From the information posted and talking to the dealer the TC55da appears to be a new tractor. The tractor is a larger and heavier frame then the TC45. It is lighter than the TN and the new TT models.

I just ordered a B7610 with the folding ROPS. It is an extra $150 USD option, but, I was able to get it. Tractor is scheduled to arrive this week.

Billy, you're right nobody seemed agree on where the top hook on the Cat 1 quick coupler should be. I ended up getting a Land Pride quick coupler which features an adjustable top hook that can easily be moved up or down by pulling a couple pins to match the top pin on the hitch of the impliment you want to hook up. So far I haven't found anything it won't match.

I think I'd tried every type of EZ out known to man along with every cuss word in the dictonary till a seasoned mechanic friend of mine told me to get a set of left hand drill bits. Usually by the time you've worked your way up to the biggest bit that won't destroy the threads in the casting the hollow shell of the bolt threads conmes out with the drill bit. Hope this helps.

According to tractortips the last year for the 870 was 1996, and your serial number places it as a 1993.

Well it has been a great ride but it looks like I have may answer in the link from the U of Tenn. :

"Toyota uses a red antifreeze in many of its products and should not be confused with the orange type long life antifreezes. it is essentially the green type of antifreeze that contains red dye to give it the red color."

So what I have is the Toyota Red version of the old green standby. Now I know what to get.

We sell a lot of forks that just attach to the bucket and for the most part seem to be helping most everyone with them. Sometimes the costs do workout that makes it so to have a normal type from a skid steer but not normally.

Shortmagnum: It was an Oldsmobile 350 which GM mutilated to a diesel. So sad. Diesel is the only way!! VW has also been making aluminum diesels for ever. My 86 has an aluminum head with iron block, 2001 TDI is all aluminum I think.

Paul, it is also very important to match the thumb's hydraulic demands to the psi and gpm of your machine, that is, provided you are interested in the hydraulic type. There are some thumbs that just pin in place and can be removed or folded flat on the dipper stick when not in use. If you go with the hydraulic type, you will have to decide how the flow is going to get to the thumb, where you are going to mount the control valve (where it won't interfere with other controls), and that location should be well out of range of the boom's full range of motion.

I just acquired an MT372 that has some clutch problems-not sure how bad yet. It also needs a wiring harness. Anyone have any info on good places to get parts for it? Just trying to see if it will be worth repairing, or if it goes to ebay in pieces. If worse came to worse, what will a new clutch/pressure plate setup cost?

Thanks everyone for their imput. Last night I found the problem. It was a fusible link attached to my starter and main battery cable. Took about ten minutes to fix and get the thing up and running.

sshuma, as to your question about making implements iMatch compatible. I have experienced four problem areas on Cat-1 implements with iMatch (not that there aren't more, but...)

First, the vertical distance between the top and lower pins needs to be about 15" (not sure of exact dimension). Often implements are more like 18".

Second, the top and bottom pins need to be approximately in the same vertical plane. I have a Jinma chipper whose top pin is about 6" rearward from the bottom pins and that causes a problem.

Third, when the bottom pins of the implement are properly located in the iMatch adapter there has to be enough room for the cams to move out to lock the pins in place. I had some Rankin forks whose brackets interered with these cams.

Fourth, on some implements the pins are too close to the ground to allow the iMatch to drop down low enough to pick up. This is an inconvenience if you have to lift the implement up to get it onto the iMatch adapter and defeats the ease-of-use feature of the quick hitch.

Also, the bottom pins have to be spaced 26" apart - I haven't found this to be a problem but it might be on some implements.

The solution to these problem may be simple to impossible. I have a 3-point carry all and a welder charged me $50 to relocate the bottom pins and fabricate a new top pin bracket. The same guy is charging me $75 to modify the Jinma chipper to work with iMatch. In the case of my pallet forks the dealer is trading them for forks from a different manufacturer. If you have a welding shop in your area you might stop in and talk to them about it.

The iMatch is great, but if you have incompatible implements there is a hassle factor up front. Once fixed, though, it sure is nice to use.

First thing I would like to thank every body who took time to send responses to my problem. The loader is not affected at all by the 3 pt hitch problem. The snow blower is 6 ft wide, it was installed by the snow blower shop and not by the Kobota dealer.
