Its 90 out and I'm talking snow removal...!!!<br>I live in Western Pa. clean the sidewalks at a plazza. I am interested in upgrading to a B7300 Kubota. I got a 21,000 sf driveway to clean this year.<br>Over 2000 feet of sidewalk to remove snow from.<br>I was loking at a power broom or front bucket for the Kubota. The back blade is cheap enough to have anyway. I use a snow blower now a 12hp twin stage and in wet snow its a challenge to use. So I am not crazy about a tractor mounted snow blower. The angle blade vs a bucket (costs about the same) blade use only in winter and can't stack snow or use down pressure like with the bucket.<br>Any thoughts or ideas???<br>Kubota vs other equipment ?<br>Is the B7300 too small for a parking lot this size?

Ultimately it will depend on how hard the generator is working. If you are pulling a lot of amps, the tractor will burn proportionately more fuel.<br> Compact tractors get great HP hours per gallon. It would be hard to find more efficient motors. I wouldn't be surprised if a 5 to 10 KW generator burns less than a gallon/hour in normal home use.<br> As a general rule, the governor on a tractor has a wide range and the motors have heavy flywheels to help smooth the governing. A tractor should adapt to the load very nicely. If you are doing something that is extremely frequency dependent - like running a vintage hi-fi with a turntable - then any small generator will fluctuate more than you like. <br> Roger Loving<br>

All of what I have said, can be done better just the way I said. As far as warranty claims waiting to happen. It has never happened! Not in the 13 yrs having a Compact tractor. Maybe that is in your Kubota Manual. They mention those things for in manuals for liability purposes for inexperienced users. I personally don't think you even know what you are talking about when it comes to this subject. So don't throw your two cents worth in till you know what you are talking about. If you have never picked your front wheels up off the ground to do any kind of work at all to apply preasure etc. you are either a wimp with your tractor, because of inexperience or just lying to me for the sake of argument. <br>

I disagree with most of the people on this board that always recommend getting a bigger tractor than you think you will need. You will end up spending more, getting a tractor that is heavier and more likely to damage your lawn, harder to transport, etc. Analyze your situation and get what you need. The resale value is very good and if you find in a few years you really need something bigger, you can trade it in. I have a JD 4100, just right for my uses on 40 acres. If I need power I have a Bobcat. If you really are going to be doing heavy work, than by all means get something bigger but don't get talked into more than you need and having to spend more time cutting your lawn to avoid damage.

I am interested in buying my friends 1980 Yanmar 240d, diesal, 240 original hours, 24 hp, 4 wheel drive, 2 sped power take off,(540 & 1000), 3 point hitch,green, standard bucket(4 foot wide), in near perfect shape. I have no idea what it is worth. I was hoping for some suggestions. If I bought it I would need to buy a backhoe attachment, anyone have any idea how much thaaat will cost? tom , cub tractors and farmall H's, never saw one that was four wheel drive nor did deere lets stay on tract and finish deere doesn't hold a candle to kubota's market share under 40 horsepower. deere is the recognized marketing leader another words leader in B.S. ie deere coming out with a new way to measure loader capacity!I've not seen another piece of literature that measures load at the pins . I can go on for hours and days about stretched truth's. There are manufacturers that are right on with there claims and there are those that are underrated and then there is deere, read the fine print I know because I do demo's when needed and I've been at this a long time and deere isn't the only one out there doing it just the most recognized in the industry. I don't sell one brand of tractors nor any other products I have at least 2 lines of every product I sell often they are rated by shop frequency and customer satisfaction. I know what I can trust to perform the way it needs to, my eyes are not closed but wide open with 30 years plus of this buisness and more to go and looking ahead wide open to new ideas and concepts. When something new comes out thatis able to prove itself I'm ready!

Iseki engines are made Izusu so check out oil filters for japanese cars. My 3 cylinder diesel 22 horse takes the same oil filter as a Toyota 1984 Camry.I went to Fleet Farm a, big Wiconsin hardware/farm supply with hundreds of filters on an open shelf.The Toyota/ Fram was .something like 2956 and was about 1/2 inch shorter

Fleetguard makes excellent stuff and probably makes the original filter. I would call your local dealer parts dept. and have them look it up. Napa gold is good too. Napa has all the cross-reference manuels and part no. The counter guys can look it up for you. I use the Napa Gold filters in my tractors.
