I've never known which models cross so I'm not much help there. Too bad I have 10-series manuals for my 1710 that won't do a lot of good. I do know that the cross-overs are mostly for the engines and even those are not entirely identical. Rounding up some actual Shibaura parts support might be good.

I found a JD 755 with 592 hrs. it has a model 42 front loader and a 5' box blade on the back. looks well used but in good condition. What would I expect to pay.
I am planning on using it around the house landscaping and and preparing a base for a new drive way, also a little work on clearing some land. If this is tooo small what would you suggest.

I have 285-75R-16 load range D tires on my 2002 Dodge Ram Cummins. Max inflation pressure is 60 which I run in the fronts all the time due to the weight of the engine. In the rears, I run 45 psi. (I have a short bed & not that much weight is on the rear tires empty) When I haul heavy such as this last week when I picked up 50 50lb. bags of fertilizer; I run 60 psi. You just have to work with the pressures to see which gives you the best tire foot print and wear pattern under the current load. Since you have the load range E tires; I would suggest 80 psi in front and a similar pressure as I stated above depending upon load, only I would go to 80 psi when hauling heavy.

WOW, I guess I will have to do a little unpacking with the sprayer. The box says roundup ready so I guess I will need to see how far I can go on the 15 gal. tank. Its not to late to get a 25 galloner. Thanks for the input.

At least one rear scv for a hydraulic top link or a back hoe later down the road and the mid- pto if you plan on a powerbroom or jd snow blower.

As You asked for ANY Thoughts :) I'd go for more than one remote while You're taking the trouble to install it .
You can then have top link control ,as well as tilt control . I only had my tractor plumbed for one valve . But i should have gone for at least 2 remotes . John

Royalstar: I've got about the same rig as what you are looking at. There are some pictures on my website which may be of interest to you. I have neither the wheel-weights or ballast on my tractor and have not had a problem with traction or instability. 4wd is a wonderful thing. Nah, a little surprised through. Didn't notice the thread until too late I guess. Thought it would be worthwhile expounding on annealing though. There seemed to be some confusion. My mother always told me speak when spoken to. Still don't know what that means.

Code3 I understand what you are saying but the truth is Case is owned by New Holland so the NH guys really didn't lose out--sort of like buying a Mercury to get back at the Lincoln dealer---it's still a Ford!

Yes it will do the work you are asking about But as long as it not a real hard servis, it`s a light duty tractor and you have to operate it that way , I have 1401d and cleared, level, and graded, my drive way with it and I`m pleased with the power it has.

Dear M.Young, Having had several Cub Cadets in the family business I can tell you that one could do much worse. But be advised, the current Cub Cadets have absolutely NOTHING to do with International the manufacturer. Today's Cubs are manufactured for MTD by various foreign and domestic suppliers like Mitsubishi and Kioti. When the time came to buy another, I looked hard at the new 8000 series Cubs (re. Kioti DK40 & DK45) and decided on a Deere, mainly because of better features and dealer support.

Just wondering if anybody has tried Gator Blades on their mower. They are an after market mower blade that is supposed to have a better lift and mulch effect on grass. How well do they work and how much do they cost?

boltej; When you say sealed for life do you mean that there is no where on the hydro unit to check the fluid level or add fluid to it? Was there fluid on the floor where the tractor sat for the winter? Like Art mentioned most hydro mowers have a disengage lever or pull rod you can use to unhook the transmission to make it easier to push around with a dead motor. Perhaps a stuck valve in the system. Does it have a filter? tell us more we'll try to help. Frank.

The first two numbers on the Kubota's is the gross engine horsepower. The Case-IH tractors use the two numbers to tell the horsepower.

Kenny you are picking up a couple of inches of wheelbase from the four cylinder engine but that is about it. The plus would be leverage with a loader as well as extra power for PTO work.
