I have just purchased a used AgraCat 3720. Unfortunately I immediatly broke my exhaust manifold and have been unable to locate as parts supplier? Can you help? I am in Leesburg, Virginia.

I have an L3130 with the LA723. They are a good match. I don't think the price difference between it and the smaller loader was very much. I think the 723 is the only way to go unless you absoulutly can't afford to pay the difference.

In the local saw shop recently and the dealer mentioned he had a 2 cycle oil that can be mixed at 100:1 and used in any 2 cycle equipment regardless of the recommended mix. He said it was synthetic. Any experience or thoughts appreciated.

Not to be picky, but in the interest of clarity..... on the BX22 when you detached the loader you left the valve (3 way or 4 way) behind on the loader .

If you needed it to run a blade, blower or broom you had to pull some pins and re-attach it to the tractor in a separate operation.

On the BX23 it stays on the upright support when you dismount the loader. This is a very nice feature and much cleaner to deal with as compared to handling a bunch of greasy pins.

Vince, the woods BB with manually ( lever operated) scarifiers , and the Rhino with hyd scarifiers are within about 50 bucks of each other (from my dealer ). Thereason I want either hyd or lever operated scarifiers is I'm lazy . I can't getting off the machine and pinning six to eight teeth up or down when I need to use them , when all I have to do is pull a lever or move a handle . :)I'm willing to pay for the added convenience . If I add the price of the woods or Rhino rake , it comes out close to the same as the YORK Rw with all the goodies .On it's plus side it's like having two tools in one. The minus is that it's relativelt light ,and the scarifier is only 5 feet wide which is less than the width of my tractor . The York R1 is WAY to expensive ($ 4 K.) As far as usage ... I've got around 800 ft of gravel drive that always needs attention ,Lots of brush ,etc that needs to be moved ,and more rocks than I care to think about that need to be gathered up . As for the tnt .... I was not thinking when I ordered my machine . I only got one remote . Should have gone with all three . That will be remedied when I get the 50 hr service . I'm going to have them add the other two valves . I believe I'll talk over the price of the tnt actuators at the same time .<br>
Seeing as I'm servicing , buying attachments ,and adding remotes all at the same time I might be able to get some break on the pricing . At least that's what I'm hoping for . That's why I posted the original question . I want to be as specific as possible when it comes time to talk prices . John

The 46 and 47 backhoes can interchange buckets, but I am pretty sure the 48 hoe is up in another class and runs a completely separate series of buckets.

Denno, You are correct that the loader buckets are all interchangeable between the 410, 420, and 430 loaders. The part numbers for the standard buckets are the same for all three loaders: 49" = BW14144; 53" = BW14145; 61" = 14146, etc. The HD buckets are not lsited as compatible with the 410 loader for the reasons you describe, but I don't see anything wrong with using an HD bucket on a 410 loader except that it adds cost and machine weight, and you lose a few pounds of material weight capacity. The HD bucket part numbers are identical for the 420 and 430 loaders. Technically, you could put a 73" bucket (BW14147) on a 410 loader, but that would be a big mistake unless you were scooping cotton candy, chicken feathers, or fairy dust. Any substantial lateral weight too far outside of the tractors stance width would make it unstable--the 4110/4100 is too light for that width, even when properly ballasted. I do believe one way to identify an HD bucket is the removeable/replaceable cutting edge (I could be wrong, though). All of the buckets have wear plates and rigid cutting edges. Pete

The weather people seem to spend most of their lives in small, windowless rooms staring at computer screens while the real weather is outdoors. I frequently observe them saying what the weather currently is while looking outdoors and seeing what must be a different world. There ought to be a law that all weather people have windows in their offices.

I just posted looking for history on Ventracs. I have a steiner 410 and have a wet area in the spring. I just avoid it because the machine and deck in heavy. (about 1400 lbs)It will make small ruts. If you used duals on either machine it probably be better than another other machine on the planet. I've owned my steiner since 96 and its been a great machine. I've had two repairs which I wasn't happy about but machines are machines. Having owned a steiner the Ventrac apears to be what a cadilac is to a chevy. The Steiner brother's built the ventrac to improve on the machines they previously built which was the Steiner line. I have toured both factories and was really impressed with the improvement that ventrac made. The main thing is the oil filtration and having the tank above the pump to avoid any chance of pump scavanging air. Plus, from the driver standpoint its much more comfortable. I only drove the ventrac in the dealers parking lot compared to the 300 hours on my steiner. Bottom line for me is unless someone has a compelling story against the Ventrac I am trading in my Steiner. By the way I live on a steep hill and bars tires will slide sideways as you progess forward. The new tire design from Ventrac was designed to avoid that.
