My parents Olds van came with the pink antifreeze and I think it is the extended life stuff that doesn't have to be changed for a 100,000 miles. I thought that most stores carried it. I think it is more expensive as well.

A woman on our breeder's mailing list had a bulldog with chronic ear problems and she said an ear rinse called "Epi-Otic" cleared it right up. We had a miniature poodle we used it on, too, and it seemed to work well.

Thanks to all who responded to my wheel slippage situation. My mowing pattern was to use my paved driveway for turn arounds to reduce wear on the grass. This worked well with my previous mower(Honda 4 wheel drive and 4 wheel steer)(Eight seasons same tires)
The 2210 will dictate staying on the grass and slow wide turns. Problem is slopes on my property demand mowing in four wheel drive. The other problem is I really like the rest of this tractor.

Craig,
You will have seperate levers. One lever raises and lowers your 3 pt hitch lower arms. The other lever controls oil flow to the rear outlets.(two couplers - one for oil going out, the other for oil comming back in)

The Hoelscher unit is a pull type blade but the hitch hooks to a Cat I three point hitch. You can raise and lower the front of the unit with your 3 pt hitch. The blade has hydraulic tilt to clean out ditches, etc. It can also be manually angled for pulling gravel back into the center of your drive. This unit works better than a 3 pt mounted blade. The blade is mounted in the middle of a massive frame that is almost 10 foot long. The back of this frame is sitting on two 26" tires. As the tractor goes up and down (from going in holes and driving over piles of dirt or gravel) the blade doesn't follow the same up and down path, but leaves a nice smooth surface. It makes a great tool to grade a driveway. However it is costly. For more information you can call Darrel Hoelscher at 620-562-3575.

I use a 512K T1 line at work. At home I have DSL that generally measures about 220K. These speeds are in both directions. I have had cable modems over the years, but I am far enough out in the boonies now that there will probably never be cable TV there. I was on one of the first pilot installations that Cox did with cable modems and I had speeds of 10Mb (download at least). Now some cable companies are often limiting bandwidth to about 350K to preserve their overall capabilities and to keep customers from noticing speed variations during busy times.

I would suggest you take a close look at both units.
Kubota makes a good tractor. I would never argue that they don't. And I am sure anyone who purchases a Kubota would be satisfied. However, if you look at the L48, I think what you will find is Kubota takes a compact tractor and adds a loader and backhoe and there you have it. Not alot of difference. If you look at the JD 110 TLB you will find a much heavier "Industrial" unit over the standard 4610. The front axle, the Backhoe and Loader units are all heavier. These are made more for the commercial customer who uses them all day, every day.

I am new to tractors and am thinking of purchasing a used Kubota B2150 HFT, The tractor has 362 hrs. on it and comes with the following items: Rototiller, Bush hog, mowing deck, leaf catcher, scraper blade, 3 75 lb. weights on the front. It also has new Turf Tires on the front that have 1 hr. on them. The price for all of this is $10,000.00. I was wondering if this is a good price and if anyone can tell me if they have had any problems with this tractor. Also later I am planning to add a Front Bucket if this is possible. Any information that you can give me will be greatly appreciated. Thanks , Tim

In the process of building out a new golf course we often have to clear MANY acres of trees.

Since the owners of the development cant make any money until people are playing on the course time is critical. We often have situations where the land has been cut by lumber companies to extract the prime timber, then we have to deal with everything else. Anything saleable as firewood is shipped off-site, everything else goes in the compost pile.

We also do land clearing, storm cleanup, and line clearing for the Electric companies to keep the equipment busy as much as possible. I would LOVE to be able to get paid $3,000 an acre, we only average after selling the wood , but also have to deal with the stumps for that.

I think the average person would be pretty hard-pressed to do it themselves for anything less than that.

Here in New England we are experiencing the wholesale destruction of hemlocks due to the Asian wooly adelgid. The Asian lady bugs are predators of the adelgid and we landscapers use them when homeowners are reluctant to use insecticidal soap spray. It takes about two years for the lady bugs to get a thirty foot hemlock under control, that is, provided they don't fly away, which of course, they naturally do to our great dissatisfaction.

The used forks are a good idea, but for the average CUT, and especially a sub-CUT, there could be a problem.

Even a small forklift would be capable of lifting 2 tons. that means the forks are too, that means the forks are built between twice and eight times heavier than they need to be. The more the forks and frame weigh, the less 'payload' the whole setup will have.

I made up such a set a few years ago for someone, the base plate and forks together came to a little over 500 pounds. If you consider that the unit only had a 1,500 pound FEL on it ther goes 1/3 of your total lift capacity. If you consider that a sub-CUT probably only has about 500 pounds of lift on the FEL then you need to be REALLY careful about keeping the weight down.

Properly gusseted, 3" or 4" 'C' channel would be fine for that sort of weight.

Woods are the best overall. But i have a landpride because i bought it used at $500. What ever the width of the tractor is should be the width of the brush cutter.

Stay away $5000 is a scam or stolen.

I got the best deal over everybody else on this site who owns a B7500w/loader,mower for $9000. I got it for that price because i knew the former owner. He really wanted to help me out. Unless you know the owner personally, do not buy. If you have looked at it, get the serial number and have it checked out.

B7500 used usally goes for the $13,000 to $13,500 range in that set up. You will not find a used hoe anywhere for a B7500. There are $6000 new and woods/bushhog aftermarket hoes run $5500 new. I need one badly.

Actually if you READ my post I said I use a standard cylinder, NOT a tie-rod cylinder and I have no leak-down with it, even when my 1,000 pound box-blade is hanging from it.

If the control valve allows leak-down then there is a problem and it should be fixed.

The cylinder I used was rated for 3,000 psi, it is a 3" x 20" and was made in the good ole' US of A ... and it cost me about $125 complete with lines and quick couplers. Any hydraulics shop will make you one up if you're unsure about doing it yourself.

It sure does sound like a slipping clutch. About the only simple thing I can think of to check is the linkage and adjustment. If the pedal isn't returning to the top or there is insufficient free play at the top of travel then the clutch may not be fully engaged. An owner's manual should describe any adjustments required.

I don't know if the clutch has a hydraulic assist but that might be something else to check. If it's a dry clutch and there is a removable splash pan you might be able to see what's going on.

Figure a pan for the bottom of the Deere to keep the lines in tack. They look really nice the way they are under the tractor, they have caused a lot of trouble when getting into low ground clearance situations. The L-48 is a bit more machine than the 110 much the same as the L-35 being a little smaller yet.

I believe I got a pretty good deal on my tractor. I purchased it from Goss Tractor in Jasper, GA. I have bought equipment and supplies from Goss for several years, but this is my first tractor purchase. The folks at Goss are very friendly and seem to be knowledgeable about their product line. I would recommend them to anyone in the market for a Kubota. Bear in mind though, that I have not had any service work done by Goss, so I can't comment of how they would treat you on warranty/service issues. I have no reason to think that they would not treat you right, just do not have any experience, so I can't say for sure.

I shopped around in the north GA area, and bought from Goss because they are located around ten miles from our home. Mason Tractor in Blue Ridge offered to match Goss' price, as did a guy in Rome - I can't remember the name of his dealership. Regardless of where you buy, I believe you will be pleased with the B7800.
