I can supply an adapter to adapt it to a standard size shaft. Reverser hasn't been available for quite a few years. Look for reverse running equipment or convert to reverse running.

Glenn Fitzgerald, have you considered a good quality used machine? I would suggest a Kubota G5200 or G6200. These things run forever and can be had at a very reasonalble price. Very reliable and durable engines. (3 cylinder diesel) Very simple yet straight forward design. You did not mention what you had in mind as far as a target price and a maximum price you had in mind. A John Deere 455 is another good reliable tractor that if well cared for by its previous owner, should last you many years. Besides snow blowing and mowing; what other uses did you have in mind for the machine? I ask because if those are the primary uses; a front mower ZTR might be another option.

I haven't but know people who have. A rebuild will cost you a lot less. A new engine starts at $1400. Rebuild $400 to $600. Depends on what you do.

Well i though about it real hard. (always a bad thing right) I am going to take the left side hydraulic ram off place a two by four between the bucket and the upper ram pin on the loader frame. The roll the bucket back using the right cylinder. The uneven pull should twist it back until straight. I asked a friend who repairs tractors for a living. He said he had done the same thing. Wish me luck.

Well, many of us desk jockeys couldn't make a living if we DID fabricate many of our gadgets. There was a time in my life when I had the tools and the time to use them, but I'm gone from my house from just about 7 to 7 every day, and I need time to take the kids to scouts, ball practice, band and wrestling. When I need something like a toothbar, I gotta' buy it if I ever want it. I enjoy my tractors and gadgets becasue they let me find time to live my family life. I suppose all that will change some day and I'll be back in the shop with a pin-up calendar on the wall and a dozing wife in the parlor. Gotta' get these kids through college fir$t, though.<br>

kadorken, sorry to hear about your bad luck. I use a block heater more to minimize wear and tear than anything else. Typically, I plug in my Cummins a few hours before I start it and it sure makes life easier on the intake heater grids and charging system. I will do the same with the block heater on my 4410. Makes for a much faster warm up time. Judging from where you live, I would reconsider that postition on block heaters. Anything can break of malfunction. Do you have a heated garage or at least put a magnetic oil pan heater on?

Hi Murf,

The snow slid nicely off the back side of my barn, the front side has ice dams so most of it is still there. Not worried about it, the pitch along with the sound construction should withstand quite a load. These other buildings are marina storage units. There is never a lick of attention paid to them during the winter, let alone someone bringing a salamander in to defrost the roof! So they get what they get,unfortunately one of my friends has a 39' Silverton that ended up being the victim of the neglect.

Ya, detent is important, but also need to decide if I want free wheeling nuetral or lock nuetral on the spool valve. I am looking at 12 gpm valves, which is large enough to handle any flow I could put out of the tractor. Would you suggest which way would be best for the winch motor.

you should be able to draw the plunger (piston) out from under the spring in the PS pump. make sure it is moving feely in the bore, maybe spray some wd-40 or CR-56 on it to clean some of the thick oil off. reassemble and try it. I'd use light hydraulic oil in the PS system.<br>

As I recall you cannot turn easily in either direction, which to me clears the cylinder, when the seal goes there it will usually try to go one way only. (I suppose it could be bypassing both ways).

My CC7265 starts like a champ down to about 15 deg F. Between about 0 and 15 she fusses and below 0 she's downright stubborn. I've seen magnetic block heaters but someone mentioned they preferred a hose mounted one. Anyone have any experience with one or can recommend options? Thanks.<br>

Pete,when I was 7 or 8 here in w.va.,if you saw a deer during a single day of hunting,you did pretty good. My grandpa said when he was a boy back about 1910,seeing a deer track was pretty exciting. Turkeys,were all killed out before I came along,they started stalking them in about the late 60s,and by about 1978 there were flocks of them running around.<br>

People used to live up all these little hollars and hills,then came the paved roads and they moved closer to them,leaving prime deer habitat,behind. People used to get probably 90% of their food from their land,back in my grandpas days,[country people I mean],they just about had all of them ate up,hell we used to eat groundhogs on a fairly regular basis,when I was a kid.<br>

People have enough money now I guess,that they buy their food and then go buy the wildlife food too,because they just love to watch the cute little critters eating in their yards and they think that they are alls thats between them and starvation. As for attachments buy stock in a V belt company as my dad has one and it likes to eat belts.He also has a 60 inch mower and it does not discharge the grass very good most clogs up in around the baffles they put in there.It will however go most places you can't even walk.

Has anyone installed this kit? The John Deere part # is LVB25453 and it is called a KIT,COMPONENT GUARDS, MID CHASSIS (Part is Obsolete). If you have this kit or have installed one; can you tell me what the kit contained? The rental upgrade kit is a waste of money. (it is nothing more than a C range lock out) I am about to purchase the above kit and wanted to get some feedback and comments from anyone who has experience with this kit. Thanks for the input!

I recently learned a new trick for the 2210 compacts. They have a glow plug heating system, however it only heats while the key is in the crank position. So what you do in cold weather is to engage the PTO, then turn the key to the crank position for 15-30 seconds, then push in the PTO switch and the tractor will start right off. This may keep you from having to purchase the block heater.

510 loader is the only option for the 03 series tractors.
You can now put the cheaper 510 loader on the 5005 and 5020 series tractors, however they do take different mounting brackets than the 5003 series.

There is nothing better than a Hydrostatic transmission for ease of use. The only reason to buy the gear transmission is lower price. However in the case of the 4110 Gear transmision, you are also giving up the live PTO. If you don't want to spend the extra money to move up to the 4100 hydro, look at the JD 2210. It has more hp than the 4110 and cost less. It does have smaller tires and no cruise control, but a really nice tractor for the money. As for maintanence... The hydro is not much different than a gear, and I believe them to be more reliable. Hope this helps.
