If you like the TYM and Branson, also look at the Mahindra. TYM builds the Mahindra 10 series. Also look at Century, as they are built ny Branson (Kukje actually). Nice units. I'd probably lean toward the brand that is best supported by dealers in your area.

I'm a Branson/Mahindra dealer, so I know a little about these models. You can't go wrong with any of them!

i LOVE what is happening here in regard to your post. i bought from corriher (live in sc), got a great price & have had only minor difficulties since i bought my tc33d w/fel & backhoe. there,HOWEVER, are a few things that i have had to forego; 1)my fel is weak, needs adj., but i can't afford to have it trucked to nc to have it tested. the local dealer (still po'd because i bought elsewhere,) won't help. 2)a hydraulic hose blew out, i called corriher to get one shipped to replace it, was told, "well just go somewhere & buy one." - which i ended up doing, but it should have been covered by warranty.... and, there are other things, but that's not the point of this post.
the thing i really like is that local dealers are reading & replying to your need for a new tractor. if a LOCAL dealer sees he can cut a few dollars & gain a lifetime customer, EVERYBODY WINS> i hope you can find a local dealer who will give you a good price & take care of you.
let me end this long dissertation with this - if i had to buy from a "long distance" dealer, corriher is the one i'd go with, ted works hard to please his customers. but, there is something to be said to buying from someone you can go see tomorrow if you just need a little tlc. - my 2 pennies

I second the starter drive clutch is bad.
My 850 did the same thing a few years ago, had a new drive clutch assembly installed.
Problem solved.

Picked up a 58" CCM tiller today. Appears to be well made and works well in my initial test runs thru the garden. Only problem I had was the fact that the PTO shaft had to be very short, but I finally worked that out (I have a JD 790, and the 3 pt. arms aren't very long, so it sits pretty close to the tractor).

What threw me off was my 2n,9n,8n manual, they lump em all together and sometimes are very vague about which diagram is which. I was looking at the 8n diagram that has spacers. The 9n's dont. That cleared up a whole lot. The other night I was looking at her thinking to myself, "Hmmm do I really want to do this?" Naturally, after (not) "sleeping on it" LOL. Being the somewhat perfectionest In my own mind that I am I decided to do it right and not cut any corners. I disasembled the front end , the radiator was already off anyway and took the whole unit in to work yesterday leaving at 4am. I
worked my normal 10 hour shift and at 3pm I started on my project.
I was able to press out the center pin with out any heat, (alot of blocking and alot of force). I was not to happy to find nothing was usable again. I went to work and found that the 2 holes holding the center pin were dissimilar .008 different. I made anouther pin using 4130 pre-hard measuring 1.7585 on one end 3/4" long and the rest of the pin was .751, 3.770 long. I then went to the arm and found that there was a crack half way thru the center. After doing some sparking tests and "ringing" tests I decided that it was a cast steel and not cast iron Phewww this makes it easier. I "V" grooved the crack and penetrated a good weld after pre-heating it to around 400 degrees (just incase it was a nightmere). Came out wonderfull. I then went to my cnc mill and milled out a new hole 2.166 in diameter. That also came out great cleaned up just about the whole piece that was really oblong!!!. I then took out a piece of AMPCO 18!!! bronze, all I had was one that was 3" so I had alot of turning to do. I bored a whole 1.754 2.5" long and then turned the o.d. to 2.164 Perfect fit. Guess what? It all came together just like I planned! I now have a new semi-hard pin and a real thick bronze bushing. This should last about as long as I live and maybe my kids also! I did not put any grease fittings in for fear of dirt/sand gettin in there and speeding up the wear process (also figured it lasted 50+ years before with out em) Anyway I left work at 8:00 pm. I think I kicked butt!! 5 hours and a pefect job.
BTW, it was steel on steel before.

I got a 42" landpride for sale right now. (see classifieds) The guy i bought it from had it on a Bx2200 but the first he used it was on a B6100. (he new Bx2200 was still on order) He claimed he didn't have problems with it. The Landprides are build heavier than the KK. I have a 48" model on my B7500. I bought it in a package deal and have no need for it since i own a 48".

I just bought a new 7610 with a 60 belly mower. I mow some fairly steep side hills. My old Ferguson tractor had a wide stance and water filled wheels. I felt OK from a roll over standpoint. The new tractor has the wheels as wide as they go. It seems to have a higher center of gravity. Any downside to filling the tires with water? Do you put a tube in the tire , then fill the tube? I've heard of antifreeze mixture or calcium carbonate. Does anyone have an opinion on which is better?

Paladin: sorry for your bad experience. Please don't let that sour you on considering a diesel in the future!! They have come so far since then! My TDI is such a great little car (45-50mpg and all the power needed to go 100+ mph). Yes the older ones have trouble getting out of their own way, but my 86 still gets 40+ mpg at 250k miles!

I hope that Jeep does this diesel, I will buy one at least!

Check my site for my diesel collection. Look for the link on to how to run vegtable oil in a diesel motor. Not biodiesel, but regular veggie oil! If Detroit would get in on this it could help out so many farmers and we could thumb our noses at OPEC!!

AG tires aren't wierd! The standard tires are AGs aren't they? I think while R4s are trendy, AGs actually deliver traction in soil. But hey, that's just me.

Dennis, you phrased it as a choice between "more readable" and the "dense format".

For me, it's not either/or: the denser format is more readable to me. It is also more compact, so I can see more active topics at a time.

Having it all strung out with a lot of blank space is not more readable to these 50+ eyes...
