The 4310 also has better ground clearance than the 4210 (mostly due to larger wheels and tires). That's very handy for working in the woods...

I went in looking at a 4210, but one of my main needs was the 59" front-mount snowblower. The dealer told me the 4210 would drive it, but would bog down. The 4310 handles it with ease.

The 430 loader was another push for me to go to the 4310. The 430 is not only a 'stronger' loader, it has more versatility in buckets and other attachments.

Finally, the larger hydraulic flow on the 4310 is a big plus -- especially if you want to drive things like log splitters off of the power beyond.

I had a Craftsman by century 115volt welder. It drove me nuts, would weld differently every time. Muilt passes on anythig over a 1/8". So i went and bought a commerical rig. The holbart company is owned by miller. The ironman 210 and the millermatic 210 has a $350 price difference. The miller has heavier electonics and gun. I had the dealer take the sides off both machines to get a look at inside. The Miller is commerical/industry duty while the Holbart is hobby/farm duty. Millers only avaible through a dealer, holbart can be bought any where.

You make the most profit per lawn the closer you are to your shop. Since you not making money driving to the shop and back. Plus driving from each job. You spending gas, mileage on the truck, employees riding in truck, insurance, etc. Each of us do most of the houses with in 1 mile of our shops. Most don't even want to leave this area just to cut one lawn, so thats why there is a 10% price increase. I could run my mowers from the first house to last house i do with out driving a total of a mile round trip. I used to not even take my trailer to some jobs. I got 4 other outside companies out side of my friends who cut grass in my neighorhood. I still come in less then them.

Could go with a compact and a post hole digger, would be easy on the grass and should still be cheaper than a hoe.

Thanks, I'll look into the tubes. I work for a steel fabricator so this is a language I'm familiar with. The price of structural and rolled steel shapes has gone up 75% since January. If you need some steel for anything, you better hurry. Scrap rates ( what structural shapes are cast from )have jumped to over $200/ton. Time to clean out the back 40 !!

Need the serial number from the tractor. Manufacturing date can be traced from the serial number.

Those old laserjets take a lot of juice. I have a network print buffer driving mine, so I generally leave the printer off and turn it on only to print. Takes a minute to warm up, but it prints a heck of a lot faster than any inkjet.

Hey all; I am in the market for a compact tractor, used. I saw a Kubota L2250 for sale but after searching for info, have come up empty. Can anyone give me advice about this tractor? I have 3 acres and plan to use it for moving dirt, gardening, lawn care/snow. The price they are asking is $9200 for 72" front blade, 60" belly mower, 26.5 HP and a 3 pt. hitch PTO. Any advice or comments would be most appreciated. thanks.

My LB1914 came with Goodyear Soft Trac Terra Tires 36x13.5x15NHS. They must not make them any more because I am having a tough time finding them. Anyone had to replace yours and if so, what did you use? Thanks.

Thanks again for all the advice. I had tried Northern but they are out of the PTO kit and I was hoping to find the same pump from the manufacture or another source.
I currently use my 3 inch ditch pump with a loop back system to drain off most of the pressure and that leaves me with a nice strong stream for spraying. The problem is it's just too big. Dragging a 2 inch hose 25 feet long charged with water gets old fast so I was hoping to downsize the whole system to lighten the workload.

I was fascinated by the BX23 as well. If it wasn't for the ground clearance I would have had one. It's more a residential machine, meaning, for smoother contours and relatively flat working spaces. Sure you can get it into many places and get it out because of the b-hoe. I am enjoying the 12" clearance underneath as my 5 acres are a bit rustic.
Art's point on the backhoe hire-out is right on the mark. We have opted to not ad the "auto $6K" for backhoe and hire someone to do the little I will need. The great thing is that I can always get a backhoe for my rig later if I want. The B series ractors are mighty nice. Ours is perfect for us.

I spoke to the Wilson plant today.The hoe's are do in this month,about 30 of them.The hoe's I saw in New Hampshire are previous orders going to Allentown.

I think JB Weld is the most fantastic stuff ever invented. I just used it on a Rockwell Hardness Tester's 2000.00 dollar load cell that had a ball screw that backed out and buggered up some threads. Filled up the hole with Jb weld and retapped it and it has been running for over 2 years without backing out. fantastic. I also used it to "bed" the barrel of a .243 I have, and it also has worked flawlessly. I have used it to seal new hammer handles to hammer heads and it has perforemd flawlessly too. Can't say enough about that stuff. If you haven't got some go get some SOON. The sooner the better.
