For $275 plus shipping you can buy a pto spreader/seeder and spread grass seed. You will need to disk up and rough up the pasture to give the seed a good bed to start in. I just purchased one and use it to spread fertilizer and grass seed. WAAAAAAAY cheaper than an overseeder.

I'm considering either a Woods 7500 or a Bradco 3375 for my B7800. Does anyone have experience with either? I'll probably go with a sub frame mount rather than a 3pt.

The MMM is a bit of work getting it leveled out and properly adjusted to cut; but once that is done, it is not hard to remove or install at least on my 4410. (I have the John Deere 72" MMM) I use it with the 430 FEL installed and have no interference issues. The RFM is easier to install and remove but is not as adept at cutting up close and around obstacles like the MMM can. I prefer the MMM. The MMM pto demands more power from the engine since it turns at 2100 rpm vs. 540 for the rear pto. The RFM gearbox makes up the loss in blade tip speed.

Recently i broke the deck chains to my manure spreader. I have looked all over and cannot find any parts to help fix it. If anyone knows somewhere i can get these deck chains, your help would be appreciated.

A John Deere 4610/4710 or larger (maybe even a 5000 series) come to my mind considering what you plan to do. The Kubota L4630 or 5030 would be a good choice as well. A grapple would be a good choice for the FEL.

I would think that the boat bearing grease is more than adequate. What you are looking for is a non surfactant grease so that water is not drawn into the grease as the implement may sit for a while.
Li is used as the salt for the surfactant molecule therefore you do not want lithium grease. The surfactant is used in the oils to thicken it, like butter, but will draw water into it over time. This is similar to a regular motor oil and a non surfactant oil used for electric motors.
Moly disulfide is also used to thicken the oil and will coat surfaces if it gets too hot.

I have a very similar 2002 Dodge Ram 2500 SWB 4 x 4 Cummins HO. I have the 3.55 gears and am VERY happy with it. I occasionally tow the boat you can see in my profile pictures which weighs around 8,500 lbs. and have no problems at all. I also tow my trailer mowers and occasionally the 4410. Most other times I run empty. As long as I stay around 50 mph, I get about 23 mpg. I strongly recommend you get the 3.73 gears. They are a good compromise between the 3.55's and the 4.10's. I also strongly recommend you get the limited slip differential. My opinion on why no 20 inch wheels is a that they are not as strong as the 8 lug wheels. I would VERY strongly recommend you try to negotiate in the cost and installation of a "Jake Brake". They are GREAT for towing and save your vehicle brakes like you would not believe!

The 3.73's are a great choice for occasional heavy towing and regualar moderate towing. The NV5600 six speed transmission will give you enough gear ranges to choose from and you may have to shift between 5th and 6th more when towing heavy. You are getting a FINE truck with a monster pulling engine.

I use a Frontier BB1172 72" box scraper with my 4310 and couldn't be happier with it. Well built, replaceable cutting edge, and the scarifiers can be easily adjusted for depth or removed. Top-and-tilt makes it much more productive, and I can't imagine using the scraper without it.

the 4100 is for sale for $8900 with 106hrs on it, it has R 4 tires, I need a 410 loader the dealer is going to sell and install the loader for $2500 for a total of 11400. Dealer advised he sold the tractor late 2002 to early 2003. Tractor is a nine on a scale of 10 being best

I've got it Frank, a belly mounted flame thrower! We'll mount a 100 pond LP bottle on the 3pt and a weed burner under the tractor pointing out the side. You'll be able to burn as you drive (hopefully not literally!). What do you think, should we patent the idea?

Definately Cat 1. Most tractor lines do not add Cat 2 until they are over 50 HP.

I had the same prob with mine. only blew once but it took forever to figure it out. my dealer Ted at Corriher gave me the idea to check the fuse.
