Most CUT's will operate a PHA. It's mostly a ground-clearance issue. The 3ph has to lift high enough to raise the auger tip a ways off the ground. Most do, and most PHA's are adjustable.

I don't know the tractor but it's common to get implements that just cover the rear tire tracks. Usually longer blades are used to allow the to angle and still cover the tracks.

Generally some rear ballast (tire fill, 3ph weight or both) is a good idea for any loader work. How much is needed is a matter of experience and learning when things feel right. However, it's good to provide a safety margin. A tractor gets less stable on a slope if the bucket is raised. Hitting a bump can finish putting a nose heavy tractor on its nose.

You say you 'get a little noise out of it'.

Does it sound like it's labouring at all. Does the hydraulic deck lift, if so equipped, still work OK ? If so you are at least making pressure, that's half the battle.

If I were to take a stab at it blind like this, I would say there is a pressure loss. For it to occur during storage I would have to say it is likely something like a pressure relief valve spring failure.

It's the only type of blade we run. Most of the time we are cutting AS the sun comes up, the dew on the grass can make a difference in the end result, the added weight of the water discourages the blades from standing up so a little help is needed. They are also good at eliminating the odd leaf that volunteers for mulch duty.

We can't afford to have anything less than a perfect cut, every time.

It should be easy enough as a do it yourself project. The JD Fundamentals of Service-Hydraulic manual is a decent introduction to basic principles.

My tractor came with one rear outlet and I wish it had two (but I guess it's not a big enough issue for me to see if I can find another valve section for my British made valve assembly). I'd use the 3ph tilt when cutting side-grades such as road crowns. I have a forklift with carriage tilt that requires two valve-controlled outlets. When I use the forklift I have to steal the loader bucket valve.

Grinder, while this particular product seems to be made from ABS, instead of steel or fiberglass as most to date have been, I can tell you, sunshade canopies and trees do NOT mix well.

In fact almost without exception when trees and canopies tangle, the trees win.

If you decide to go with such a product be sure to put some form of barrier around it, or stay way back from branches.

I had much the same experience. My neighbour well line froze several times last winter. He got really aggravated after the guy with the steamer was out three times and he got me to use the loader to cover the area with snow. His idea may have been a little bigger than necessary and we ended up with an 8' mountain next to his house.

A month later and he started wondering if he'd get water in the basement so I tried to remove the snow. What worked best is what Wildman descried (I may have used a bit of bucket curl as well). However, I don't have a tooth bar and the idea would have taken all day--at least. We called it to a halt after about an hour and waited for warmer weather to soften the snow and then took it out with a blower. A tooth bar would have made short work of it I think.

I'm not aware of N.A. Shibaura dealers but there might be some. I'm also not aware of any part number x-ref manuals. So help eh? There are people who specialize in importing parts from Japan and that may be your best bet. The bright side is that tractors are pretty durable shouldn't need many parts.

I wonder if the Woods blade could be fitted with a scarifier bar? I'm not sure if the blade angle can be adjusted to a scraping action like a box but if the blade has end plates it will do most of what a box will do plus angles, offsets and tilts. It wouldn't have a rear cutter though and it may not be as heavy as a box. Weight is good since it determines whether the blade will cut hard ground. Abbeywood's comment is good to keep in mind and I find that heavy cuts with just the blade aren't great in turns.

I'm not sure what the ground is like but my box cuts compacted pit run OK without scarifiers. If I use them on long grades the box fills up too fast. What I do use them for is for short shallow excavations when I want to remove a bunch of material over a short distance. I think of them mostly as a supplement to the blade angle for adjusting how fast the box fills and I want them ober the full length of the cutter.

I haven't had to do loosening and grading as separate operations. I don't think they'd be too useful for drive maintenance since ordinarily the ground beneath the finish material shouldn't be disturbed.

I would think if a hit and run was "caught" on video tape that the person or persons insurance would cover court costs and other related costs along with the repair bill. It obviuosly was intent to harn or destroy by their simply driving away. Wouldn't be so if ther person waited and said I damamged your vehicle.

Brokenarrow: I can't comment much on Roundup, but I do have a Fimco sprayer with 50 gal tank and 12 V electric pump. I have had it for three years and am very happy with it. If it is not to late to get a larger tank, I strongly suggest you spend the extra money and get at least a 25 gal tank, and with 10 acres, I would definitely get a 50 gal tank. I think I paid about $750.00 for my setup three years ago.

I recently acquired a L210 tractor. I cannot get the tractor to start on it's own it will pull start but will not fire on starter alone. It's suppose to have new glow plugs has new battery the starter has been rebuilt. The glow plugs appear to work but not real well there is a coil under the fuel tank that smokes when you activate the plugs. How are you suppose to use the decompression valve?<br>

It may be overkill, but with the low prices of those instant read point-and-shoot infrared thermometers it may be worth using one to track tire temperatures. Measuring the temperature at the shoulders and various points in between will tell you how evenly the tire is carrying the load.

To some extent I disagree with the statement about R1 tires. They are far better in mud than R4s or turf tires, but when you get in the really soft squishy stuff the R1s have problems too. I found R4s to be lousy even in the dry clay we have here. If you live in a place like western Oregon where it rains 8 months out of the year you can't afford to wait for the soil to dry out. <br>

I believe a 755 is only 20 HP, I can't imagine cutting in a driveway with that. My drive was cut in with a dozer then 2x3 limestone for a base followed by #73 limestone, I think a 755 would have a heart attack before you got much done.

Your post is very informative regarding the bucket types. I will look closer at the bucket ( I was on it all weekend and bone tired now !!) It may be after all a Standard 61" but it is made very well and dosent show any weaknesses
(no flex at all).
I looked at my invoice and no mention of any "HD" bucket
(I never asked for one either).
I was initally concerned with the size and really went over it with the dealer, and was reassured by them. I trust them and they have a good rep. The machine works great with the bucket, and it lets me know if I'm over doing it :)
The work goes quick with the extra size thats for sure...

Wish I could help more but I've got to say the same thing as I did in the Shibarua parts post below. If I recall, several cross over models have been identified in the past by others. If nobody has the answer the archives may help.
