They made the 970 for about 8 years. What year is yours?
I checked out the price of a 1995 970 4WD on machinerylink.com and the price ranges from $13292 for one in premium condition to $11400 to one in fair condition. They are not clear whether the loader is or is not included in that pricing but I'm sure the backhoe is NOT. So the price seems pretty good to me.

I bought the Kubota for a number of reasons not the least of which being: the local C-NH dealer was neither helpful or interested in my business. So...

Like its been said here before, dealership personnel make a big differance, right Art?

As far as modifying the ROPS, I will gladly take the responsibility and become "my own warranty station" on that topic, meaning if it fails, I will blame only myself.

Harvey, we can do that over the internet or by phone. I've had several people swap for just the cab. Then they did the rest after they found out how good the first time was! I can see you are patient so your kids will have the new tractor to play with.

I normally don't give my wife's car inside heated parking and I'd just checked her air pressure a week ago on a Sunday morning and all was fine at 33lbs. I was walking by her car wednesday nite and thought they looked low so I got the gauge out and they were at 23lbs nearly on the money so out in the cold I go and added ten lbs. Today while in the garage again they are at 43lbs. Yes the cold does make a difference. There was 65 degree's differnce between the cold to the warm.

Thanks for all of your feedback it is most appreciated. When they ship do they have a truck with ramps to unload or do you need to hire a tilt bed car carrier to unload?

All the hoses,[for raditiator],can be bought at about any auto store,now I havn't had to buy any yet,but was told by many. The top hose is napa#777,bottom ff233, little hose 9807 5/8 i.d.,I believe these numbers are for a 254,but you should be able to match one at a good store when you bring your old one in.Who you buy your tractor off of makes a big difference,for instance,if I need a question like this answered,I just call northern,they tell me,they will send it to you free of course if its under warrenty,if not they will sell it to you,they have a lot of stuff in stock,but on something like this,its probably a lot quicker to go to the store and buy one. Green,never owned or drove a wrecker,and never gave one much thought,but if I rolled my car and then called a wrecker and they brought a rollback out I believe then I would be thinking,[and then asking them],how were they planning on useing that to right the car? Looks to me like a roll back would be totally useless for this unless they had a pig pole of somekind on the back. Richard

i got a buddy of mind who has a B8200 2wd hydro. Also has a L3400 i think. But has two house and would like a snowplow for the B8200. He wants a price and were in PA are you located email me with some pictures.

4 treated 2X6 3' long or so. 4 4" steel casters bolted with 1/4 X 4.5 carriage bolts each corner. The back of hoe needs a 2x 4 under it to off set the balance.

Dolly is in shed and hoe is out at woodshed at moment. so no pics anytime soon, unless I have to put it on this time of year to bury something.

I moved mine around in the shop last winter by myself but as I said earlier you'll have to tie things together with rope or they will settle.

Hi Jean,
Can't tell where you are but I have got Jinma, and KAMA/TaiShan tractors here side by side in Arkansas, also Kioti and Long Farmtracs! Hope to have some Lenars in soon too! Every piece of equipment has pluses and I guess our selection is broad enought to help the tractor shopper shop!

Perhaps the CTOA (Chinese Tractor Owners Association) needs to have a convention, get all the importers to put their wares on display. Anyone else interested?

My machine has a 40 amp in-line main. The Fuse Block has 7 slots, all of which are used for factory options. I guess I buy a new panel, run a wire direct from the battery, and have whole new panel for anything I add.

The Battery is 600 CCA with a 40 AMP alternator, If I run a new panel, should I increase the alternator? I don't think 40 amp is very large for a machine once I start adding lights or anythign else.
