemy. But that is better. I am going to get to mine next month i got to many thing to put back together before the mowing season starts. I just got the 3 commerical mower out of storage. Boy do they need worK. From welding to engine work. AHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Most people put in their feed plots with a set of discs. A box blade will take a long time to break up the ground as the breakers only disturb a small area of the blade. Ultimately you will need to bring the soil back and forth over the area.

Interesting post Chris for me as I am still trying to pull the trigger on the larger L. I agree the hydro is much easier on mowing. As I have an old MF I know where you have been and where you are now.

YES, lift the back of the box with the top link only allowing the teeth to ingadge the ground when droping the box.

I just picked up a 7.5 model and I am dissapointed it did not come with a subframe. I have a JD model 4310 compact tractor and now I am wondering where to get this subframe. Any Ideas

The plow is not a Deere product and it is hard to tell if it is attached to the strongest part of the front end.

He does not say if the generator is JD or not but JD makes one with exactly those specs.

Is the counter weight an ice chest filled with concrete?

Assuming the generator is Deere and properly set up, I wouldn't spend more than $14,500 for the package.

Are there things he is selling here that you don't need or want?

I would think you could find conveyor chain at a company like MSC that would meet the specifications? I am not sure that info is no the web or not. It is in the cataglog to 3 inch pitch.
If not, if you post the pitch, width and diameter I can tell you if they have it, I have a 2002 catalog set.

I told him about this forum and he wants me to give him the link to it. He wants all the information he can get on the Jinmas so he can do right by his customers. His dealer tells him that out of all his dealers (25) he is the only one that has "any" problems with the Jinmas. I told him to take a look at this site and he will see that all of them will have some sort of small to medium problems from time to time.He has sold over 85 of these 2425 and have had only one besides mine with problems.The other one the man who bought it put gasoline in it (not the dealers fault). Well it is a little hard to analyse oil over the internet. I have seen gear oil go green with water if there are brass bearing or shims in the drive line (marine work). I would just replace it with a good synthetic 90 weight gear oil. If you are back in the paddies I might us a marine gear oil.

C5er..I've got a 54" mmm on my 2210 & it works great as a finish mower. I do take it off when I do other work, like loader work, etc, due to ground clearance issues when I'm off in the woods or wherever.
