Wild,I respect your opinion on voting,BUT,if you vote for these idiots,it just makes them want to do it again.

Now as far as that if you don't vote don't bitch saying,bullshit,my not voting IS my vote,I serveed my country in the armed forces,I am at least a five generation american,and if you counted the american indian blood that has been rumored to be in my veins,then its a whole lot more generations then that,so you see I can damn well bitch all I want,and voting has nothing to do with it.
I honestly,[no shit],would like them to hold an election for president one of these days,and about 1,000 total votes is all that could be gotten,now what do you think would happen then? Something would sure as hell change,and thats what we need change,term limits,would be a good start,more then two parties,[who have a chance of winning],the elimination of letting millonares run,maybe the elimination of letting lawyers run,etc.

I am close to buying the new Kubota L2800 with a FEL, shredder, and a box blade. It seems to be a big improvement over the L2600 in several ways. This will be my first tractor, and I am wondering if there are any options I should add, such as a 3pt stabilizer kit, draft control, etc. What are these used for?Tractor will be used mostly for shredding 11 acres, and some dirt work. Also, anyone have opinions on box blades--light or medium duty for moving sandy soil??<br>

Sounds like you were trying to drill down all in one pass. Especially with a 3pt auger and no way to reverse--regardless of soil conditions you should be only going down 3 - 4 inches at a time, raising it to get rid of the spoils and drop it again. Yeah, it takes longer but all it takes is one good stuck! Plus it is easier on the auger's drive shaft top end (which can shear off quite easiy) and machine as a whole.

The HP is there for PTO power not the lifting ability--which corresponds to not necessarily the avaiable HP but the practicality of being able to lift using the 3pt hitch without lifting the front end or worse---breaking the rear axle and/or housing. I can screw my 24" auger into the ground with my hydraulic auger head on my 70HP skidloader, or jam it on an egg-size rock. Luckily I can reverse it hydraulically--when that doesn't work I can put 5,500 lb. of lifting into it and (usually) pull it straight up.

I know this is an older thread, but wanted to share a link to a company that makes what appears to be a solid toothbar and lanscaper bar. I'm setting my $ aside for the landscaper bar. It looks like this design is as solid as any, and as expensive, too. Reference courtesy of "Henro." The landscaper has teeth every 2.5-3 inches versus the 10-11 inch spacing of most toothbars. Better for "raking," backdragging, smoothing, and brush removal work. The front edge is a "wrap-over" design which protects your bucket's cutting edge, adds rigidity, and provides a wear surface on the bottom of the bucket.

From your pics, it appears you now have the curtis cab. Is it what you expected?

You pictures indicate the height of the cab is below the ROPS (critical for me since where I park the tractor there is 1 inch clearance between the ROPS and the entrance). Is it safe to assume the cab didn't add to overall height ?

What is the rear of the cab ? Glass or plastic, or open? (no one ever shows pictures of the rear of these things).
I need to blow snow in reverse so need to determine the feasibility of using a cab for this?
[of course, then I would have to mount a hydraulic chute movement system rather than the manual one, but I'll cross that bridge when necessary).

Thanks in advance for any insight you can provide.

I am buying a TC40 this month and have a few extra $ left for some new impliments. What would your suggestion be if you could pick 2 impliments for breaking/preparing a five acre old (8 year old) clover field. I have a new 6' KK dick/harrow but never used it yet. (My old 8N was in pretty bad shape). I am planning to round up this year before preparing the 5 acres to get some of the weeds back in control but am new to the TC40 fwd and have no experiance in what it can handle for impliments.<br>

dedeye my light does not require any holes to be drilled in to the rops. The 4 U bolts clamp it to the rops. The wires are held on the the rops by zip ties. So i been there, done that. I am already signing autographs.

Have you ever heard of corriher giving a little better deal if you buy 2 tractors at the same time? A guy I work with is also going to buy about the same tractor I want to, I wonder if shipping is by weight or if it is buy the load? Any ideas?

Kubota went to 2.99% for 3-year, 0.99% for 2-year, 0% 1-year, on their promotional rates, so I assume Deere will follow suit

I am considering a Sims cab I have some pictures. I can not tell where and how cab sits in relation to the tall rops. I've tread these cab waters B4.<br>

Grinder I'd have to agree. I guess the trick is getting a good bond. I have seen 1" asphalt overlays with trapped water from poor pavement below. You'll notice a round pot hole 1-2" deep with a smooth level bottom...

I have to ask our lab engineers about the blend. We are a small company and our lab rats work with us on a daily basis.

The locks also don't necessarily disengage by simply letting up on the lever if you need to steer. There's pressure on the mechanism as long as the tires have unequal traction.

If you're unfamiliar with lock operation, the main thing is not to engage them at high engine rpm and especially if one tire is spinning.

Around here they don't have 4 or 5inch pipe to work with at the muffler shops, They can order it but by the time you get all you need to do the job and there install fee you could have a nice net system installed your self much cheaper. It's easy.
