Thumbs are a dime a dozen for most any model you would like. The off make are most often far less money then the major manufacturers are. The warrantee might have more to be read then the obvious as for things that small it would more then likely be a dealer call.

The 2240 is an excellent tractor. It is considered a utility tractor and not a compact. It has 50 pto horsepower, collar shift or synchro tranny, and wet brakes. There were two versions of this tractor. Earlier ones were before 350,000 serial number. These I think were built from 1977 and 1980. Early and late versions were good, but the later ones had some improvements in hydraulics and power train. Some variations were available with a hi-lo shift, hydraulic reverser and independent pto as options. Let me know if you have any other specific questions.

Sorry, these guys are a little suspicious. The prices you talked about are good prices and reflect an average selling price for the Lenar, at least all the ones I have noticed. Good luck in you tractor endeavors!

Hey guys,
I have a 4 horse trailer with a full living quarters, A/C bath, shower, kitchen, etc. It is 28ft. on the floor. Steel frame aluminum skin. The GVRW on it is 10,000 lbs. I pull it with a 1999 F250 super duty w/ the Power stroke and the auto trans. The only things I did to the truck was add 1 leaf to the rear springs and reprogramed the computer. I haven't had a bit of problems pulling all over the country. Even thru the hills of Missouri. I do have the B & W hitch on the truck. It does a great job and I,ve pulled in all kinds of weather.

I thought the B-2410 still offered it but I might be mistaken as there was a lot discussed at the meetings. The unit was not the most popular option as most people don't need it and 400 dollars is 400 dollars!

only diff I can see in the hood is the small raise toward the rear where the guage pod is, it does not slope down like the LE and the older models and there are some signal lts on the side of the hood also.

Sometimes it is nice to have a couple different hooks, maybe a loose grab in the middle and a chain link hook on each end. Sometimes it works best to have a link or loop before the hook on the bucket so the hook can hange freely when the bucket is rolled. My Dad used to have hooks on the back side of his bucket also so the load would be lifted closer to the tractor and you could pick up more weight that way.

Sounds like you have a leak small enough to get away with when the viscosity of the oil is high from being cold. This type of leak could be in the spool or in the piston seal. Have you had this problem before you purchased the blower, and can you determine if the hissing is in the valve body or the cylinder case? The cold/hot cycle in this weather can be tough on the piston seals. Have you run the 3-point before the tractor has come to operating temperature? We can figure this out with a little more background.

Depending on what you are cutting you should have a mower wider then the tractor. If your mowing is easy then you might even be able to run a seven foot or at least a six foot. There are a lot of good mowers in the market just buy one that is made to cut what needs to be mowed. You don't need to buy something made to cut 2" tree's when maybe the finish mower you have might also cut it with the wheels raised!

I have a BX23 that came with a 10" bucket as well. I to could make good use of a 6" bucket. I live in the San Joaquin Valley in Central Ca. Soil conditions are ideal for the 6". Most of my trenching is for small pvc irrigation. <br>

I have a 1946 JD Model B that was delivered to Boone Iowa on 9/12/1946. I am looking for the dealer's name so I can track the life of the tractor. I know the factory information about the tractor, but I am looking for the information of the owners or any information on how to track them. <br>

I agree with brokenarrow. Give a new model line time to break in and get some of the bugs and gremlins worked out. Even jet engines need time to mature.

Yes I usually rub that area but I think I need to work at it a little better. And I am going to try to get his ears flapped back to help it dry out. Those big floppy ears are on of his main problems in drying out.<br>

We are trying one of my daughters elastic headbands to hold his ears back. We are up to ten minutes so far, I guess we will just have to see.<br>

I will have to check on the sizing. I found a good deal on an import tractor that is the right size but want it shod on turfs, R4 or combination thereoff. I need to make sure I can trade them out without making the deal a little sour.

There's almost certainly a main fuse for all the aux circuits. On my 1710 it's a fusible link. Links look like a fat section of wire, and mine is buried somewhere in a wiring harness. Good chance the main fuse is popped and if it's a link it won't be found on the fuse block. Sorry I don't have manuals for the 20's or I'd be able to say where to look or even say for sure if it's a link.

I have not seen any bites, but losts of lady bugs.
Neither species have few natural predators, like the Monarchs they are red and taste bad. A predator normally only tastes one. I remember feeding one to a turtle and no more. Birds quickly get the message.
