On the plastic vs. metal issue: My BX had a metal hood and plastic side panels. My 4115 has a plastic hood and metal side panels. You pays your dime......

Noise: I was dismayed at the awful ear-splitting racket emanating from my 4115(direct injection). Then I miscalculated the mix ratios and added about 3 or 4 times too much additive to the fuel and it started purring like a kitten. It is now at least as quiet as the 4100 (indirect injection/treated fuel) before it.

If your engine is noisy...... maybe this crap they sell us as fuel is at fault. Maybe it needs more CETANE and the only way to get it is to buy it in a bottle and pour it in.

My latest little Diesel... in my new RTV 900... has a little "crackle" when I accelerate. I am sure that will disappear when I put my treated fuel in it on the second fill-up.

Interesting Murf. Is that something you made or is it an off-the-shelf saw? I'd be interested in brands, price, etc. Quiet and light are GOOD. We only have to prune a few thousand trees :(

Thank you gentlemen for all the sage advise! Some extra good advise on the fuel. I'm still curious at what pound limit you should/must go to chains? I guess beyond the straps working loads? I'm going to buy chains and binders today, and carry/use both. As I figure it, you can never be safe enough. I also enjoy all the pics, guess I need to upgrade my membership. Thanks again!

How much are you manuals and is it a owners or service?
I have a small leak at the front wheels and would like to fix it. I hate to tear it apart without a manual to show torque of bearings and bolts. Do you have any experience with these and if so, is it difficult. It doesn't look to hard but sometimes looks are deceiving. I would like to think I can match up any seals by there dimensions.

Certain symbols set off that warning, like the little circled "a" above the "2" on your keyboard. I use (a) when trying to transmit an e-mail address and it slips through, or I spell out "dot com".<br>

I bought a B7500 and all i do is grading and dirt work. I have a MMM but will never used it, but it came with the tractor when i bought it used. Your'll want a 48" woods box scraper and a 60" woods medium duty rear blade with tilt and angle. Now if your wife will let you the Tilt and Top system hydraulicly adjust the tilt and the ripper/cutting edge angle of attack on the box scraper. I am a really thing about getting one for my rig. <br>

Tire chains aren't need to plow snow. I have a 3pt blower and do some drive ways with a 30% slope with no problem in 4 wheel drive on turf tires. I still going to get a set to deal with ice and mud. Turfs have very little traction in mud. I would love to have a set of R4's. But the turfs don't tear up customers lawns. <br>

Now for the loader get the LA302 that grill guard does work. I telling you because i found out on monday. I was stacking brush on a job when a log rolled down rhe pile and smashed the grill guard. Not even a scratch in the paint. The front grill and head lights runs like $400 bucks. <br>
You defently want to get that buckets strenghtend up at a welding shop. Its built way to light. I have bend and straighten it out twice since i have had it in the last two months. Also the head light aren't worth a darn. So i would also recommend one of my light bars at $225 plus shipping to tractor point memebers (see pics).

The term refers to the max load that you can tip into a truck. We moving the bucket needs to be kept as low as possible to the ground. When emptying or tipping the load into the truck one lifts the load to the highest position, close to the truck and rolls forward and tips the load. This weight will be less than the break load which is used in breaking the load out of a pile.

Ditto what Art said and I would suggest running the tractor at full power under load for a half hour or more to push any possible remains through the system. It can take more than just a few minutes run time as Art said.

Sounds like a nice unit you have. The new subcompacts have hurt the used market a bit in your size tractor but not much as the financing that is available for them is cheap. Your tractor should be in the 12,000 to 13,000 dollar range for retail. Auction price might drop a little to the 10,000 dollar range.

Correction: BEFCO is not identical to the Woods. I saw an identical unit at my Kubota dealer and confused the name. My unit is a Woods 5000 for 15-30hp tractors and I recommend it unreservedly. Sorry for the goof

If the deck on your 8200 lifts like mine did, you have a piece that fits over the left lower three point arm. This piece is connected to the lift mechanism bolted to the tractor frame by a rod. When I bought mine, both the lift mechanism and the piece that fits onto the lower three point arm were bent. I replaced these two pieces and adjusted the lift lever return adjustment properly and the lift worked as it should. Apparently it was not adjusted correctly before I got it and quite a bit of stress were put on these pieces from the lift pressure. I know for a fact that it is not hard to bend the heck out of the piece that goes onto the lower lift arm. There is also a correct length that the rod should be as recommended in the manual. If you don't yet have the tractor and deck operator manuals, I would highly recommend them. They sure come in handy. Hope this helps.

I've got a number of small tires that have lost the battle with Locus thorns and don't think they would be that bad with foam. Hand Truck, Generator cart, 150# broadcast seeder, DR field & brush mower, Garden Tractor...<br>

I'm also having problems with the front R4's tires on my new B7800. I can't believe the Locus thorns made it through them, but I seem to have developed 2 slow leaks up front. When the weather warms, I'll do a good wash & soapy water job on them to locate the leaks and see if I can determine the source. It looks like I may need to get good at plugging tires or go with foam or lots of "Fit a Flat". <br>

P.S. Edit - I just finished reading SLOW LEAK and TIRE SEALANT threads later in this forum, so I have seen the well made points about plugging, Fix a Flat & Slime. I guess there are very few new questions out there. This board has already covered most of it.<br>

What I didn't see is any info about Do It Yourself foam installation. Any help there? Is the other option the traveling tire repair guys? I'd hate to haul the tractor tires and all the little toys to a tire dealer.
