I know it's ok anywhere between the two marks. The manual states that,but with all the autos and trucks I've changed oil on throughout the years, they were always full when at the top mark. The bx only specs for 2.6qts, which is alot less than 5-6qts for my auto and truck. I would think that with less capacity, it would be more sensitive to not having full capacity in the pan. Just wanted to make sure it is full.

I dont think I ran him out of town with my verbal banter !! I should have known better because he presented the same challenge on another forum, but he was less adament about it. His sgueegee idea is a good one, but it's been out for some time.. I guess what got me going was what i think was unrealistic claims and performance especially towards someone who was going out the buy this particular attachment. What happens if it dosent do what he was told it would here? My experience with a 4100 with a rear blade on pavement, is that it works very well with lower snow fall amounts. 2 ft is a ridiculus claim especially when i recently attempted the same feat with a rear blade and a more capable machine. This blade can be reversed 360 degrees and angled. It would be the same performance if driven backwards into a 20-24" snow bank compared to a front blade. It basically stop the machine in its tracks (traction)...I find this a very imformative site with real good people, and I'm sure BigPete can add value. Just be realistic and factual...<br>

mono, what state do you live in? I am a KIOTI dealer in Pa. I bring all my stock tractors in with industrial tire even the ones with mowers, I should also add that they all have frontend loaders, It just seems thats the market!!

In Economics, 'market valve' doesn't have much meaning except when money actually changes hands. It takes a very large number of almost identical transactions for average prices over N.A. to bear much relationship to an individual in a particular place who is looking to buy or sell a used tractor. I don't think there are near enough sales of particular models a year for averages to have a lot of meaning--especially since most of us tend to treat our tractors like Vikings and their long ships. Besides, I think that owners as we know them around here would make more for unique than similar transactions. I'm happy Art chooses to spend his time here.

Settled on a front snow blade with the purchase. Checked it out the other day, I am pleased with the set up, with that blade mounted at mid-frame, it has a lot of stability, and I am pleased I did NOT go with the quick attach bucket/snow blade set up, it puts the center of gravity out of whack, in my opinion, and I'd be sliding around up front on any kind of grade, and I have a slightly pitched lane..and more severe in some places..I'll learn the loader disconnect, in favor of having that stability. Thanks for the input. it is appreciated. Thanks to ALL who gave me pointers and advice. I was a Farmall Cub nut for twenty some years, so if I can help on that score, give me a shout. Ponyman

Glad to hear you also think this is a sharp tractor! There is more info on the main Page. The TS354C as shown is under $9K. Yes factory loaders and backhoe are available and we are also working with Koyker to supply brackets for their loaders.

I think I bought my 354 off the same guy that Edward bought his from. He was the cheapest I could find without self importing...........seems to have worked out ok for me. I've given the 354 no mercy for her first 150 hours and so far I've been very pleased for the price. Would have liked to have had the backing of the big guys but it costs the few more dollars I did'nt want to spend on a tractor.

That sounds about like heaven, in my part of the state all the city folk are moving out here turning this place into a suburb of Washington D.C. All the local people can't even afford a house now and the farm land and orchards are disappearing fast. The city folk are turning our state into a mess. I live about 10 miles from the Charles Town Racetrack and since they have put those slots in, the roads are always packed. City people drive through the county like they are crazy, and always in a hurry!!!
My parents have a summer place up in Preston County and it is like you described as far as the peacefulness and no crime. I try to go up a few times during the summer and enjoy the peace and quiet. I stay away in the winter time (don't want to get caught up in all the snow up that way) except to clean off the roof to avoid a cave-in.
Of course I imagine you guys get your share of city folk down there for the New River rafting.

A surfactant is used to break the surface tension of the mixture to aid absorbtion by the plant. I've got a bottle but the label fell off a long time ago so I can't tell you the brand. It's not hard to find, though. In my experience any gardening center will have it.

I bought (3 years ago) a Balti-matic ($400+) with high hopes of spreading sand on my 1400' drive. Forget it. Sand will bridge and the agitator will spin in the middle. Ended up buying a Western Pro Flow II. Has a small conveyor in the bottom. All 12v. Put it on my plow truck, 98 GMC 1 ton dump. It works the way it is SUPPOSED to. Bad news; $2200 new. Got mine used from a bud for $1050.

I've been doing loader and blower work on our snows for the last 6 weeks with a MF GC2300. I'm running unfilled turf tires, 4X4 all the time. I bought a set of rear chains from TireChains.com but haven't had to use them (yet). I'd rather have 'em & not need 'em than the other way around...

Art this statement is not true. All quiet line (QT)cubs had engines with starters. My son has a 1450 cub and it has a starter. My manual also states a 1650 (16HP ) has a starter.<br>
They came out in the mid 70's till 1980 before MTD took over.
