You certainly can! Most of mine were done that way. The only thing you have to do is to scan them at a low resolution, as Dennis has a 30K maximum size limit for each picture. If you have pics larger than 30k, there is software on this site to make the pic comply. I use XV on my computer to manipulate the picture before posting, as I like to see how it looks beforehand.

I agree with what Peters said. Also you may want to check your goose neck hitch rating. Many older ones are only rated for 10,000 pounds.

Guys, I appreciate your help. I'll give it a try and see what happens. In my storage tank, I put a standard dose of Diesel Service additive, sold at Tractor Supply, but I do that so I can pump it over the winter, mostly, and it is supposed to keep down moisture in the fuel.

This sounds like it will really help the situation. It sure is cheaper than a turbo...

- DRankin, Actually I am still dumbfounded why many people would NOT want the R1s! hehe I can see that they are definately a good "all around" tire if you mow grass along with other stuff but all of my work is definately more basic ground work. I plan to do a lot of bucket work, till, woods work (trail-making and firewood pullin'), and eventually build a backhoe, etc. I have used R4s on construction machinery (Case 580k, skid-steer, etc) and yes they are a great compromise tire for different sites but in the really rough stuff they just don't bite enough and in the muck or deep wet snow they quickly turn into slicks. Not to mention that as far as I know, they are more expensive to replace and while I like the flotation aspect (esp. in the front), I still would trade that for a little less stress on the front end parts due to width and needing more power steering help to turn them. I used the same logic to specify the smaller 49" bucket for the 410. Yes more size is nice but in the long long run, the smaller the bucket the less stress on the machine overall and the less temptation to overload the front. I am pretty nit-picky I know but I have worked on and with machinery all my life and I know these little things do add up over time and hours.. Of course these are just my opinions. Again if I was doing more "estate" type work I would probably go R4, and I will admit, as some others have said...the R4s do look pretty damn cool. :)

- grinder, They seem ok to deal with although my experience is rather limited so far as I have only been there to buy the machine. I will know more if troubles arise. That is usually when you see a dealer's true colors. I will keep you posted if I can.

Jeff my book shows that serial #55478 would have been made in 1987. As far as which tranny it has, the "D" after the 2850 would mean that it is 4x4 and has a standard trans. Which would have the foward/reverse lever on the left hand side of the steering column and 4 speeds on the right. If it had the Gst it would have an 8 speed lever on the left fender.

Yeah that sun sure feels good , just throwing out some ideas.
You might check with the local state DOT garage and see if they are going to redo any roads around your area.
I know that sometimes the specs call for it to be rototilled
(asphalt) and hauled off,and some call for it to be reused.
Sometimes you can get a decent price on the reclaimed material. You might check with Farin Bros and Smith up your way. I think they are out of Brighten Plt.

Billy, I'm not sure how much a crew like that costs but I'm sure it's more than $600! I won't do it all by myself as I have a cousin who is willing to help. Mostly I plan on doing a half-dozen trees each evening and just whittle away at it. I need the exercise anyway.

Just purchased a L2850D 4WD with BF500 Loader and want to add a Nice Bruch Cutter. I want to know what size is best for this tractor and what BRAND is recommended. I have a Woods 72" finish mower I've been running on my MF135, I assume this will work fine on the Kubota. I've been very happy with my Woods Finish Mower, How would you recommend the Woods Brush Cutter?? Any other brands good??<br>

I've determined that your advise is sincere and given without motive other than to help those who want information, I typically look to see what you've posted even if that specific thread wouldn't normally interest me.

Just a question. How did you drain your fuel tank? If you did not drain it from the bottom you might still have a small amount of water left as the fuel will float on top.

The 4410 for the TC35 and the 4510 for the TC40. I can not address the price of the 4410. Here the TC40 runs between 17 and 17.5K.

Beagle: We haven't heard about IM's project in awhile but it sounds like you made an engineer to engineer comment. Keep it up and maybe some will rub off on me. I wish I could think in those terms. Since I can't, my only alternative is to guess and end up over-designing things.

Horse Guy: It's probably worth saying that not everybody has your options for digging--it's good that you do. The frame on my loader barely goes below ground level with a flat bucket. Since I don't have much of a digging option, I got the hang of doing shallow excavations with a box scraper. There's really no right or wrong here, a lot of what works is just how a person starts out and what they get the hang of.

I also never got the hang of taking dirt or gravel off lawns without gouges. Well, our lawns are are delicate enough so that big chunks will tear just from pushing dirt off of it and without the blade ever touching the ground. Besides, even with a level indicator the blade will dig in if the rear wheels go over a bump. At best I still end up with a bunch of hand raking to get enough dirt up so I don't kill the grass.

What I do for excavations and trenching is to dump onto vapour barrier. I can then push the top back into the hole. Eventually the pile gets low enough that the remaining dirt slides into the hole along with the plastic. Murf has done much the same but pulled the far ends of tarp with rope back across the hole so the tarp ends up on top. Something like that might be useful for you as well.

TN series is MUCH heavier than the TC55A. Hydraulic flows are much more 16GPM standard with the PowerShuttle. The PowerShuttle is similar to Kubota's GST only that it is a hydraulic reversing transmission. GSS allows shifting speeds on the fly, the TN's PowerShuttle does not. The TC48/55DA EHSS is similar in function the the TN PowerShuttle. We have sold dozens of TN's and I have not heard low power complaints except on the 55 model. The 75 is very powerful for its size.

I have a 3ph forklift myself--an after-market make my dealer came up with (WIFCO I think). It is actually a CAT II implement and a lighter one would be better for the tractor. It still out lifts anything I could put on a loader. My vertical lift is 5.5' not including 3ph height and I can get pallets on and off most flatbed delivery trucks. Loader forks may not go high enough so I could get the forks under pallets on trucks without bashing the rad into the truck. Got to be real careful with heavy loads up that high though.

My forklift was pricey but if material handling (especially stacked pallets) is a requirement, there are advantages. The advantages of true vertical lift, carriage tilt, a swinging carriage, 3-piece forks and the maneuverability of back-wheel steering are good to consider. Having a backrest and steel frame always between the load and you and the tractor also is good. I don't have carriage shift but I've gotten pretty good at backing up.
