Murf, I'm not sure we're talking about the same kind of pruning. I don't want to top them, I just need to prune the side branches up 12 feet or so. These trees are 30-35 feet tall now and I expect them to reach upwards of 100 feet before logging them 15 years down the road.

I live in rural ohio and used an atv and 36" plow with chains to plow for several years. I now use a Kaw Mule 3000 with a 60" blade. It used to be ahrd work, now it is fun. Also alot more uses for that mule than the atv around the orchard.

Hello

I have a 2002 Mule 3000 2wd I have found some excellent tires from Titan, 26" Blackwaters. You can see them at www.essexmfg.com but they are available lots of places. I plow snow and haul a full load of fire wood on steep woods trails with no traction problems and a decent ride.
I did not find it necessary to use the front end lift kit as reccommended but I suppose it would give more ground clearance.

Thanks Art, Seems like it should be worth more, compared to 8N fords and such, but I am comfortable with your numbers. Not sure the customer will be...but we'll give it a go!

I prefer the Stouts and Porters.

I have been buying Yuengling Porter (Yuengling is German meaning 'Young Man', pronounced "Ying-Ling'). But it does not at all taste like a German Beer, it is more economical than Guiness, but close in taste and color, for about $16 per case of 24. Yuengling is out of PA.

Rankin (no relation) also lists a set of carry-all forks that fit the BX series nicely. They will carry 1000 pounds and retail usually for less than $150. I have two sets of these and can recommend them.

The "power" generated by a backhoe is the result of the hydraulic pressure supplied to it. On my 4115 the pressure is the same at 1000 rpm as it is at 2800 rpm.

The speed of the backhoe depends on the the volume of fluid the tractor creates in gallons per minute.

My 46 BH has plenty of speed for me at 1500-1800 RPM's.

Deere's genuine Japanese tractors (2210, 4010, 4110 and 4115)are like your 750 series: some of the most reliable machines on the market.

The 4210 through 4710 have had service bulletins issued to correct problems created by prior service bulletins. In other words they are trying now to fix the fixes.

I would recommend you look very closely at a 4115 and a 46 BH package. If you can't find info on the backhoe I can send it to you.

When I bought my kubota I went to a dealer out in the middle of nowhere on a whim. He had one L3130 out front for display and at least six more out back still in the crate and unassembled. He also had all the FEL and valve choices right there. It was nice to call him back in the middle of the week to say I'd pick it up on Saturday. It was hard enough to wait three days.

I have 2 bush hogs, a 5 foot Woods Dixie Cutter like Horse Guy that I have used for 15 years & run over everything you can think of & it still mows like it was new. I gave $750 for it new. This past summer I bought a used King Cutter from a neighbor for $200 and it works just as good. I can recomend either one. Go for the cheapest one.

It realy is quite simple but you do need good tools that fit properly and don't stretch open under high torque loads. You could start with one injector at a time or loosen all, be sure you have a good plan of attack to retighten if doing all at the same time as you will have fuel flying everywhere. You only need to loosen them a 1/2 turn or so and not remove the lines. You should have someone else there to crank the engine for you. When you see fuel come from the loose fitting retighten while cranking to keep air from getting in. You might only need to bleed one for the engine to start so be prepared to tighten the rest quickly if you have them all loose.

Brokenarrow; Don't let the dealer talk you into something you'll regret later. I've been a farmer for over 40 yrs. and have owned many disks. first the tractor will lift any of the disks without any problem, but of all the disks you mention the 5.5 footer is the heaviest per blade, 47 lbs. per blade, without prior deep tillage you'll be disapointed. I've never owned a light 3pt. disk, but most farm duty disks are well over 100 lbs per blade. Try to find someone who owns one similar to what the dealer is trying to sell you, get their opinion or better yet go see it work. True subsoilers work the soil down to 15 to 20 inches below the surface to break up compaction, I really doubt that 40 hp. would pull even a single shank especially if you're in a rocky field. I don't know much about middlebusters, I think they were much more popular in the deep south, I've really never saw one around here. Hope this helps.

DRH1983; I traded my 4300 12/12, R4's for identical 4410 at Rowley Equip, Rowley, Ia. They've allways treated me right on sales and service. The 4410 won't be built till Mar 12. They ask if an interested party could come see the 4300 a few days after we traded,he bought it on the spot, so they must hold their resale value. Call Jeff at Rowley Equip, he'll direct you to me and you can take it for a spin. Frank.
