I think that's great! I would still have caution for fear of a return of the problem if it is rust. There could be changes in the amount of humidity in the storage shelter as to the condensation in the brake area. Good luck!

They keep the system pressure down on the BX's. If memory serves it is around 1800 PSI.

The B-7800-2910 chassis is smaller but nearly equal horsepower to the L-3130. The smaller more nible lighter chassis of the B-series in some places will out work it's bigger brother. The lighter chassis is also a little more economical to run and takes up a little less room in the garage.

I see a wide or roughly five thousand dollar spread and you still would need to spend more for a mower for the 750. The Kubota mowers have been a good buy for years. Look at the double V width for strength as well as life. The front blowers are easily worth double the money of a front blade if it being hydraulic angle should be worth about 800. Loaders used for compacts have a rough value of 1000 plus. Price of new front blowers if available is roughly 3000 plus. The blade around 1500 and belly mower about 2000 to 2500. I would think that smaller would be better, but with your hilly terrain a low center of gravity would have advantages.

If that is true then it might be wise to go to a junk yard and remove one from a more popular tractor and modify it to fit. The thing to try to find is one with the same size hose so yu only need to modify the bracket that holds it. I have not tried our parts department to see if we have them available.

The 9 inch bucket is really handy there. I assume you are going to use some sort of sonotube to pour concrete into?

Recently I built a 500 foot section of fence out of railroad ties (for uprights) and horse wire.

It was much easier to dig a narrow deep hole with the BX and a 9 inch bucket and backfill the posts so they were square and level than it was to drill a hole with the PHD that would barely fit the the railroad tie and then fiddle with a set of clamshells to get it set right.

Also, any rock bigger than a tennis ball can stop the PHD where the backhoe will pry basketball size rocks right out of the ground.

I'm somewhat in the same boat, and have done what you're talking about in the past, so I'll give 2 different perspectives. I am in the process of buying a Cub Cadet 7305 w/FEL & BH. I'm figuring total weight of 4700 lbs. I own an 18' 10K car hauler trailer....all steel, flat deck with rear stabilizers and drop deck that I picked up for $1900. I just wanted to have it, to move cars, or my new Cub, and have used it to move my Cub 1782 with FEL and Box blade (about 1500 lbs.)
I also have a 6-cylinder SUV...a 4 runner....with the 3500 LB load it pulled it OK (w/o extra brakes) but I also haven't hauled it long distances and did take it very easy. I'm seriously doubting the 4runner will be able to haul 6800 lbs (over rated max), and my other truck (1980 Scout w/nissan diesel) will barely get out of it's own way. It's got lots of low-end torque, but towing a load - uh uh. I did hook it up to my trailer and 1782 for a test run, I think it took me about 5 minutes to get to 60 MPH.
Sorry, I digress. Now I'm using a buddy's new Powerstroke to pick up the Cub 7305, absolutely no problem there....which is why I'm considering a Powerstroke for myself.
To the second half....I've used Uhaul trucks on several moves....and have put my Scout in the back on a couple. I THINK you should be able to move the CUT in a box truck...I would use the FEL against the front of the truck, displacing the load across the loader....and chock the back wheels with big rubber chocks for a steel floor, or nail down wood chocks for a wood floor. Your friend is right, there are no suitable tiedowns for vehicles/tractors. I traveled from FL to WA with no problems. Of course, I also had the rest of the van packed to the gills, which held everything in place. NOTE; no sudden starts or stops, especially on a hill! I did this, and heard a big bang....the scout hit the back door and put a nice dent in the door. Of course, I didn't have it chocked down, on a steel floor....big dummy.
Lastly, my little trick for loading/unloading....find a hill/slope somewhere around where you're loading/unloading....I searched around a little, found a little slope...used double 2X12's....no problems! I guess the frequency/distance you'll be moving your equipment would dictate renting/buying....also, Uhaul has the drop-down deck which gets the deck real close to the ground...and rent a diesel, which gets twice or 3 times the mileage of a gas truck.

Dang! My first post only had the second of two paragraphs. I corrected it. Don't imagine the missing part added much to your comment though. It was mostly for people who haven't heard of the relationship between pump flow and reservoir capacity. I think the rule of thumb is around 2.5 to 3 times reservoir capacity to pump flow and more for motors.

My curiosity is that I can see how cooling increases with flow through an oil cooler but I can't see it changing much if there's just a reservoir. I'd think that heat dissipation from a reservoir would be mostly dependent on the surface area and time. Flow through it shouldn't make much difference. From some perspective I'd think that work at lower rpm's would be spread over longer times so heat problems should be less if anything. That is, as long as the efficiency stays the same, which is what I don't know. I am interested though. Reduced efficiency would increase the amount of heat generated in getting a job done.
