My father installed a seperate box, for this purpose about 3 months ago.<br>It is very clean & neat, not to mention almost idiot proof. Not that anyone here is an idiot, but everyone can make even the slightest of mistakes or skip a step. electricity doesn't give second chances. <br>IMHO, its worth the few extra bucks to have a small box installed, and hardwire it directly to the panel. Secondly, the wire for your dryer will be supporting the entire load. Shouldn't be a problem unless you have a sizable generator.<br>BTY, I think he spend less than $50-75 for everything.

Hi Pete;<br> If you live in Maine, you are welcome to come try out my JD 755 hydro in my small gravel-pit. Usually at a dealer one doesn't get to put the tractor through the proverbial paces. If you could find an owner of a hydro that will let you try it out in a real world situation for an hour or so, I think it would give you a much better idea. I would ask your dealer for some names of owners. I do think hydro is the only way to go.<br>David

I bought a 6 ft yard rake at Quality Store in Coluimbia City for 319.99 originally 349.99. It does good a job on pilling brush out of the wopod to burn, and leveling the gravel drive way.Hope it helped. matt@

The 4XXX series tractors are a new design and from the posts here and on other forums, still have a few bugs that need to be worked out. The 790 is still built by Yanmar, as the 50 and 70 series tractors were. The 790 is the former 770 with a bigger engine. I looked with interest at it a few months back. The only drawback for me was it's light weight. It is only 2105lbs. To me weight is as important as hp. The loader mounts the same way as the 4XXX series. It is quick detach.

Mel, I posted the message about the toe in, what I done to check it was to take a ruler or tape and measure the distance from the middle of each tire, rear then front, then subtract the two numbers, that will tell you if your are toe in or out,( mine was about 1 3/16). These two numbers should be pretty close, if not then lossen the two lock nuts on the tie rod ends, turn each tie rod in or out to make the front and rear the same, screwing in, will toe the the front out and screwing out will toe the front in, screw each one the same amount. Make sure you measure each time you make a turn, not knowing how well your know about tie rod ends there one on each wheel and connected to the steering rack, there is a grease fitting on top of it as well, hope this helps. (Try to keep the toe the same! front and rear.)

Brad,<br>I dunno about the particulars on your prospect,but here in south Mississippi Belarus has a real bad reputation in connection with the heat.Seems that the air cooling just does not keep up with our southern heat and humidity well at all.I have a Yanmar Grey and in my experience they sell for more than a Belarus.In the equipment auctions around here you can't hardly give them away.They are selling the other brands as quickly as they get them,JD,Kubota,etc seem to have no problem with our heat.Just my 3 cents (adjusted for Klintons taxes)...do your homework first!!!!<br>KeithD

I have a limited budget and had initially considered getting the L3010HST with a loader and backhoe but the B21 and L35 seems better suited for construction work. Will the B21 be sufficient for breaking up the ground and tilling or would I need the power of a L35? The dealers I spoke to seemed to have different opinions. I will appreciate any suggestions.

Growing up on a farm with old iron, we put mufflers on tractors (e.g. f-20) that never had them, to quiet them down. If I put an additional muffler on a J.D. 870s vertical stack, will this do any harm to the Yanmar diesel, besides maybe reduce power -- and will it help reduce purr in residentual area?<br>Thanks for any help.
