I have been trying to decide between the nh tc55da and the tc40d.Has anyone much experience with the nh backhoe attachments? Does hst help much with backhoe work?

The M-5400 is only 54 horsepower on the engine. The 1600 is larger. The six foot mower is no trouble for it to run. The four bottom plow is all it would want.

For a tractor of that caliber a new after market loader would run about 4000.

When you get the tractors out on a bush-hog then you will see them come up into the operating range. With Kubota's high capacity cooling systems you do need to work them. They normally do not have any overheating problems with proper maintance.

Kubota has done a lot of work to make a perfectly simple hydro that performs excellently in all conditions. The Super UDT is an excellent oil and is one of the latest acceptable oils for in all transmissions. I realize that it is more expensive then the oil you might currently be using but it might also be a far higher quality.

That is a two stage clutch set-up. My initial thoughts are is that the bush-hog pushed it into the pond as the second stage didn't release the pto.

We are having a LOT of snow for this area, and we've had a half dozen power outages of 6-8 hours so far this year. It gets mighty cold sometimes and the two fireplaces aren't cutting it. Our 13kw genset will run everything we need except the heatpump, and it would cost maybe $8-10k to install one large enough to power that.<br>

I was thinking of retrofitting a radiant floor system on the main floor of our house, heated by the propane hot water heater. A number of companies advertise these (radiantec comes to mind). Most of our main floor is wood so we don't have to deal with the insulating characteristics of carpet, and the basement ceiling is fully accessible. They claim you don't need a heat exchanger but I'd install one anyway to insure the safety of our potable water.<br>

Here is one for the tractor board! The boat I am currently refurbishing came with a radar unit mounted on a homemade radar arch. It was a disgusting looking thing welded from square stock aluminum with little regard for appearance. It conformed nicely to the butcher job on the wiring and interior, I left it at the marina prior to having the craft hauled to my barn. I fired up the batteries today after cleaning all connections and removing rube goldberg additions to the factory harness, still plenty of cleaning up to do but it at least appears safe to use now. Since I have never owned a vessel with marine radar, I am wondering if I can mount the antenna above the cabin without degrading the signal forward. I realize I will lose the functionality of the rear 1/3 of the unit due to interference from the fly bridge, but I can live with that. Perhaps Murf might have experience with one of these?<br>

Thanks guys. I already talked to my dealer and no warranty problems. He even recommends a sub frame Landpride, for about $6k with tax. I was just looking for input on peoples experiences with the 3pt version versus the subframe on my tc24d. It is brand new 2004. weighs about 1623lbs plus loader. Are any particular 3pt versions better than others? I see a few being sold new for around $2600. Is it one of those 'you get what you pay for' stories?

I have been absent fron this site for a time and am reading with interest this thread on logging. I have a B7500DT that I use a lot to log on 100 acres of hardwood lot. I have a Norse 290 winch and use chain chockers, not cable chockers. I have little problem skidding tree length or sections. The biggest problem I find is keeping the front end down and the fairly low lift force of the 3ph. The raeson for the small tarctor is simple. I want to be able to improve the lot not destroy it with heavy machinery. I see far too much forest destruction here in New Brunswick and will leave my own ground better than I received it. Frozen ground and a little snow are great assets for skidding but not necessary. Any good wood mill has a wash pond and dirt comes right off before the wood hits the steel in the mill. The 7500 is small but ceratinly futs the bill for me. Murf's grapple hitch looks good and I see most newer commercial tree harvesters here use grapples rather than winches. However hydraulics and weight are factors when using soemthing like my tractor. For those of you who read my previous mesages and recognize NB as home of the Atlantic Salmon the runs of MSW salmon were very good this year. Tight lines and good skidding.

Peters is right, you won't be the first one with this problem. IIRC the dealer has a fix for it. If yours is under warranty you have it made - not sure if their is a PIP program for it though.

Certainly looks like the old AC unit. I think I made the comment on another post that the old cubs and AC are still used farming while most Ford N are put out to pasture so to speak. I guess there is a large enough market for a new market row garden tractor.

In your profile you state making wildlife food plots, clover , and alpha is a good seed to sew for that. a good disking will be fine for those plantings. a bottom plow will probley be best for doing corn, as it turns soil over deeper. I've been doing alhpa and clover for 3 seasons now adding to the size each year by using a box blade to cut sod out and then disking down 4 to 5 inches. works out great with only useing the two implements. and the deer love it!

I have a LB 1914 with a Kioti 102 loader. Is this loader
made in the USA? The joy stick has a Made in USA label.
The ID plate on the loader has Daedong. I don"t see this

The price sounds fair to me. I have the same machine 98 7305 w/R4 tires but I bought mine with 390 hrs. I also have the woods 72" mower and have the Cub Cadet 417 loader (I think that it to is a Woods relabeld with CC on it). The whole package including delivery was 13K. But that was 1.5 yrs ago so the machine was newer at the time. It was the best investment ever. I can now mow my lawn in under an hour (3 acres) along with the park and the beach (5 acres) in another 40 minutes (it's flatter and less obstructions). I'm so used to the mower now that I don't even use my push mower to go around trees and other obstructions.

I see you saw my post on 7305 power problem. Outside of the power problem, I love the machine. With the fix of the power problem it is great! It always starts: even when it has been -10 here in MN. My wife hummed and hawwed when we first got it - now she loves it. She uses it to cart stuff all over, move stuff around, and bring up her pickings from the garden. She now says that it was definitely one of the best purchases we made.

If you pick it up - have fun!!!! The price seems right!

Coating with an anti-seize compound does make sense. Looking at the rear axle however, it seems that it would all have to be disassembled to get into it to coat any of the linkages that were having troubles. The linkage that was stuck was the arm that goes through the casting on the rear axle and goes inside the axle itself (it could have been the brakes that were stuck inside - I don't know since I didn't disassemble).

Life is good now however. I think that I will just try to get into the habit of using the brakes more often (I don't think I've used them more than 2 or 3 times in the past year).

Even if you get the wheels moved in..... how much does that big boy weigh?

I have seen some of those big ag monsters from that era weigh 8000 pounds on the hoof.
