As far as the wheel idea, how about a swivel type like on the back of a bushhog? Mine haven't shown much wear, as it is new and I leave about a 1/4" of snow as opposed to trying
to scrape it down to blacktop.
Harvey's idea might work with a cutting edge from a snow blade, not sure if it will take the pounding on the flat without breaking. You said you tried the "Fisher" type shoe? I'm sure your
familiar with H.P. FAIRFIELD IN SKOWHEGAN. Some of those
guys might have a suggestion,they know snow removal.

Don't know how helpful these are, but Deere has manuals available on CD. You might check with your dealer.

Some ebayers are insane. There is a NIB Stihl HT75 pole saw listed with a current bid of $570 dollars plus shipping and a few days to go yet on the auction. I think the HT75 is discontinued, and it's replacement is the HT101 which lists for $600. What am I missing? Is the HT75 a better saw than the new HT101?

Grinder - my wife and I polished off the 200 gallons. My wife is German, likes beer, and I got tired of returning cases of cans to the beverage center. So we started buying beer by the keg. We go through a 1/2 keg every 21 days - almost to the day.

That year I made the beer it was all from wort you buy in a can, boil, add hops, and ferment (in a 25 gallon food grade garbage can). I added some hot peppers into some bottles and made some pepper beer. I made a syrup/grain batch once - it was great. But I never made beer straight from grain - the best way.

So we drank the beer we made that year, we got obsessed with it. And then it took too much time and micro-breweries were taking off so it was easier to just go out and buy a keg of great beer from local micros - or just from the beverage center.

Murf,
What kind of bracing does it have underneath the canopy
that makes it FSOB? looks like some type of 45 degree
angle brace coming off the ROPS.It seems as though it wouldn't take much to be better that a fiberglass one ?
I have requested some more info if any one is interested

Thanks for all the fine answers. After going thru my finances (after buying the tc 40) I think I better watch my play money a bit. I went over buget on the tractor to make sure I had it set up exactly right. The 8N I was planning on selling to cover the other expenses, (well lets just say I decided to fix her up and keep it also) LOL
Just cant seem to part with it! I think I will be buying mostly KK, I will be buying "heavy duty" on all impliments that they offer. Hopefully I will have mostly good experiances with KK, I have examined a few of their items and they seem to look decent and the weight is definately there. Thanks again for everything.

duke, I have a set of the forks on my JD750 at work. The forks are connected with a piece of pipe but they slide on the pipe for width adjustment. The pipe hooks on 2 welded on hooks on the top of the bucketand rests on the bucket edge.

The loader normally has a capacity of 750# give or take. With the forks on it has a hard time with a barrel of alcahol that weights about 400#.
