If you will pardon my ignorance, My B2400 has a pair of hydro hoses hanging off the right rear of it. I believe they were used to power a wood splitter. They are currently connected together with quick couplers. Can I assume these hoses can be used with a open 2 way control valve and ram to operate hydro top link? If I am so lucky
(rare) Any recomendations as to what Northern tool ram and valve to use?

OK, Richard..you crossed the line. The "Barney" thingee was uncalled for but I could care less. Yes, I survived..how the h..l would you think I could be writing this piece of brillance if I hadn't?? How about this. I could survive in west verginny very easily. All I'd have to do is wear bib overalls and pull half of my teeth and blend in with the crowd. Not that I'm stereotyping W.VA. Lawguy, you're absolutely right. These days just making eye contact in traffic can provoke a deadly encounter. Just walk softly and carry a BIG stick. Having our L.E. training does make us vunerable, legally speaking. That goes for permitees who are trained in shoot/don't shoot legalities. We've got to be spot on if we resort to deadly force, or the threat of it, lest we be held to a much higher standard of conduct than, say, Richard.

Again, Lawman, you're right about responsiblity when it comes to vehicles, having kids..etc. The vast majority of our social ills come from irresponsible parenting. But we don't need a permit to reproduce. Probably because the Kennedys or Clintons and the like wouldn't have been qualified for permits.

Most bad guys when confronted by an armed citizen don't have the guts to follow through with their evilness. In most cases when merely confronting an armed citizen they cut & run. The number of armed encounters in the U.S. between scum and armed good guys is in the 2,000,000/yr range. About 4 times more than the police experience. In many of these situations, had the citizen been unarmed, the call to 911 would have been to retrieve the body and investigate the crime scene. That really helps the victim.

I have a Kubota B6000E. It has a problem whith the glow plugs. It seems when I try to get the plugs to work whith the key; the wire is dead . Could it be the retifire or the switch? When you are using the glow plugs; do you hold the switch counter clock wise to the approate time? Or is there somthing I am doing wrong?

I can't seem to get the hang of that new C.T.O.A board. Both dealers seemed to think it was fluids. You have to admire them for not wanting to throw new parts at me that won't fix the problem. It seems weird the way its acting like the fluid flow is restricted some way. They may be right. Still too cold here to tell for sure.

My suggestion is if I was anywhere close to Chip thats where I'd buy my tractor. He will help guys like me that bought from someone with no support so imagine if you bought it from him. I'm gonna trade up someday and when I do I'm going to Chip. He sells lots of brands so I'm sure he can find just the right tractor for your needs.

Thanks guys, the quick tach is now on the order form. I just got a price I could not refuse, unreal what shopping will do for you, within 100 miles of me I had 3 qoutes and the biggest difference was 1,550, and 1,200 dollars. I am never going to impulse buy again (I think)

You might also look at the McCormick as the compacts are likely rebadged Landini. I was impressed with the specs also.
The powertrac publishes the best numbers for slopes on the NA machines.

In my opinion I think the salesman was pretty much on the mark with the 4110, the 4115 if your budget can accomodate it and you like the big gun of the small frame line. If you plan on doing rotary cutting and other landscaping tasks I think you will be much better served with one of these two.

Some of the task you mention such as pulling some old trees will be better suited to a heavier tractor with some heavier duty features. You could make do with a 2210 but I am not so sure you would be entirely happy with it in some uses. You can still do some very nice lawn cutting work with the 4110 or 4115 AND do most other tasks the are suited to a tractor larger than a lawn tractor.

I would check the relay module in the lower left corner of the fuse panel. I've seen a couple of these fail for no apparent reason. If you pull it out you might see a burnt spot on it. Pop in a new one and you are good to go.

I was plowing snow with my Shibaura 1540 with the fender mount electric control panel when I went to lift the blade and it went no where. I have tried to narrow it down to an electrical problem to no avail. I have surmised that it is a problem with the hydraulic solonoid/valve/ whatever is on the side of the rear end under the seat. It has 2 pair of wires to control up and down. My question is...is this part something that normally malfunctions? Is it easily replaced? Is there something else I should check? Fluid level is good. I have another pair of hydraulic outlets run by the console that function fine. Any help would be great.

Thanks for all the very good comments and advise. I'm favoring a new 2003' Ingersoll 316LGT with a 44" deck along with the snowblower for about $4700. The machine looks to be very well built, has the B&G Vanguard engine with hydro trans.It reminded me so much of the old Case tractors of the seventies- that I cherished as a kid. It doesn' look much different other than the decals and red color that Ingersoll changed.The machine looks as if it was American made as we used to know it. What do you think??

I think we're on the same wavelength. The problem as I understood it is that the tractor has three circuits and the third is used by a hydraulic top-link. I think Hydraulic Multiplier is or was a brand name for a version of the diverter valve accessory mentioned--a way of getting a selectable 2nd outlet from one control valve. It would mean long hoses if the valve is mounted towards the rear and operation may not be convenient. One likely could be added to a loader circuit as well but that would complicate loader operation. Since I don't have joy stick linkage on my loader, I'd probably look at adding a control valve to my loader valve.

It's probably obvious when you think about it that everything moves around pivot points so hoes don't make any linear movements--that's also true for 3ph's and loaders.

I think a skilled hoe operator could do the work as you described 'by chipping away at it' because the movements are all short. However, the work may take longer than expected, and coordinated controls may be worth the money as a time saver--depends on how critical the specs are of course. The effects of arc movements are fairly pronounced when using small CUT hoes.

To illustrate, A full stroke dig with the stick on a small hoe will be some inches deeper at the vertical than at either end without adjustments. During the stroke the bucket angle changes so the curl has to be adjusted to keep a good digging angle, but that changes the trench depth too unless the boom is changed. An additional complication is that with most CUT hydraulics you only get one movement at a time. Operating several valves simultaneously gives you the 'lightest load moves first' operation. The operations also happen at different speeds.

Anyway, digging level trench floors is something of an art and also takes more practice than I've given it. Truing walls is a similar problem but at least only the end walls are affected and the distances are usually shorter.

The 3054 is 4 wheel drive, the 3052 is 2 wheel drive. I can't tell from your title which model your pricing.
For loader work you definately want 4 WD(3054).
The 3054 with loader should run around $14,000.
They must want around $5750 for the backhoe.
Is your price for the 3054 ?
Does it include a subframes for the backhoe ?

I did a little internet surfing, Ya know cabin fever and all. I didn't find any for sale, but I did find a article that discussed the pony and the fact that in the early 50's they cost $900 New. It still amazes me that when you buy something it will depreicate over time up to a point and then it start to regain its value again the older it gets. I know the dollar is not the same value, but still.
It sounds like a pretty good deal for a toy to play with in the yard.

I'm in northern ca. also and the cheapest dk35 was 18300.00 to my door. It was cheaper to order out of state because the shipping was way less than the ca. tax. plus the local dealer wanted 1500.00 more. love my state but love my money more hope this helps.
