I must say that my local JD dealer, John at Peninsula Feed was top-notch. Very professional and knowledgable. He wanted to sell me a green one and I will send him a note telling him how it all came down. There was a guy at a dealer out of town that was a bit annoying. It was my first JD sales confrontation. I shut him down and moved-on.

I also must note that the most knowledgeable, friendly, professional Kubota dealer I talked to I did not buy from. It was an interesting situation that I'll explain possibly later this weekend.

kwschumm-- what a righteous-looking front bucket you have, I can't help but hum the "Jaws" theme when viewing it. What's that called? New building coming? Me too. A Miracle Truss 30 x 48 w/ 14' eaves arrives in May.

Sounds like a great price to me. Are there any more for sale at that price? In my opinion this tractor would meet your needs. I am assuming you will be adding a rotary cutter or finish mower to the equipment you mentioned.

That is one thing that really concerns me, mistakes. At least we think they are. I've read numerous specs on numerous brands of tractor and they all seem to be full of them.

I just don't get it. It seems as if the sites, brochures and even Operators Manuals are put together by a bunch of freshman college kids (sometimes 6th graders).

Folks -- My new 4310 arrived today!!! Of course, it is incredible!! But I wanted to respond to this thread that the guards from the Rental Upgrade Kit are very nice -- and, in my opinion, worth every penny and then some. My dealer told me he plans to recommend them to all of his tractor buyers from here on.

I'll try to get some pictures taken this weekend!

Chief; I have not had to replace the system on my truck yet.
I thought maybe parts of it were stainless as I have so little rust on my system. Not much salt thrown around there.
As the system is not too tight in the frame and the longest piece in the stock system is about 4 ft I doubt there would be much problems fitting a new system. Not exactly tight tolerances on these. At least on my truck.
I am not sure of the utility of adding 1 inch when the header is 3 inch. With out the SS I would suspect the additional size would just increase chances of internal rot from trapped water vapour.

Yeah, the 160 ft-lbs can be difficult to get, as access is limited. The trouble with impact wrenches is that the operator can seriously over-tighten the bolt. I'm lucky to have some tools. Socket extensions are a big help, 2X4's of various lengths can support the outboard end so the socket will stay on the nut/bolt better. While it's still Firmly blocked up you can turn the wheel to get the bolt in the best position, set the parking brake to keep it there. A piece of pipe to extend the breaker bar will make it easy, but a 1/2" or 3/4" drive torque wrench is an excellent $30 to $100+ investment. You'll need one for the loader frame anyway. My import 1/2" air gun will not do 150 ft-lb, though adverterised to do 250! Quality (Expensive) ones will do 500ft-lb or more. Be careful you don't break a bolt.<br>
After you change the rims around, be sure to check them often the first 50 hours or so, as the paint on the 'new' mating surfaces will wear in. Also a can of touch-up spray may be needed at the old areas. I believe the nuts/bolts are 23MM but a 15/16 6-point socket works for me too. <br>

I have them at home. At least the oil #. Should have the fuel number too. Can get them from the New Holland dealer just have your engine model number. Will try to get back to you this weekend.

Ted, they actually make a device for doing that now.

It is like a pair of pliers, one jaw has a groove in it just big enough to slip into the groove in the fitting, the other jaw has a smooth channel and a little nub sticking out. When you put the unit over the coupler and squeeze any fluid is channelled out and away from the person holding it. The operator doesn't end up wearing any that way.

I'm told there is another version, although I've never seen it, that captures the fluid in a little metal container which screws into the second jaw. This allows compliance with EPA-type reg.'s for zero discharge into the environment.

Willie, Your information is extremely helpful and insightful. I have decided to purchase the tractor. I am just waiting for the seller to find a bigger tractor so he can sell me the 6200. Patience is a virtue so I'm sure I will be more than happy with the tractor. As a note...I checked on the Koyker and they said they do not make a loader to fit the 6200 HST. My local Kuboto dealer recommends the Woods model. Installed will run me about $2800, so that will be my next purchase.

That's why we have gone to liquid ice melters almost exclusively now.

Liquid CaCl is far less of a nuisance to deal with than bulk salt or sand or any combination. Leftover material can stay on the spray unit for weeks without any problem at all, corrosion is eliminated as damage to concrete or plants.
