It happened to a neighbour, then the guy tried to sue him.

When the neighbour's lawyer pointed out that the tree-man fell on the road allowance, therefore he fell out of a part of the tree owned by the Town, and landed on Town property, the story ended, quickly.

ha...my ex was a tree guy, and many a time i got some ideas...but yeah, they ran over a customers prize award winning show cat and got rid of the evidence in the chipper, less messy than you would have though. Note: I like cats...not my idea. That was not a good project

"How important is the slip clutch vs shear pin?"
Slip clutch will save you from replacing shear pins if you are in rough ground and hit rocks, stumps, or overtax the cutter. Get it if you can afford it, but you must keep it adjusted correctly so it can slip if needed.

"Also, can anyone explain how a stump jumper works, or what it is???" Picture a stump jumper as a bowl shaped object that sits under the cutter where the blades attach to the gearbox. Due to its shape, if you hit a stump, it will ride up over the stump rather than catching on it and breaking the gearbox.

I bought mine from a local dealer. Mark Carter of CCM (Ironpeddler) called me to help connect me with the local distributor who then called and connected me with the local dealer. His prices are higher than what is posted on CCM site, but I was dealing with two additional levels of profit to be made. I'm very satisfied with it. It sure beats the old walk behind tiller.

Green, I'll let you in on a little trick for getting better lift using Gator blades.

Cut up some windshield washer jugs and use 3M double-sided tape to stick the peices over the ends on the blades. A couple of layers of duct tape will work too, but doesn't last as long.

The plastic covers the openings in the blades and turns them into propellers. Major uplift.

Brokenarrow, I have bought from St Joseph's in La Crosse WI and was treated well. In fact my dealer sent me there to get it. They also have a site in Duluth MN. Did you buy from one of these or is there another one I don't know about?

Even if a hydrometer shows all cells good the battery could still have an internal short that would prevent it from working properly under load. The auto parts store can put a load tester on it to verify it's operation under load.

I just sold the same model you are buying and bought an RBM-60.

I had to totally re-work the hitch on the new one. It was incompatible with the hydraulic top link and too wide for the lift arms.

You should be able to make the RBT work on your 2210 even though the pin spacing is more like a Cat 2. Your sway chains pull your lift arms inward.... my chains pull the lift arms outward. If you run out of adjustment you can reverse the pins (point them inward) on the RBT. The RBM does not allow this.

Offset.... as designed, you must disassemble the blade from its mounts to offset it. I am sure that with your welding skills you can design a sliding channel into the system similar to the Mid-West blade we both admired.

Any body need a 42" landpride rotory cutter for their bx series. I have a 48" model so i don't need this one. I got it in a package deal. It came off a BX2200. See classified for more info. thanks.

my B7500 has that same lock. It wouldn't work in reverse. Which get used more around here when it snows. (my snowblowers 3pt mount) I wish kubota would fix that.

I too offer what little I can in the way of comfort.

This is a tender subject for myself also, as many of you know I too nearly lost that battle last year, and at all too young an age, not that there is a good age for medical problems. It just seems worse in a younger person.

I am still recovering, but I learned my lesson, hopefully others will too.

Please friends, see your Doctor regularly, and follow their instructions, there is NO REASON why you should not.

It's the least we can do for our loved ones......

Personally, I'm looking forward to 'no-see-um' season this year.

In fact I already informed the 'head of domestic affairs' that I was taking the 'Bota up to the lake to do a bunch of re-grading and touchups on a (relatively) new driveway that could use a little attention from the box-blade.

I can think of no better revenge for those little buggers that annoyed me for so many years than watching them beat their heads on all that glass in the cab trying to get to me...

Besides, any excuse for seat time is a good thing.

Mecheng, nice job indeed.

If I may offer a suggestion, based on past experience. If you plan on extending it out to the right, take that steel siding off in that area and replace it with plywood or stronger. There is a natural tendency to put things up against (or accidentally bump) the back wall. No use screwing up perfectly good siding, just move it out to the new exterior wall.
